The Knowles in Tile Hill village, near Solihull, offers care to people aged 65+, those with physical disabilities and people living with dementia.
The care home accommodates 38 residents.

My daughter and I cannot express our gratitude and praise for The Knowles care home. The manager and carers are so kind and compassionate. My husband was so well looked after by them all and to us during our everyday visits. The care home is outstanding in every way, second to none.

My dad spent the last weeks of his life at The Knowles care home and I can say that his care was second to none. The care and compassion he was shown were heartwarming and nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff and manager! After new decorating throughout the home, the feeling of organisation, the staff, as have always been, are caring and patient. I've seen them stop whatever they are doing to take people to the toilet (which can be a long job) and changing clothes sometimes. If we have any questions they are always answered. The cleaner, laundry girl, young men and women and older staff are genuinely caring. We are at peace knowing our mother is protected.

My mum has been at The Knowles for a long time and is doing very well thanks to their care. If there's anything she needs, they see to it. When we visit her, they offer us dinner as well. Great care home.

Overall, I find the home very pleasant. The staff are all very polite and good to the service users. I like that the service users have always got or get drinks, perhaps encouragement to drink would help. The curtains/bed linen could do with updating and perhaps a shelf in the room for personal possessions. I did mention to the manager that I thought the carpets could do with being replaced with vinyl flooring as it is more hygienic, he assured me that they have started to update the upstairs and will include getting rid of carpets. Bigger TV would be a good idea in the lounge. I always get offered a hot drink.

When visiting my brother-in-law, I always find the staff to be very friendly, helpful and efficient. Activities for all residents are very stimulating, especially the singer. I always know that when I leave, my brother-in-law is in safe hands.

My mum has been here for a couple of weeks. The staff and the manager have been wonderful with her. Helping her with her needs, encouraging her to be more mobile and to eat. Mum is settling well with all the lovely carers helping her.

I can't praise the staff enough. They are always there looking after my dad's needs. They are very conscious of Covid and everyone's well-being. They keep us up to date with Dad's well-being. They have also been fantastic in the way they dealt with the passing of my mum over the last few days. Once again, I can't thank them enough.

I find the staff very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of activities for the residents to do if they choose to. My mum loves the food and all the staff help her with all her needs. Great to get back to some sort of normality with trips having started again.
