Both my parents were residents at Victoria Manor Care Home until recently, sadly mum has now passed away.
I have been very impressed with the commitment shown to give residents fulfilling lives; including lots of exercises, Zoolab visits, events and entertainment. In the past 12 months they have "fulfilled wishes" of many residents. Mum thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful day out in London and dad visited a garden centre. A recent seaside trip to Weston Super Mare was excellent and impressive preparation was done to cope with dad's travel and personal hygiene needs due to his loss of mobility.
Victoria Manor have always been good at keeping me informed of any health issues and have taken appropriate action whenever required. The kitchen staff are very supportive, providing foods to encourage mum to eat.

The carers have been respectful and extra vigilant towards dad at this sad time, making sure he is okay and arranging extra time with Amber (the therapy dog). Thank you everyone at VM

Mum was quite poorly and underweight when she arrived at Victoria Manor. She was anxious and feisty but the carers managed to work their magic and mum gained some weight. She did settle eventually and I did have some pleasant visits.

The manager Tina and Alysia were also very supportive.

Victoria Manor Care Home arranged a seaside trip to Weston-Super-Mare this week for residents. The entire trip was arranged with precision, care, thoughtfulness and kindness to ensure everyone had a safe and thoroughly wonderful day. I was invited to accompany my mother for the day and to say I was impressed by every aspect of the trip is an understatement. I continue to be impressed by the care and kindness shown by all staff at Victoria Manor and in everything they do and their obvious aim to make every moment of the resident lives enjoyable is to be highly commended. Thank You

The staff at Victoria Manor are outstanding, unfortunately my mum recently became unwell and this resulted in her being admitted into hospital, thanks to the dedicated staff team she received the medical assistance she required quickly, paramedics pointed out that the staff member was very knowledgeable and gave them the information they required quickly and efficiently, the staff have been excellent and I cannot thank them enough, visiting my mum in hospital in their own time. They truly care about their residents, I couldn't wish for anybody better to be looking after my mum, to us they are her family too. Thank you so much.

I am very pleased with all aspects of the care home. Staff look after residents well. My mum is always well dressed and her personal hygiene is attended to. Activities happen on a daily basis. We have just attended an open day held in the lovely garden. Food, drink and entertainment were provided. My mum and I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Mum has lots of choices in the restaurant and tea and cake is always available. I am happy with all the care given to my mum.

Although the requirements to use the services of residential care home are not one to be recommended, this facility does provide a very good, safe and secure home for my mother, who is now in the latter stages of dementia.

The staff ensure she is safe, clean and secure which is all I can ask of them because my mum no longer has capacity to ask for anything herself.

My brother has sadly just passed away. The carers took turns to sit with my brother in his room. He was never on his own to his last breath taken. My brother was really happy and settled at Victoria Manor, where he was treated with dignity, the care that was shown to him was above and beyond. I haven't got the words to express my gratitude for the care and empathy shown to him. I'm very grateful to all the staff involved.

Victoria Manor Care Home is in a quiet and beautiful area. Rooms are kept clean and tidy which they should be. The dining room is ideal, being bright and spacious, allowing the residents to make friends with each other and then they generally sit together talking during the day. There are plenty of things going on to keep the residents involved, especially at the weekends. However, the one thing that stands out in the sixteen weeks that my wife has been there is that all the staff, doing a difficult job, go about their duties with a smile on their faces,

The care provided by the staff has been second to none. My mom has been provided with a safe, nurturing environment. She has been given the opportunity to socialise with others. The facilities provided have renewed her sense of dignity and her ability to keep clean and confident. The high level of attention and security provided by the entire team has put both my mom's and my family's minds at considerable ease. Food and drink available to her have exceeded our expectations. A clean, caring and supportive home.
