I feel the professional care and respect shown to my husband is exceptional. All the staff are very pleasant and show real empathy towards him and always have time for any questions or queries I may have. It is a bright, cheery, clean place and has a lovely, pleasant feel to it. The support and reassurance
given to me during such a stressful time has been amazing. It's so difficult when you have to make the decision of professional care for a loved one. Russell Court was definitely the right decision for us.

Seven weeks of loved one in here. Vile, negligible place. Residents sit in wheelchairs for 6+ hours at a time, zero movement. Not transferred to seats. Bedsore within 2 weeks. Buzzers left ringing for over 30 minutes. Nan showered once in 7 weeks. Fingernails caked in dirt. Food-splattered clothes hung
back up. Told had to wait from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm to have a wee as the staff was on handover. Poorly managed break-wise. Often no staff to be found. Drinks are provided in dirty tea-stained beakers. Residents either stay in a room on their own or sit in their wheelchairs at the dining table all day. The nice comfy lounge is never used as apparently the heating is broken. Residents in the dining area do not have carers present even during meals. There are some amazing staff. The lady who does the activities is a godsend for the residents. Two other members of staff in particular are great too. The nursing side had a lot of admin errors, serious ones - communication is lax. Overall I wouldn't even put a dog in here. Do not recommend.

I was only in Russell Court for 6 days due to a stroke which took the left side of my body but in that time the physios managed to get me out of bed and start to walk and with perseverance, I have managed to walk without any aides.
All the staff from managers, physio, medical and the main team, the
carers work so hard to make you feel at ease and look after you so well (hats off to them).
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone from Russell Court.

Having had experience of previous care homes and them not being great, I was so worried when my grandad needed rehabilitation care after breaking his leg. Within moments of walking through the door at Russell Court, I was put at ease immediately. I was met with a lovely smile and the care I was shown
was amazing. My grandad was in for a week and every member of staff I came across was so friendly, they all said hello and many asked if I knew where everything was. The care they showed for him gave him some dignity back. He was even talking about staying there permanently, I think that says it all.
The weeks leading up to his stay here were tough, what the home gave us back was being with my grandad again and enjoying his company.
Sadly he passed away but again how the staff handled this was with so much empathy and just simple kindness. I can't recommend this home enough. Thank you for making my grandad's last few days happy for him, I will be forever grateful.

After having been in hospital for some seven weeks, my mother was sent to Russell Court and immediately received the comfort care and attention she required. She had care and peace in her final days which was a relief to all her family. Our sincere thanks to everyone.

My father was in Russell Court for almost three weeks on a "step-down program".
The care he received was exemplary, all of the staff were kind, professional and happy, which was so refreshing.
Dad made fantastic progress whilst at Russell Court going from basically bedbound to being able to rise
from a chair, stand and walk with a frame. Miraculous for an 83-year-old with two forms of blood cancer, an aneurysm and suspected Parkinson's!

Asked by a relative of my friend to present a video call of my friend's sister's funeral which was being held in Nottingham. A staff member at the home was very helpful in setting up a room and large screen television for the video presentation for my friend, her twin sister and her carer plus my wife
to watch the service live. The staff member's assistance was very much appreciated by all our group at the time. Thanks for accommodating us all.

I felt my husband was well looked after. The staff were helpful, friendly and happy. They treated my husband with dignity and they were happy, smiling and good to be around.
My only disappointment was that, on a night, one of the confused residents was allowed to wander around and enter other people's
bedrooms. I did complain but apparently nothing can be done. I do feel concerned about this. I was told he was harmless but I still think it's wrong. Apart from this, I think Russell Court Care Home is a very good nursing, rehab. Physios are excellent and a lovely atmosphere.

My mom was only in Russell Court for 17 days before she passed. The staff were brilliant, hard working, friendly and even gave us drinks. We had moved Mom from a care home that had falling standards and lack of care and the difference was mind blowing. Everyone here seemed so happy, the manager was
the best I have ever seen (ex-nurse I was). My only regret is that I did not move my Mom sooner to this brilliant home.

My father-in-law was at Russell Court for the last 6 weeks of his life. I can't fault this home. Care was 100%, rooms were good. Carers went the extra mile whenever they could. I would definitely recommend it! I've worked in care and would rate this as one of the best homes I've seen.

First time experience of a nursing home. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care, support and kindness to myself and Mother. We were made the most welcome we could be. It felt like a home with activities, entertainment and overall friendliness of everyone from managers, nurses, carers, kitchen
staff, housekeeping and administration.

My mother-in-law sadly passed away in Russell Court on the 21st of May, after being a resident for almost 2 years. From the moment Mom entered her room, she had the best care from some of the kindest and friendliest nurses and carers I have seen. Mom was only there for seventeen days before she passed, but the care she had and the respect we were given during her final days will never be forgotten. I can't speak
highly enough of the team at Russell Court. Mom was on the Maple wing, but never got to experience the activities on site. In Mom's final days, we were provided with facilities to stay overnight to be with Mom. We are a big family, but nothing was too much trouble for the team and we were made to feel special, as much as Mom was.

Hello, I am Kiran Qayum. I am the Service Provider of Russell Court Nursing Home. I am an Adult Nurse and have been working in the care sector since the age of 18. I have been the Service Provider of the home since we opened in 2020 - I am so proud to be part of the team here. At the start of my nursing journey, I worked in busy wards at a big, local hospital - moving to Russell Court has allowed me to get to know our residents and spend time with each and every one. My passion is to provide tailored, personalised care for every resident at Russell Court. I joined Russell Court nursing home in September 2022 as a registered nurse.


I am responsible for the care of elderly residents who require long-term care and support. This environment presented different challenges, as many residents had chronic health conditions, and required specialised knowledge and training.
