Overall Experience

My mom was only in Russell Court for 17 days before she passed. The staff were brilliant, hard working, friendly and even gave us drinks. We had moved Mom from a care home that had falling standards and lack of care and the difference was mind blowing. Everyone here seemed so happy, the manager was the best I have ever seen (ex-nurse I was). My only regret is that I did not move my Mom sooner to this brilliant home.

My father-in-law was at Russell Court for the last 6 weeks of his life. I can't fault this home. Care was 100%, rooms were good. Carers went the extra mile whenever they could. I would definitely recommend it! I've worked in care and would rate this as one of the best homes I've seen.

First time experience of a nursing home. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care, support and kindness to myself and Mother. We were made the most welcome we could be. It felt like a home with activities, entertainment and overall friendliness of everyone from managers, nurses, carers, kitchen staff, housekeeping and administration.

Sad Mom had to leave.

My mother-in-law sadly passed away in Russell Court on the 21st of May, after being a resident for almost 2 years. The care she received from the beginning of her stay to the very end could not have been better. The staff all treated her with the utmost care and love and for that, we are very grateful.

Overall Experience

From the moment Mom entered her room, she had the best care from some of the kindest and friendliest nurses and carers I have seen. Mom was only there for seventeen days before she passed, but the care she had and the respect we were given during her final days will never be forgotten. I can't speak highly enough of the team at Russell Court. Mom was on the Maple wing, but never got to experience the activities on site. In Mom's final days, we were provided with facilities to stay overnight to be with Mom. We are a big family, but nothing was too much trouble for the team and we were made to feel special, as much as Mom was.

The Russell Court team would like to thank you for your positive review for our home. While at Russell Court he was treated with first-class care, all staff were helpful, caring, kind and showed love and understanding.
Always greeted with a smile and a cheerful greeting. My brother has now been moved to another care home not by choice or need.

My brother and family are very upset that he has been moved.

Reply from Debi Rogers, Home Manager at Russell Court

Russell Court is very impressive, very warm and comfortable. Food is very good with plenty of variety of choice. Plenty of tea on tap, which suits my mother-in-lw very well. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The home is very modern and well-equipped. I have visited four care homes over the last few years and Russell Court is by far the best.

My father-in-law was extremely happy in the two years plus that he resided at Russell Court. The staff always treated him with dignity and were happy to carry out his many requests. All the staff are friendly and very caring when dealing with their residents and my father-in-law spoke fondly of them. At his end of life, the staff were extremely caring towards my father-in-law and in their dealings with his family. We can't thank them enough for the care they gave him.

My father was a resident for over two years. Each time I visited Russell Court I was impressed by the friendly, helpful carers and professionalism of all the staff. They often went above and beyond what I would have expected. The room was always clean and tidy. All public areas were also clean, tidy and well-presented. There was always a cheery greeting. Management did a wonderful job to keep us fully informed of my father's well-being.

Mom had been in the home well over 12 months. The care she received was excellent from the staff including the management. The home is clean, modern and well maintained with excellent security. Her room was bright and warm with an ensuite bathroom. Room was always kept clean. Visiting was allowed at any time. Mom was well looked after and always had clean nightwear and blankets.
