Although still not able to enter the main building it always appears clean and neat. Staff are friendly and willing to talk and answer our questions. Although due to her dementia we are not able to converse with her, she appears comfortable and cared for.

Staff were very helpful to my husband and myself. If I had concerns about my husband's physical or mental health they always gave me the time to discuss things. My husband could be difficult at times due to his dementia but the manager and other staff had the knack of how to handle him and even make
him laugh. They are very professional and have even given me support since my husband's death. Caldene Rest Home is to be highly recommended!

My mum was very well looked after by all the staff which include kitchen, domestics, health care assistants and nursing staff.
Mum was not always the easiest of patients to care for but they all knew her wants and needs. Mum was happy and contented. Mum loved listening and dancing to the music and
singers. All the staff catered for all of her needs.
As family members, we were always made to feel welcome and at home. They always shared their concerns regarding Mum and during her final days and hours, she was looked after with reverence and dignity, for which we will be forever grateful.

As I live some distance from my aunt and her only sister is in poor health, all the care falls fully on the staff at Caldene Rest Home. The staff are always available to talk to me and are prompt to advise on any issues arising. We appreciate their work at a very testing time.

During lockdown we have been unable to observe the interior of the home. However, the operations have seemed to be perfectly satisfactory. We have had no problems thus far. The following ratings are only for what we have been able to observe.

Caldene Rest Home has cared for my great-uncle for over a year now; he’s always clean, well-fed and safe. He can at times be challenging due to dementia, but the care staff are more than capable of coping.
The home provides a comfortable stay for him with excellent standards of food and hygiene.

Excellent care home and facilities. Staff are always approachable and helpful. Feel content that Dad is receiving the level of care required and in the best hands possible. Dad always looks clean and has clean clothes. Residents are encouraged where appropriate to partake in activities which enables

I cannot recommend highly enough the care my mother has received while being a resident at Caldene Rest Home.
Everyone of the staff have gone above and beyond my expectations.
Living in Australia and being an only child, my mom's safety, security and well being was my utmost concern living so far
away.
Visiting the UK every year and visiting Caldene daily showed me the level of care residents receive.
I leave the country knowing my mom is in good and caring hands.

Job Title: Home manager Joined: 2023

I began my career in healthcare working my way up from a care assistant to senior carer and then deputy manager, developing strong skills in hands-on care as well as day-to-day service management and quality monitoring. This progression gave me a solid foundation in both frontline care and leadership. In February 2023, I became a registered manager at Caldene Rest Home. I hold an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care and have recently started a nursing degree at the University of Wolverhampton, continuing my commitment to learning and professional development.


I have always been passionate about supporting people and making a meaningful difference in their lives. What I enjoy most about my role is developing my team and continuously improving the quality of care we provide, knowing that this has a direct and positive impact on residents’ wellbeing and day-to-day experiences.


My key strengths include leadership, quality improvement, and building strong, trusting relationships with staff, residents, and families. I am committed to maintaining high standards and always looking for ways to move the quality of service forward, ensuring care remains safe, effective, and person-centred.


My approach is based on openness, communication, and teamwork. I operate an open-door policy and aim to be approachable and supportive to both staff and families. I focus on creating a positive, collaborative environment where person-centred care is delivered consistently, while also encouraging ongoing improvements across the home.
