I have found the staff, from the excellent management team,to everyone else employed here,to be conscientious, caring, extremely pleasant and companionable, and diligent in all matters. The standards of room, cleanliness, and comfort are high, the food of good quality, and the environment safe and secure. Responsibilities
for the residents are taken very seriously,as one might expect, and personally I've experienced nothing but a full commitment to the well being of the residents by all employed here. The management select their staff exceptionally well (and most seem content to remain for years, testimony to how well run Dingle Meadow is).

Having looked at a few care homes within this area, together with CQC inspection reports, it was decided between myself and brother that Dingle Meadow seemed a very friendly and homely care home you would want your relative to stay at.
Our dad has been a resident at Dingle Meadow since April 2025,
and is very happy and settled. From the moment dad moved, the staff were so welcoming, making him feel at home. Every member of staff are professional and deliver high standards of care. They are so supportive, caring and show empathy at sometimes very difficult times. They have entertainment in the day and evenings and encourage residents to get involved if they wish. I cannot thank the staff enough for what they do, I feel that dad is in very good hands and cared for.

I can highly recommend Dingle Meadow for anyone who is looking for a excellent care home.

This is the 4th year that my mum has gone into Dingle Meadow for respite. The very first time that I visited, I immediately felt a warm feeling surrounding the residents and staff. Everyone was so kind and helpful and I was put at ease. It's clean, doesn't smell and is bright and cheerful. I am more
than happy to leave my mum there and walk away knowing that she will be cared for and looked after. A massive thank you and appreciation to all the staff.

Dingle Meadow firstly put me at ease when my mom was taken into the home. The staff instantly went above and beyond to make the transition go easily + smoothly for mom and the family. The staff are genuinely caring compassionate understanding kind but remaining professional. Dingle Meadow is a very
happy place. There is always a welcome for visitors I truly feel we are blessed as a family to have found this gem of a care home.

Dingle Meadow has provided excellent care for my loved one. The staff are kind, professional and truly attentive to individual needs. The environment is clean, peaceful and well-maintained, creating a sense of comfort and safety. The meals are nutritious and tailored to individual dietary needs, with
consideration for personal preferences. Communication with families is clean and consistent, which is incredibly reassuring. It is evident that the team is dedicated. I would recommend Dingle Meadow to anyone looking for a caring and professional environment for their loved one.

Cannot speak highly enough of this care home. My mom has been there a number of years and she always seems content and happy. The staff are wonderful and always treat mom with dignity, patience and care. It has a very homely feel, mom always comments on how good the food is and they have made some real
improvements such as redecorating the communal areas etc. Frequent relatives meetings take place where all heads of departments are present and more than happy to receive feedback. I also receive regular communication when necessary. Thank you for everything you do.

Fully focused on resident care.
Always willing to listen to both residents and family concerns and ideas.
A full range of activities for residents.
Staff at all levels from Manager to cleaner are always willing to talk.
The facilities are clean and do not smell - bright and airy.
The food options
are varied and healthy - my mother in law loves them.
Medical care is good.
Staff turnover is low so the residents get to know the staff and the staff get to know the needs of the residents. They know them as individuals.
I would happily recommend Dingle Meadow.

My overall experience with the home is satisfactory to good. This can be dependant on which staff are on. Some staff go above and beyond and others do not so. Some pay attention to detail and provide support and action, and others tend to brush you off. The home is clean, the staff are friendly, good
choice of food. Don't seem to notice many activities for residents. Another home I looked at had daily activities.

My mother was a resident at Dingle Meadow from November 2016 until her demise in January 2024. Throughout her stay, she was treated with care, patience kindness and good humour even when her behaviour was extremely challenging. The staff supported not just my mother but also her family members at the
most difficult of times. Thank you Dingle Meadow.

Unfortunately, this will be my last review of such a wonderful Care Home Dingle Meadow. My mum passed away at the end of March with caring staff at her side, love and dignity given throughout her last hours.
In fact, Mum's stay with Dingle Meadow could never be faulted by myself or my family we could
visit anytime and never found anything to complain about just made so welcome. Dingle Meadow had been Mum's home for over five years without their care she would not have survived until almost 99 years, so I really hope other families will visit and chat with all members of staff including residents and realise what a very special place this is.

My father was a resident in a temporary enhanced assessment bed between November to December. He was on a dementia wing for this assessment but also had several medical ailments including lung cancer as a primary diagnosis I would like to highly commend the care he received during his relatively short
stay with the team. I would have no hesitation in placing any other relative for care. The whole team demonstrated compassion, kindness and care as well as expert knowledge. It was with regret Dad could not see his days out with you. Thank you.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.643)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.643) out of 10 for Dingle Meadow Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.768 for Dingle Meadow Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (153 Excellents x 5) + (31 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 190 Ratings = 4.768
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Dingle Meadow Care Home is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 registered maximum number of service users is 9.2, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

Through the 15 years I have been working at Dingle Meadow Care Home, I realised that kind care is not about ticking boxes—it’s about the small, human moments that make life meaningful. I understood that kind care is about presence. It’s about being there, quietly, when someone needs reassurance.

Kind care is woven into everyday life here. It’s in the way a carer remembers how someone likes their tea, or how staff pause to listen to a story they’ve heard a dozen times before, because they know it matters to the person telling it. It’s in the laughter that fills the lounge, the gentle patience during difficult days, and the respect shown in every interaction.
For me, kind care is not just a practice—it’s a culture. It’s the belief that every resident deserves dignity, compassion, and a sense of belonging. As a manager, my greatest responsibility is to nurture that culture, so that every member of the team understands that care is not only about meeting needs, but about touching lives.

Kind care is the difference between a house and a home. And every day, I feel privileged to help make this place a home filled with warmth, respect, and humanity.
