This will be the third time my sister has stayed at Dingle Meadow for respite and has always enjoyed her stay. The staff are caring and interact with her. She lives independently with carers 4 times a day. When she's with other people she is more motivated.

In February 2018 I stayed here at Dingle Meadow Care Home. I was looked after very well. Staff were all very kind and caring. Meals were always very satisfactory, enjoyed most of my food. Always felt very safe and cared for. Staff always very polite. This is the reason I returned. I knew I would be looked after.

Although my mother in law was a resident for a short time before she passed away we were very happy with the care she received. It's a lovely home, the staff so friendly, nothing too much trouble. She had a nice room and we had peace of mind while she was there. Safety and security excellent, codes to get in and out and to use lift/stairs. So thank you to everyone at Dingle Meadow.

I visited the home for the first time in two years as a member of my church is there for respite care. The home welcome I received was excellent. There were plenty of visible staff who were friendly, helpful and displayed a positive professional but still personalised service to the lady’s I was visiting. I walked with my resident to her room and found the lounge, corridor, lift and her room spotless and odour free. There was plenty of interaction between residents and staff members and my resident said: “It’s lovely here, the staff are very friendly and I feel safe”. I left feeling content knowing that my resident was happy. Well done to all at Dingle Meadow.

All seems OK. My dad looked after and now seems a bit more content. Doesn't always look as though there are many staff available.

Thank you for your feedback which we have now had a chance to discuss and concluded that when you usually visit around 11.00 am, staff are starting their breaks. They don’t go together, however one at a time for 20 minutes each. I have spoken with the senior team to make sure that they are more...

We are pleased overall. The home is clean and comfortable. Our aunty is quite happy there. There could be more outings once a week perhaps to the shops - how boring being stuck inside week after week. More entertainment, choir visits from schools, pet visits? Occasionally some carers treat her without respect but most are lovely. Food could be more colourful.

Reply from Clare Sheehan, Care Advisor at Dingle Meadow Care Home

Following a meeting with the family concerned they are very happy with the home overall and commented on the many improvements that had been made since their family member has been staying at the home. The comment regarding 'some carers do not treat her aunt with respect' was a reference to one...

My dad suffers from dementia.
Both my parents went into Dingle Meadow Care Home together in 2015. My mother died in 2016 and my dad is still there.

He has settled well and all the staff are very good to him. He always smiles at them and they always have a smile for him. He has been in hospital three times since Christmas with sepsis and pneumonia. He is 92 and a half years old and they do keep an eye on him. I can honestly say that all the staff are caring and helpful also in the kitchen.

The first impression was quite good but quickly came to realise that ultimate aim, as with most care homes, is to make as much money from self-funders to subsidise council-paid residents. The company didn't staff adequately; either with the quantity of staff and sometimes the quality. Experienced a couple of incidents with mistakes administering meds, which would not happen if a "real" wage was paid. Glossy brochure showing beautifully presented, quality meals wasn't the reality. Changing water jug in room daily seemed to present a problem too.

Meet the Team (1)

Samera Musa
Samera MusaJob Title:Home Manager

Through the 15 years I have been working at Dingle Meadow Care Home, I realised that kind care is not about ticking boxes—it’s about the small, human moments that make life meaningful. I understood that kind care is about presence. It’s about being there, quietly, when someone needs reassurance.

Kind care is woven into everyday life here. It’s in the way a carer remembers how someone likes their tea, or how staff pause to listen to a story they’ve heard a dozen times before, because they know it matters to the person telling it. It’s in the laughter that fills the lounge, the gentle patience during difficult days, and the respect shown in every interaction.

For me, kind care is not just a practice—it’s a culture. It’s the belief that every resident deserves dignity, compassion, and a sense of belonging. As a manager, my greatest responsibility is to nurture that culture, so that every member of the team understands that care is not only about meeting needs, but about touching lives.

Kind care is the difference between a house and a home. And every day, I feel privileged to help make this place a home filled with warmth, respect, and humanity.
