Mom has been a resident at Dingle Meadow since December 2019. She is well cared for and all the staff is excellent. Dingle Meadow is spotlessly clean and fresh. This was the home of choice and we had to wait a short while until a room became available, but we knew that it was worth waiting for. Mom
couldn't be in better care. She is safe and secure.

Excellent social care and interaction with residents today. All residents socialising together, laughing, joking turn-taking. It was a pleasure to see.
Couldn't fault anything. Keep up the good work.

Our experience so far has been very good. The home is well run and the carers are very attentive. The room allocated was decorated and furnished to a good standard and the recent decoration of the first floor has made the surrounding consistent with the showroom first seen. Communication regarding my
father's care has been very good throughout his time at Dingle Meadow.

I cannot thank all the staff and carers enough for the way they looked after my mom. 6 years she was in their care right up until her death in September. Every time I visited, I was greeted with smiles and warm wishes like it was one big family. Every carer there was an angel to her. The love, care,
attention and affection was outstanding, the place and people will always get my highest recommendation. Thank you.

During the three years that my mother has lived here, she has been contented, very well cared for with all her needs (which have increased to a great degree now) and treated with much kindness and respect. The staff are very caring and kind to the residents and I am very grateful to them. The home itself
is very well run, with lots of activities in place. Very organised and always clean and inviting. My Mom has been happy here.

Since I have been a resident at Dingle Meadow Care Home I have been looked after very well. I cannot find fault of any kind as all the nurses and carers look after me very well, no faults there. Also, the food that they serve me is very, very good. In all at the present, I am quite happy living here.

My mam has been a resident since July 2018. To say she loves her room, new friends, the food choices, daily activities and staff would be an understatement. She is so happy.
As a daughter that lives overseas, I look forward to long visits at the home where the staff make me feel just as welcome.

This will be the third time my sister has stayed at Dingle Meadow for respite and has always enjoyed her stay. The staff are caring and interact with her. She lives independently with carers 4 times a day. When she's with other people she is more motivated.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.643)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.643) out of 10 for Dingle Meadow Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.768 for Dingle Meadow Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (153 Excellents x 5) + (31 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 190 Ratings = 4.768
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Dingle Meadow Care Home is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 registered maximum number of service users is 9.2, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

Through the 15 years I have been working at Dingle Meadow Care Home, I realised that kind care is not about ticking boxes—it’s about the small, human moments that make life meaningful. I understood that kind care is about presence. It’s about being there, quietly, when someone needs reassurance.

Kind care is woven into everyday life here. It’s in the way a carer remembers how someone likes their tea, or how staff pause to listen to a story they’ve heard a dozen times before, because they know it matters to the person telling it. It’s in the laughter that fills the lounge, the gentle patience during difficult days, and the respect shown in every interaction.
For me, kind care is not just a practice—it’s a culture. It’s the belief that every resident deserves dignity, compassion, and a sense of belonging. As a manager, my greatest responsibility is to nurture that culture, so that every member of the team understands that care is not only about meeting needs, but about touching lives.

Kind care is the difference between a house and a home. And every day, I feel privileged to help make this place a home filled with warmth, respect, and humanity.
