A relaxed and friendly home, Ryland View offers numerous forms of care provision, including nursing care, nursing dementia care and respite care. Other care includes expertise in young physically disabled care, as well as Huntingdon’s and Parkinson’s.

The home has been designed to suit the lifestyles of both older and younger residents, consisting of five separate houses, homely furnishings, bright and airy conservatories, a reminiscence room and landscaped gardens.

Individual tastes are accounted for at mealtimes through balanced and nutritious dishes, with hot and cold choices always available.

Many group activities are arranged to support physical and emotional health, while residents have personal interests and hobbies supported. Pub lunches and nature trail walks are popular additions, as are visiting entertainers.

The love and care of the staff towards the residents is of the highest quality and standards. The staff relationships with residents are just the best. Management and staff are attentive to the needs of the family too, supporting the relatives in the roller coaster of end of life pathway.


My dad

was in Ryland View 20 years ago and it is still as good today.

First experience of a nursing home and was exceptionally disappointed. After 3 weeks my mother had not had a shower without my insistence (other residents benefited from a new regime put in place). Very few cooked meals on offer and nothing catering for ethnic minorities - the family cooked meals every
day. Not a very stimulating environment where stimulation required. An employee having a dog frequently in the home is unhygienic and the local stray cat. Many of the staff are friendly and polite.

I took my aunt into Ryland View for a short stay due to her having a fall which caused her to break her wrist. We were made very welcome with the warmth of the staff. Full marks to them on all shifts, it was spotless. I would stay there myself, I could not fault it.

I cannot praise the management enough, nursing staff, carers and all assistance for the outstanding love and dignity shown to my sister over the last six weeks at Manby House.
They treated us, her family, with the same love and respect during our time at the home. I would wholeheartedly recommend

The care at Manby House in Ryland View of my mother was exceptional. They treated Mom respectfully and cared for all needs. Mom came to Ryland View only 6 stone 7oz, she is now 8 and a half stone.

I can't thank staff enough for their day to day care and attention given to my mum. Nursing care isn't needed by Mum so she is moving to alternative accommodation.
We have been more than pleased with every aspect of provision.

Very excellent home, very nice people - staff and residents. I've got other friends in this complex and would recommend this home.
We had an anniversary party there for my friend. All family and friends attended the disco and karaoke. Staff and residents had a nice time.

I can honestly say that my brother was treated with outstanding care and dignity during his stay. He was terminally ill and there for end of life care. I cannot praise the staff and management highly enough. They were so friendly and polite at all times. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them.
Sadly my brother died of his illness but this was handled brilliantly by all of the staff and he died peacefully in no pain.
There truly are no adequate words that could convey my deepest admiration and heartfelt gratitude.

My dad was only there for four days before he, unfortunately, passed away but in that time all the staff were brilliant, helpful and caring.
My dad spent his last few days believing he was in a swanky hotel (his words).

Excellent care from a very committed team, they make family especially my father feel welcome too when visiting.
My mother has improved in her wellbeing since moving here she has put on weight and appears happier and more settled. The team understands needs of dementia residents.

My mother was in Heronville House for a few months, she was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. I visited her every day and found the staff to be very attentive and welcoming. I was made to feel welcome and was involved in all aspects of mum's care. There were activities which she was involved
in, days out were planned, she used the hairdressers fortnightly, aromatherapy weekly and chiropodist. The carers and nurses were approachable at all times even when busy, nothing was too much trouble. If you have someone with dementia I would highly recommend this nursing home, I myself held out to get mum a placement here and I couldn't have been happier with her being here.

My mother had a period of respite at Ryland View, all the staff were amazing with my mom. She was treated with respect and dignity and above all patience, even when they were extremely busy as they were very hard working. My mother said she could only find two faults, 1/ there were no permanent beds
for residential care. 2/ never any vinegar!! She did not want to leave, so a big thank you for making the transition from her own flat to residential. The family are very grateful for your kind hospitality.

Haines House which is part of Ryland View has cared for my-sister-in-law for the last five years. The care has been first class. When the needed hospital care has been arranged. My sister-in-law is kept clean and fed to a very high standard as is her private room.

I was recommended by a friend to Bloomfield Unit at Ryland View Care Home and can see why. I have complete confidence in the staff and cannot praise them enough for the way they look after my Mom, kind, courteous, understanding and also supportive to me too, when I have any worries. Some of the staff
have been there over twenty years which shows dedication and proves that it isn't just a job to them, they genuinely care about the residents. I live quite a distance from the home but am kept informed at all times with anything that concerns Mom.

My mum was a temporary resident there whilst waiting for a permanent nursing home. She was looked after and treated with care, respect and dignity.
While residing in there, she developed a urine infection and was treated promptly, before it got hold of her.
Cannot fault anything about this house
in any way, shape or form, from the caring and friendly staff to management, who were very helpful with anything we asked of them, to the cleanliness of the home and facilities.
Overall we would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.

I’ve been dedicated to the Health and Social Care sector since 2006, before which, I was a software developer and Technical Author. As a Registered Manager, I’ve worked closely with staff at all levels across different care homes, from small start-up companies to large national providers; my hands-on experience has shaped my approach to care and management, ensuring compliance with regulations, fostering high-quality care, and leading dedicated teams.


I also hold a BSc(Hons) in Computer Science, enabling me to leverage technology to enhance operational efficiency and improve care quality at Ryland View. I’m committed to professional development and strive to deliver exceptional care and support to those I serve.

Hi, my name is Sarah Gillies. I joined Ryland View in 2013 as a Housekeeping Assistant, and after 10 wonderful years in that role, I was delighted to take the opportunity to join the Wellbeing team.


I’ve always loved interacting with our residents and their families — seeing them happy and smiling makes my job truly worthwhile. I’m naturally a bubbly and outgoing person, and I bring that energy into everything I do. Whether it’s a lively group session or a one-to-one activity, my goal is always to make our residents feel engaged and uplifted.


One of our favourite activities here at Ryland View is enjoying live singing entertainers — everyone loves to sing and dance along! We’ve also recently opened our B Happie Café, where residents and relatives can relax, chat, and enjoy a coffee together in a lovely social space.


Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going out for meals, reading, and walking my dog, Cara.
