My mother has been cared for here many years now, and the staff have done a great job looking after my mom. We decided to keep her there as to end of life, only funding was a problem. However, this is not the care homes fault. In fact, they appealed for us, but I would recommend for anyone wishing to stay in this home!

Very good, they notify us of any changes to my brother. Always polite and very helpful during these difficult times with Covid. Very informative by letter regarding what is going on in Ryland View.

Although it has been so difficult for us, as a family, not being able to visit our loved ones due to these unprecedented times, it's been reassuring to know that the staff of Heronville House have been doing a wonderful job, introducing meaningful activities and now, video calls. The staff have always shown humility, compassion and understanding, which is so reassuring to know our loved ones are receiving the best possible care.

Our mam is a resident in Heronville House at Ryland View care home. She gets fantastic care and support from all the staff. They keep us up to date with her health and well being and keep her busy and happy with plenty of activities to do. There is always a lovely welcome from the staff when we visit. A lovely, homely place.

When she arrived at Manby House at Ryland View, mam was at a very low ebb following prolonged hospital stays after two painful falls in a short period of time. The care she received was instrumental in enabling us to see "our mam" come back again. Her medical, social and psychological needs were skillfully and cheerfully met by the manager and the amazing staff. Mam was cared for, befriended and encouraged to be as independent as she was able to be. Manby House - a hard act to follow. Thank you all!

Experience of Ryland View was brilliant, unit manager was working all hours above and beyond her duties. Always tea/coffee and biscuits for visitors. Very well decorated, room very nice, carers excellent. My mom had Parkinson's and manager made sure she was given medication on time, which is a must with Parkinson's patients, better than they gave her in hospital. A very clean and tidy home. My mom went on to go to another Unit - what a difference. Sadly mom died in March 2020.

My friend came out of hospital and came to your lovely care home and was with you for two weeks. The wonderful care you gave her I will never forget and will always be grateful to you. I was hoping she would be able to stay with you permanently but unfortunately passed away 28th February 2020. I would highly recommend Ryland View!

Every time I go to see the care home, nothing seems to much trouble for the staff. Alway's greeted with a smile and hello; then they always tell me about Mom's well being. Alway's clean and plenty of activities going on.

I found Ryland View to be better than I could ever hope for. It was a pleasant experience from when my husband was first admitted.

The staff were very caring and considerate on every aspect of how my husband was treated. Excellent management nurses and carers. All I can say is well done, well done, well done.

Whilst in care, mom received excellent treatment. The Manby Centre was very well run and manned by very attentive and caring staff. Mom was made to feel cared for and valued by the staff. Personal care was extremely good. The centre was always clean and tidy and mom's room was also clean and tidy. The food was of a good standard, good and varied choices. All in all, mom enjoyed a very pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this home to anybody.

I can only comment on Manby Unit. Father received kind, caring and thorough treatment from carers and nurses. Dad settled very quickly due to the kindness of wonderful staff and the experienced manager. We are grateful.

The love and care of the staff towards the residents is of the highest quality and standards. The staff relationships with residents are just the best. Management and staff are attentive to the needs of the family too, supporting the relatives in the roller coaster of end of life pathway.

My dad was in Ryland View 20 years ago and it is still as good today.

First experience of a nursing home and was exceptionally disappointed. After 3 weeks my mother had not had a shower without my insistence (other residents benefited from a new regime put in place). Very few cooked meals on offer and nothing catering for ethnic minorities - the family cooked meals every day. Not a very stimulating environment where stimulation required. An employee having a dog frequently in the home is unhygienic and the local stray cat. Many of the staff are friendly and polite.

I took my aunt into Ryland View for a short stay due to her having a fall which caused her to break her wrist. We were made very welcome with the warmth of the staff. Full marks to them on all shifts, it was spotless. I would stay there myself, I could not fault it.

I cannot praise the management enough, nursing staff, carers and all assistance for the outstanding love and dignity shown to my sister over the last six weeks at Manby House.

They treated us, her family, with the same love and respect during our time at the home. I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home. God bless you all.

The care at Manby House in Ryland View of my mother was exceptional. They treated Mom respectfully and cared for all needs. Mom came to Ryland View only 6 stone 7oz, she is now 8 and a half stone.

I can't thank staff enough for their day to day care and attention given to my mum. Nursing care isn't needed by Mum so she is moving to alternative accommodation.
We have been more than pleased with every aspect of provision.
Thank you.

I can honestly say that my brother was treated with outstanding care and dignity during his stay. He was terminally ill and there for end of life care. I cannot praise the staff and management highly enough. They were so friendly and polite at all times. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. Sadly my brother died of his illness but this was handled brilliantly by all of the staff and he died peacefully in no pain.

There truly are no adequate words that could convey my deepest admiration and heartfelt gratitude.

Hi, my name is Sarah Gillies. I joined Ryland View in 2013 as a Housekeeping Assistant, and after 10 wonderful years in that role, I was delighted to take the opportunity to join the Wellbeing team.

I’ve always loved interacting with our residents and their families — seeing them happy and smiling makes my job truly worthwhile. I’m naturally a bubbly and outgoing person, and I bring that energy into everything I do. Whether it’s a lively group session or a one-to-one activity, my goal is always to make our residents feel engaged and uplifted.

One of our favourite activities here at Ryland View is enjoying live singing entertainers — everyone loves to sing and dance along! We’ve also recently opened our B Happie Café, where residents and relatives can relax, chat, and enjoy a coffee together in a lovely social space.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going out for meals, reading, and walking my dog, Cara.
