The Croft is a CQC-rated ‘Outstanding’ (March 2020) care home in Wolverhampton that provides round-the-clock residential care for older people, through dedicated staff who understand how worrying it can be to ensure your loved one is well taken care of.

As soon as they arrive, your loved one will become part of the family and a member of the friendly group of residents that staff care for.

They will receive constant care and attention, support and companionship whilst catering for their every need and personal tastes. It doesn't matter whether you're funded privately or by social services, you'll be welcome here.

The worry that your loved one may have little quality of life will no longer be a concern. At The Croft there’s always something to join in with or someone to chat to. Even if mobility is an issue, no one is ever stuck in their room, because a new lease of life beckons! There’ll always be a member of staff ready and willing to lend a supportive hand.

My dad is being very well cared for by the staff, they are all very kind and approachable. The food is excellent, since my dad has been here his health has improved dramatically. It was easily arrange for my dad to come here and short notice for respite.

The Croft provides excellent care for my Father. The staff are always busy but responsive to residents and relatives.
In my opinion, we are very lucky to have found such a fabulous home. My Father is very happy here as he is always stimulated by the varied programme of activities provided (something
different every day).
The staff takes care to learn about the interests of residents and tailor care and activities accordingly.

The Croft is a comfortable and cosy care home. The rooms are warm and homely and are decorated perfectly for the residents. The staff are always friendly and helpful. My mother is given a soft diet and the meals I have seen for the residents look fairly good.

The staff at The Croft are pleasant and welcoming. The care workers I encounter on visits to my aunt are patient and caring. The standard of my aunt's room is barely satisfactory by modern-day expectations, especially when her fees are taken into account. The food is good and the home is very clean.
My aunt is very independent and doesn't require the level of care other residents receive but it frustrates her not knowing whether her fees are fair.

My elderly (94-year-old) aunt has been in The Croft for a few months and I am very pleased with the care and support she is receiving. The home has all the necessary facilities, is well run and the staff are wonderful. Moving into the home has been a difficult transition for my (widowed) aunt who had
been living independently in her own home for the past 30 years. However, she is happy in her new surroundings and full of praise for how she's being cared for, which is what matters, most to her family and friends. Thank you!

The best asset of The Croft is the staff who are always kind and treat my mum with care and dignity. The food is always of high quality and my mum really enjoys it. Rooms are always clean and looked after, the cleaning staff are excellent, especially one in particular. There is a great variety of activities
that she could participate in. The events such as the Summer Fayre are always very good and well organised.

The staff members at Croft are so warm and welcoming. The manager is amazing every step of the way she is always available reassuring and very warm. The home itself is beautiful its got a very homely feel to it. My grandmother always enjoys the activities that are put on regularly. The meals offered
are always fresh and if my grandmother doesn't want to eat what is available an alternative is made. My grandmother always looks happy, clean and fresh. When we visit she always speaks highly of the staff.

I feel that my room needs updating (curtains particularly). I am happy living at the Croft - carers are kind and friendly but sometimes the constant change of staff is a concern.l

I have found that staff are very friendly and accommodating, although they are very busy and sometimes things don't get done when promised. Mum is generally looked after well and her specific needs are looked after. In my experience, the home is a good place to be.

My father has been a resident at The Croft since 2016. He has always been treated with dignity and respect by the excellent staff. As a family, we have always been contacted by The Croft if any issues arise regarding my father's care so we are always confident that he is very well cared for.

Staff are very friendly, helpful and caring. (All staff including management). Home we feel needs updating and money spending on it (especially the resident's rooms). The garden is nice but needs attention to detail, i.e. weeds.
The entertainment team is very good, communication is very good. The
social media page is excellent. Very homely feel and residents seem happy.

My Mother has been a resident at The Croft since October 2021. The day we arrived with Mum I was expecting to be greeted by a Manager to welcome Mum. I felt we were very much left to our own devices. Mum felt very vulnerable. Eventually mum settled. The staff have always been caring, pleasant and respectful,
the staff know Mum very well. Mum enjoys having the hairdresser. I appreciate the phone calls when there are any changes in Mum's medication or health. Mum's room is always clean and tidy, and the laundry is done so quickly. Mum always looks clean and fresh. There is a lovely homely feeling as you enter The Croft. The activities that are on offer are a great way of keeping Mum active and stimulated. Mum has a variety of foods which she enjoys. On my visits staff always welcome me by name and I see how caring they are towards all residents. I am very happy that Mum is in good hands.

Excellent staff, always caring and helpful. Warm friendly atmosphere and homely. Building is a little tired in places and could do with a lick of paint and whilst there is some updating progress on this is slow. I understand the food is reasonable. There’s a mix of medical conditions so conversations
with others can be limited in our experience. Overall the home is comfortable, warm and friendly and the staff are excellent.

My mother has been well looked after since moving to The Croft at the end of August 2020. Firstly, let me say that it is difficult to gain a true impression of the home against all the restrictions of Covid. I do feel that the staff have done their best under extreme circumstances, but I would have
liked more communication from the home/owner during the lockdown. Regular emails would not have been difficult. There have been many inconsistancies in information regarding testing and rules, depending on whom one speaks to. I feel better training is needed in this. A broken window in my mother's room remains unrepaired since she moved into the room several months ago.

I base my opinion on what I have experienced. Due to corona lockdown, I have only seen external areas and visiting rooms. I find these areas very pleasant, I would say they are safe and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My sister has been here around nine months now and I would say her wellbeing
has improved greatly. Now the lockdown is over, I am hopeful that things will get even better.

My dad came into the care home in March 2019. We had already checked out other care homes and The Croft was superior in all aspects. We likened The Croft to a hotel with its finishes and general maintenance. The care my father receives is second to none and the staff have all gone out of their way to
ensure he is looked after and gets all his needs, relating to medication and meals etc. We could not rate this home any higher.
