As someone whose father has dementia, you often worry that other people do not understand the nuance of the disease and how this can manifest itself in agitation and discontent. At Waterside House, the carers are experts in dementia care. We cannot thank them enough for taking such fantastic care of Dad while he was in respite there. Waterside House is a wonderful place. I am always very impressed by the loving care, not just between carers and residents but also between residents and residents and carers and carers. The carers do as much as they possibly can to accommodate the wishes of the residents, their family and their friends. You are always made to feel welcome, whether you have gone to visit or are speaking on the phone. The way they have dealt with the pandemic has been heroic, remaining cheerful and friendly throughout.
