From the very first visit to Waterside House, I knew that my Mom would be happy there and that myself and our family would have peace of mind with Waterside House being Mom's new home. The amazing care, support and compassion that all the staff show towards my Mom and to all of her family is second to none. I have witnessed all residents being treated equally and fairly at all times whilst visiting. There is always some activity or some sort of entertainment going on at Waterside House to suit everyone, including Sunday services. Waterside House is an extraordinarily clean and contemporary accommodation with lovely gardens and in a quiet location. I always find Mom and other residents very clean and well kept. I can't speak highly enough of Waterside House, its carers and its ethos.
Many thanks for your kind words and review. The team have worked really hard to keep everyone safe and well and they will be really happy to hear your feedback.
During the short time, he spent at Waterside he could not have had better care. He was always saying how safe he felt and how kind everyone was.
In his last few days, the staff and Vicar went over and above to ensure his end of life plan was just right whilst never forgetting how we his children were feeling.
I couldn't have asked for anything better for Dad and would highly recommend MHA Waterside House to anyone who wants care for their loved one which is second to none.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was our pleasure and privilege to care for Dad, also to get to know yourself. My door is always open for a chat.
They have a very motivated pastor and activities team who provide activities and fun sessions for the residents, posting regular updates and photos on FaceBook and good communication.
The care home is more than fit for purpose, clean, spacious rooms with beautiful outdoor space and gardens. A lovely care home.
Thank you for your kind words. I am very proud of my team at Waterside, and it’s a pleasure to care for your mum. It’s been a pleasure to get to know you as a family; my door is always open.
I am very impressed by the high level of care provided. The family have never had any cause for concern. I would recommend Waterside House wholeheartedly. Wonderful, caring staff.
Thank you for your lovely review and kind words; it is our pleasure and privilege to look after your loved one.
My impression of the name of 'Waterside House' will be foremost in my mind after the care taken of my wife during her stay. She could not have had any better care. She was respected by all the staff and I felt that she was 'part and parcel' of the home. From the manager throughout, the whole staff were committed to the care of the residents and indeed the relatives of the residents too! I will have memories of events which affected my wife - the likes and dislikes in food, hot cups of tea. My family members and I always had a wonderful welcome on visitors' days and the same when leaving the home. We hope that we will be regarded as 'friends' of Waterside House.
Thank you so much for the kind words; it was a pleasure to care for your wife. We also have fond memories of our time with yourself as a family, you will always be welcome at Waterside House so please do not be strangers.
The care received is second to none, with nothing being too much trouble.
All staff are so caring, friendly and genuine in their love for residents.
Activities and events are daily held and are of a very high standard, catering for the needs of all.
When we first moved Mom in, we were told that this was to be treated as HER home in every aspect and this has proved to be very true.
It has been such a blessing to ourselves that we know she is in such a lovely home.
Cannot say how great the staff are; just terrific.
Thank you all.
Thank you for you review and kind words; we are so happy that your Mom has settled into her new home. If you have any concerns or queries please free to see me as my door is always open. I will pass your kind words onto the team.
My mother-in-law has seemed to gain a second chance at life, happier and healthier. Even though her mind may not be complete, her life is better now she is in Waterside. The staff at Waterside are excellent and are professional and caring. I would recommend Waterside to anyone, whose relatives suffer from this condition.
Thank you again for your comments.
My father enjoyed his cigarettes and we regularly sat outside in the lovely garden area. Thank you all concerned at Waterside House.
I am very happy with the care I see given to all residents. It is a place I would like to spend my last years if I were in need of that care.
Thank you so much for taking time to complete this review; it is lovely to hear that Waterside is somewhere you yourself would spend your last years if needed.
Excellent care. Wonderful staff. Friendly environment for residents and family member. Our family experience at this care home has been fabulous, every staff member is very helpful from the kitchen staff, domestics and laundry staff right to the management and seniors. As a family, we are pleased our mum is in here.
Thank you for taking time to give such a lovely review; we are so happy you would recommend us to others, your Mum is a pleasure to know and keeps us smiling.
We were asked to attend a six monthly care plan review to ascertain that the care plan in place for my mother meets with our approval and also any question that we needed to ask could be discussed. The staff were excellent, very understanding and caring, not only at the meeting but every time we visit. It is comforting to know that our loved one is being well cared for in this environment.
He always looks clean and tidy and they cope with his toileting. I very much appreciate this and know from my experience of caring at home that this can be tricky to plan. It always amazes me, but give me peace of mind, that Dad is being treated with such kindness and love. Dad would probably want me to mention the food - 'It's excellent'. Nothing left on the plate here. The management is always available if we have a problem and always approachable.
Thank you for your lovely comments; we will pass them on to the team especially the kitchen. We are so glad your Dad is so happy at Waterside, he certainly is part of the family.
With the security in and out of the building, it is a much safer environment for her to live in and helps us knowing she is well cared for.
We have seen a marked improvement to her outlook on life, even cracks the odd joke now.
She now has company throughout the day and has made lots of new friends, so the depression of living alone has almost disappeared.
She has her own bedroom with ensuite if she wants some alone time, but spends most of the day in the dayroom with friends and staff.
Thank you again for your comments.
Very helpful, always someone to talk to. Very good meals. Bedding clean and comfortable.
Thank you for your review. It was lovely meeting you, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope you will come and visit soon.
Fantastic home, the staff have been brilliant looking after my mum. She has enjoyed her respite stay and wants to go again as there is plenty to keep mum occupied. Highly recommend the staff, they were lovely and friendly.
Thank you for the review. Your Mum thoroughly enjoyed her stay with us and we are pleased to receive the positive feedback from yourself with regards to care provided by Waterside House. We look forward to seeing your Mum again in the future.
My brother was resident here for 22 months and was happy and content and really believed he was a favoured resident by the staff and visiting activity leaders. He enjoyed the company of the other residents although he liked his own company which has always been a way of life. Unfortunately, he had to be admitted to a nursing home as his health deteriorated and needed one to one attention. As a family, we are extremely grateful for the care and attention he received during his residency.
Thank you for your lovely review and the excellent feedback you have given. We wish your Brother well and will miss him at Waterside House.
My sister went to Waterside House April 10th of this year. She has been treated with dignity and support and any issues that arise are dealt with quickly ensuring her safety and well being. Unfortunately, she is not mentally able to complete this review.
Thank you so much for your comments about the care your sister has received at our home. To describe the care as good and that your sister was treated with excellent dignity is indeed an accolade and one I know the staff will be proud to hear. Once again thank you for your comments.
Poor communication on all levels. Poor management. Lack of knowledge re staff - no common sense, poor caring skills, lazy. Lack of motivation. Poor attitude.
Needs refurbishing, smells. Very hot, poor ventilation. No stimulation for residents. Would advise others not to put their loved ones in the home.
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us about your experience at our home. We would very much like the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your concerns in more detail, please could you contact us if you would like this to be arranged?
Happy with Mom's care, highly recommend.
Thank you for taking the time to tell us how happy you are with the care provided for your Mom, the team will be pleased to hear how highly you think of them.
I have no complaints, only admiration and respect for management and staff.
Thank you so much for your comments about the care your Dad has received at our home. To describe the care as brilliant and nothing being too much trouble is indeed an accolade and one I know the staff will be proud to hear. Once again thank you for your comments.
