Chandos Lodge

The staff were friendly it felt like I had entered into a family home no smell of urine. They helped the less able to drink and encourage them to eat and drink. Whilst I visited a drink was knocked over and they immediately took the soaked person back to their room to change their clothes. They have a fantastic activities person who gets everyone involved and it was lovely to hear staff and clients laughing together. I would be happy to place a member of my family here.

Chandos Lodge has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The manager and all her staff are amazing, and completely dedicated in their care of all the residents. My mother has settled in well and I am sure this is due to the patience and care of all the staff.

Chandos Lodge was the only home our family looked at for our mother and I'm glad as I don't think we could have found a better place for her. Every single staff member we have met has been brilliant, helpful, cheerful and funny. They all love Mother. The rooms are really clean and cosy and Mother loves the food. The manageress is really friendly. Nothing is too much for them.

My Mom moved into Chandos Lodge a couple of weeks ago and I have to say I am over the moon with the care Mom is receiving. It is the most warm, friendly, loveliest place ever. The staff are amazing, they all love their job and treat the residents like their own family. I love spending time their visiting, everyone makes you feel so welcome. It is never an easy decision to make to put your loved ones into full time care, but I can rest in knowing that Mom is in the best hands. Thank you all xxx

A comfortable and well-organised care home whose residents are mainly affected by age-related dementia. The management are efficient and very friendly and the staff seem to be pleasant and caring.

I have found Chandos Lodge an excellent care provider for my mother who has been there since March 2019. All the care staff are polite and very friendly. The level of service and attention to detail are of a high standard. My mother has settled in because of those factors comfortably. There is also a range of activities such as singers, animal visits which my mother really enjoys. All in all, it makes Chandos Lodge a comfortable and relaxing home.

Choosing a care home for someone you love is really hard Everyone's circumstances will be different. Changes have been the answer to my prayers. The staff are friendly and helpful. My mum is taking her time to settle but only to be expected it's a huge step for the elderly to accept change. So it will take time. The manager is running a good ship and has a good team behind her.

I'm very pleased with the care and attention my mother received.

My mother has been in Chandos Lodge for eight months. She has vascular dementia and is wonderfully cared for, both physically and emotionally by a very understanding and compassionate staff. The atmosphere at Chandos Lodge is always open, friendly and relaxed and it is always easy to communicate with management and staff. An easier access to outside space in the garden would be our only facility request.

My father is very happy in this care home he is looked after extremely well. The staff are very caring and friendly. This home is run very well.

At all times, morning, noon and night, each time I have turned up, there are wonderful, kind, compassionate staff showing love, care and dignity always. The food, every meal is excellent, plenty variety, plentiful and tasty looking. Personal care excellent, always clean. Only downfall is garden-needs TLC.

I am extremely pleased with both the professional and friendly nature of the manager and all her staff at Chandos Lodge. I am confident that my next of kin will receive all the attention and needs he requires to make his stay as comfortable as possible.

Notwithstanding her role as manager pays high regard and attention to the clients under her care and has an excellent fulltime team behind her. This is a first class home staffed by first class professionals.
