I can't speak highly enough of Dorset House. The staff are very friendly, always smiling and always approachable. The manger, Karen is extremely professional. She is genuine and natural, always finding the time to talk and answer any queries one may have. June my mother-in-law has settled so well at Dorset House and my wife and family feel very content when coming away from our visits knowing that she is happy there.

Excellent, caring, nothing is too much trouble. Staff go "over and above". Such a lovely, homely experience. My mother is so settled and happy there after moving on the death of our late father. Dorset House really helped that healing process.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care given to my loved one at Dorset House. From the moment we and they arrived, it was clear this was not just a facility but a true home filled with warmth and compassion. The staff are, quite simply, fabulous. They treat residents with a level of dignity and genuine affection that gave me immense peace of mind. They took the time to understand her personality, stories, visitors, so making her feel truly seen and valued. During a very difficult time, the whole team went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable, happy and loved. They are all an absolute credit to the profession. Thank you.

Karen and her team are amazing and the care and compassion shown to my sister and our family was exemplary. When we were given options to view we saw Dorset House first and were blown away, not just by the property and the room, the staff were all happy and interested in why we were there. I am so pleased that my sister got to spend her last few weeks at Dorset House.

The staff's caring skills and, just as importantly, their compassion towards residents and relatives, are excellent. My cousin's needs are met and attended to consistently in a professional and sensitive way. When my cousin expressed a desire to exercise more, a physiotherapist was organised to provide professional, tailored support, which has benefited my cousin physically and mentally.

I cannot recommend Dorset House highly enough. My Dad was with them for five months with severe dementia and other complex needs. The staff were highly professional and so caring. Dad was treated with such care and dignity. The food was excellent and even when he could not eat solids it was presented to restaurant standards.
There are lots of wonderful activities, singers, therapy dogs, activities and Dad's time was incredibly happy. The staff were also very caring and supportive of my Mum at such a difficult time. Dorset House feels like such a happy place, it does not feel difficult to have your loved one there as they are being so well cared for in beautiful surroundings.

Communication with staff was always easy and they were always so happy and willing to help in any way they could.

From the very first day that mum was here she seemed happy and relaxed. She had some health problems including some falls when she was in her own bungalow, and often used to say she wanted to go home. We think she felt that Dorset House was her home. She never mentioned going home again.

My sister-in-law has been a resident in Dorset House for a month or so. We are more than happy with the tender loving care she receives. The whole staff are considerate, caring and capable of looking after her. From the ever caring manager down to whoever else is concerned in the welfare of my sister in law. My husband was admitted here in July 2024. They have taken such good care of him at all times. He has settled well but can be a little challenging. When this has happened he has been treated with love respect and infinite patience. They also support me when I am upset about situations.
