Outside of work, she enjoys heading to Malvern for getaways at her holiday home, making the most of her weekends away. She loves spending time with her family and her much-loved dog, Bella, and values the balance these moments bring to her life.
Julie is the Head Chef at The Leys Care Home and brings with her 36 years of experience in the catering industry. Throughout her career, she has worked in a wide range of environments, including restaurants, nursery settings, and care homes, gaining extensive experience in roles such as Chef, Head Chef, and Kitchen Manager.
Julie’s broad background has given her a strong understanding of nutrition, special dietary requirements, and the importance of providing meals that are both nourishing and enjoyable. At The Leys, she takes great pride in preparing high-quality, home-cooked food that supports residents’ health and wellbeing while also bringing comfort and familiarity to everyday life.

Wendy has worked in the care sector for 30 years, including five years at The Leys Care Home. Wendy is passionate about caring for people and finds supporting others both meaningful and rewarding.
In her spare time, Wendy enjoys looking after her grandson, going on holidays to the caravan, walking, and socialising with family and friends.
Kim has proudly worked at The Leys for eight years and feels truly connected to the home and everything it stands for. Over the years, she has grown to love The Leys for its warmth, kindness, and the incredible support shared between staff and residents. For Kim, it’s more than just a workplace — it’s a community where people genuinely care for one another.
In her spare time, Kim enjoys working on cars and motorbikes, especially repairing and restoring them. She has a real passion for understanding how things work and takes pride in bringing vehicles back to life.

Angie has worked in care for 20 years and has been part of The Leys team since May 2025. She is passionate about caring and making a real difference in people’s lives. Angie loves working at The Leys because of its warm, homely feel and the strong sense of community.
In her spare time, she enjoys walking and reading. She is also currently studying for a diploma in Social Science.
Steve has worked at The Leys for the past 16 years. As Facilities Support, he enjoys being hands-on and creative in his role. He looks after all environmental compliance matters and also brings a high standard of craftsmanship to his maintenance and handyman work. In addition, Steve takes great pride in maintaining and caring for our beautiful two-acre gardens.
In his spare time, Steve has a keen interest in ornithology and a passion for Irish folk music.
Rashid has been working in care for three years and has been working for The Leys for one year. He enjoys caring for others, helping people, and interacting with residents. One of the most rewarding parts of his job is seeing residents smile. In his spare time, Rashid enjoys travelling and going to the gym.
