The Leys

My mother enjoys being here. She is cared for in a very good way always being looked after by the happy hard working staff who are very attentive. My mother is very contented here there are lots of activities to participate in.

My grandad stayed here for 13 days, and he really enjoyed his time there. He was well fed throughout his stay and very well looked after by everyone. The care and attention he received gave us great peace of mind, knowing he was in good hands. He's even been asking about the staff since coming home! Thank you all for making his stay such a positive experience and for taking such good care of him. We really appreciate everything you've done and would happily recommend your service to others.

It also meant that we could relax and focus on ourselves for a little while, knowing that Grandpa was being so well looked after. We're definitely going to consider something longer-term now, as we just want the very best for him - and this place has honestly been amazing.

I feel fortunate that my mother can live at The Leys. It truly is a 'home' and my mother is happy and contented. Her room is comfortable and immaculately clean. All of the staff are conscientious and caring. However I must particularly mention the Deputy Manager whose level of commitment and care is outstanding. Also a young male carer who lifts my mother's spirits by painting her nails for example and is a lively, cheerful presence.

Excellent care home. My aunt has been a resident since February 2020 and has dementia. All the staff, lead by a super manager, Elaine, are so caring and professional. I appreciate that my Aunt has become quite difficult & I thank them for their perseverance in trying to care for her. If any problems arise they will always keep me informed. A special thanks to both Elaine & Raj who has made many improvents since she took over The Leys 3 years ago.

Mum is always clean and dressed well. Her room is clean and tidy. The meals are freshly cooked and tasty. I have had lunch on a visit. The staff interact with and know each resident well. There is a very welcoming atmosphere. I think we were lucky to find this little gem. It's homely and friendly with fabulous caring staff.

My father in law has recently moved into the Leys ,The home is clean and has a homely feel ,The staff are frendly and have gonea bove and beyond to make my father in law feel at home ,.I would highly recommend The leys For any body looking to put there loved one in a care home.

My dad has recently moved into the leys after removing him from another home,The change in him in such a short time has been amazing ,he's eating all his meals he comes out of his bedroom and interacts more which he never did at the last place ,it's so lovely seeing him happy again , The staff are welcoming and friendly they go above and beyond the home is clean and smell free it's truly a home from home. I would recommend The leys to anyone who is looking for a care home for there loved ones .

My mom lived at the Leys for 2 years and four months, my mom sadly passed away on the 16th of April, within the loving care of the staff. I couldn't have found a better care home for my mom to spend her last couple of years, the owners, manager and all the carers are wonderful, they shown compassion and love towards my mom, always providing dignity and respect, they became my mom's family and friends, she called them her darlings, my mom enjoyed all the entertainment and activities, my mom was always happy and smiling when I visited, I knew it was because she was happy and contented, she loved all the lovely meals, and so did I, on many occasions I would have lunch with my mom and always offered drinks, everyone is so kind and thoughtful, I will miss all the staff, I was always made at home, there, I am so lucky to have found this beautiful home for my mom, and will be forever grateful to everyone, a big thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Found the home a good safe place, the staff were very friendly, made us feel welcome, we outside with out family member and were supplied with tea, coffee and biscuits, before we left we were shown my sisters room which looked very nice and tidy, felt happy she was in a good friendly place and being looked after.

The Leys is well run clean staff are brilliant at what they do. Could not find a better place for my sister to be!

Staff here are always so warm and welcoming. The care they give to the residents is nothing short of amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Definitely a home from home environment. Residents are happy and very well cared for by the whole team.

As a family we feel very fortunate to have chosen The Leys to care for 'mom'. The staff are all amazing. They treat mom with respect, care and above all kindness whenever we visit she always has a smile on her face. She is happy in her 'new home' and that means everything! I have been volunteering at The Leys for the past two years, coming almost every week from March through September to help residents with gardening and creative activities. It has been an absolute pleasure to be part of such a welcoming and positive environment. The home is always clean, the staff are genuinely caring, and the residents consistently look happy and engaged. The food is amazing and being so well looked after is honestly one of the reasons I always look forward to coming back. Seeing the joy and pride residents take in the garden and creative projects is incredibly rewarding. The Leys truly feels like a place where people are respected, supported, and valued-it is without hesitation somewhere I would feel completely confident placing my own family.

These activities bring colour, conversation and excitement into the home, and it's wonderful to see how much the residents enjoy marking special occasions together. It has been a privilege to be part of these moments and to help create a warm, festive environment that truly feels like home.

There is a lovely garden and conservatory which residents can sit outside in the summer months and often you will see deer or rabbits which is so nice to see, a real home from home.

Whole experience is excellent. Eileen is very happy & content here. Lovely to see.

When I visit, I chat to every one of the residents who are not busy. They always love to chat about what's been going on. Excersise sessions, where the whole group are encouraged to join in, & usually end up in fits of giggles. Craft days making seasonal decorations, or works of art, to brighten the rooms.

The staff all seem very happy and love there job many staff have been their many years and that say alot ,when someone you love goes in a care home its very upsetting for the family so i would like to say a thank you to Elaine she was wonerful moped my tears up .
