Doddlespool Hall is an exclusive residential home on the borders of Cheshire and Staffordshire in a beautiful rural location, on the edge of the village of Betley.

The building is rich in history, dating back to the 17th Century, with Victorian additions and tastefully modernised to become a care home in 1985.

Doddlespool Hall is now part of the Cinnabar Health group an award winning care provider, known for innovative, holistic, person-centred care services offered to a wide spectrum of individuals.

At Doddlespool they specialise in providing each service user with a warm, comfortable, supportive and caring environment in which individuals are encouraged to live life to the full, within their capabilities. Their fundamental aim is to create an inviting, home from home atmosphere, and the dedicated and experienced team is committed to supporting service users with their personal needs in a peaceful, relaxing and secure surroundings.

Bedrooms are individually decorated and fully furnished, staff do however make allowances for anyone wishing to bring their own furniture to the home. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated and all bedrooms are en-suite. The three lounges and a dining room boast views across the garden areas and beautiful countryside. This allows ample space for residents to entertain friends and family.

The Home Manager, supported by her Deputy, lead a team of qualified care assistants, catering staff, administrative and support staff. Amazing care home, staff are attentive and caring to all residents. Events are arranged most months which residents and family can attend, with a lot of thought and effort in the arrangements. I would recommend this care home to anyone.

I attended a buffet for the residents of Doddlespool Hall on Sunday 10th March. In my opinion, the standard of care at Doddlespool Hall is second to none and the staff there are excellent. They all treat the residents with care and patience. The atmosphere there is always warm and friendly. I would

A great place for your relatives to be. The staff are very caring, the food is really nice all home cooked with a choice of menu.
Before my husband went into Doddlespool I visited other homes, none of which compared.
The home is kept spotless, the cleaners work nonstop. The rooms are bright with outside
views.
Management are on hand if you have any questions.

Beautiful home in a lovely country area. Very clean. Rooms are exceptionally good. Food excellent. Staff are extremely caring and go above and beyond. Managed exceptionally well. Nothing is too much trouble. They keep you informed. I would highly recommend this home.

An excellent care home, providing amazing care for my Dad. All staff are brilliant, so caring, always going the extra mile, nothing is too much trouble for any of them. The standard of care is first class, the atmosphere is always warm and friendly. The home itself is immaculate and everywhere is spotlessly
clean. I cannot praise everyone connected with Doddlespool highly enough.

Absolutely wonderful care home, I dreaded putting Mum and Dad into a home after having full-time care in their own home, failed. The staff are amazing, so caring and professional, who regularly go above and beyond. Mum and Dad have improved so much whilst there, the building is immaculate, so cosy and
spotlessly clean. Mum and Dad love the food too, very good quality. It's great to see them smiling again after so long. Five stars all the way.

All precautions taken against infection were very good indeed. Cleanliness - very good indeed. As a patient needing very little actual care I could only see from observation that patients were very helpfully treated often under very trying circumstances.

I have been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer (myeloma). Great care is being taken with the administration of my drugs in particular. The staff are helpful and positive at all times.

The home is clearly well run with a forward thinking and proactive leadership team. The standard of care given is excellent, and the staff are clearly committed to creating a positive home environment for residents. Activities are designed to be varied and suit all abilities. Doddlespool aspires to provide a safe environment, with an emphasis on personal care. This is achieved at an acceptable level, however, unless a cohort of staff are retained that are suitable, trained in caring for people with dementia moving forwards, this will be unachievable.

Mandy is the CQC Registered Manager at Doddlespool Hall, joining the company in June 2018.


She has an NVQ level 5 Management + Leadership award and over 20 years of experience in health and social care.


Mandy leads in supporting her staff to promote dignity and independence throughout the home to the highest of standards.

Charlie

Charlie Dennis

Job Title: Head of Care Joined: 2018

Charlie has worked in the care sector for over 10 years covering various roles. Starting with a domestic assistant and working her way up to her current position. She continued to work in the care industry whilst attending a London Drama School where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree.


Charlie worked hard to help improve standards in all her workplaces, and during COVID-19 when theatres closed, she came home and worked at Doddlespool Hall to help keep residents safe and well during the pandemic.


This changed Charlie's focus and she decided to follow a different route, as she knew she was making a difference.


Charlie continues to work to the best of her ability in her role and ensure the residents receive a good quality of care which enhances their lives.

Lisa

Lisa Rowe

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2017

Lisa originally commenced her career at Doddlespool as a Domestic supervisor however, within the first year it became obvious her passion was care. During her role as a care assistant, she has worked to gain knowledge and qualifications in both Adult Care Work and Principles of End of Life.


In 2023 Lisa was promoted to Deputy Manager.


Lisa's ethos is to provide individualised care to a high standard, showing dignity and respect while promoting choice and independence.


In Lisa's words: "My proudest achievement has got to be when a resident voted me as Employee of the Month".

Hayley Jayne

Hayley Jayne Thorley

Job Title: Domestic Supervisor Joined: 2022

I chose a career in care after being inspired by healthcare workers during the pandemic.


Cleanliness, attentiveness and organisation skills are my strong points and are highly important for this role.
My previous civil service experience has put me in a good position to lead a strong team of like-minded individuals.
