All the staff are so helpful, kind, so friendly, so caring always solve any problem. I always feel at ease. You can have a laugh which sometimes is important. They all seem so good to my mother. It must be so difficult to deal with dementia patients but they do with always a smile.

My mother has been a resident at Rosemary Lodge for nearly 5 years and I cannot rate highly enough the care she receives. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The whole building, not just the bedrooms, is always clean, tidy and well maintained. The residents
enjoy are varied menu and a plentiful supply of drinks. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rosemary Lodge to anyone who is looking for a residential care home for a loved one.

My mum had a brief respite stay at Rosemary Lodge 5 years ago and when the time came a few months ago for her to move permanently into care, this was where she wanted to live.
She is happy and relaxed - and just as important - so is her family. The care is excellent and there is a real family feel
straight away as you enter the building.
She has recently celebrated her 100th birthday and we had afternoon tea in the dining room to celebrate with some of her family. The food was excellent and the staff came in and sang to her and made her a cake. Everyone had a really memorable experience; a special occasion indeed.
Thank you all.
Your care of our mum is very much appreciated.

Rosemary Lodge is an exceptional place. The quality of the home, food, furnishings and cleanliness is exemplary. Every member of staff, without exception, demonstrates a level of care and compassion towards the residents that is quite amazing. As a relative, I am greeted by name each time I visit. Nothing
seems to be too much trouble for the staff for either residents or visitors. The premises are beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished. It is spotlessly clean. The grounds and gardens are equally well maintained, with manicured lawns, flower beds and a stunning patio area.
The Chef and his team produce top-quality meals, cakes, pastries etc for the residents, with a fresh and varied menu offered each day.
Activities, trips out and visiting entertainers are a regular feature for the residents and there seems always to be a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Rosemary Lodge is a quality care home, most definitely worthy of a 5* rating.

Rosemary Lodge continues to provide excellent care for its residents and their families.
The staff are always cheerful and happy to share a smile with everyone and have a chat to the residents as they go about their duties. They are always available to give advice or updates on my mother-in-law and
consistently make us feel that she is safe, loved and well cared for. She is very content there and is always included in any activity or discussion that is taking place. We feel very happy with our choice of care provider.

I went in for one week to help me become myself. I needed peace to return to myself. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the friendly atmosphere, the staff are so helpful. Everyone is good and the bath was the highlight of my stay. I hope to become a resident - Aug/Sept if they will have me if a suitable room
is free.

My partner's brother's wife was admitted because her husband was no longer able to care for her. She is not an easy person to look after in many ways but the staff at Rosemary Lodge have shown patience and kindness towards her and she is beginning to respond in a positive and happier way.

My husband has been going to Rosemary Lodge for daycare these past few weeks. He really enjoys his day and comes home full of what he has been doing. When my daughter and I went to visit before he started we were very impressed with how lovely, bright and homely it was. The staff are very helpful and
caring.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.095)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.095) out of 10 for Rosemary Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.814 for Rosemary Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (53 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 59 Ratings = 4.814
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.281 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rosemary Lodge is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 registered maximum number of service users is 6.4. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 6.4 = 0.781
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

"In the late ’80s, while studying Social Care, I began questioning why shouldn’t living in a care home be a well-deserved enjoyable stage of life rather than a place that is limited to God’s waiting room. Shouldn’t it be a time to socialise, active and nurture the spirit in a comfortable lifestyle? Shouldn’t a Resident be cared for as if they were family? The answer to all, was ‘Yes!’ And so, Rosemary Lodge was born and based on these values.

Today more than 30 years later, Rosemary Lodge remains in the same experienced hands. Many elderly ladies and gentlemen have resided happily in our home. It continues to enjoy a hard-earned reputation and is well supported by the local community and medical professionals. Our ethos and our standards remain consistent. Just as we take care of our Residents 24 hours a day, Rosemary Lodge does not stop in its efforts to evolve, improve and maintain its position as a leading luxurious care home."

"I found my dream job in 2004 – by sheer chance! I was helping out at Rosemary Lodge as a “Girl Friday” and I immediately knew where I wanted to grow. I started at the bottom and worked my way up – through hard work, gaining hands-on experience, and studying to become a Registered Care Manager.

My years at the Lodge have been wonderful – there is something special in the aura of the home, and the energy and attitude of our team. Our Residents and their families feel it as much as I do. For me, it’s my second home and I am grateful to be the Mom of our happy family here."

"One thing is certain at Rosemary Lodge –no two days are ever the same. It’s a great choice if you don’t want boring days.

A second thing is it is a friendly family home. This applies to Carers too. We work together to make a difference in the lives of those we care for.

There is little more rewarding than empowering our Residents to enjoy life.

My idea of a good day is finishing work, knowing I have put smiles on faces."

"I wasn’t sure what to expect when I joined Rosemary Lodge, but my goodness I was pleasantly surprised having only worked in a corporate environment, I was looking for a role that would be challenging but in a different way.

The Lodge certainly does that, there is a special feeling as soon as you walk through the doors such a family atmosphere and a happy, homely feeling. The aura around the home is peaceful and the warmth you receive from the residents just makes my job worthwhile."
