My Father-In-Law had been here for two and a half years. The Chimneys has a very homely feel, staff are good, my Father-In-Law is looked after very well. Much better since new manager was appointed. Lovely place to end your days. Lots of entertainment residents don't just sit staring into space.

When Nanny first arrived, she settled well. She is not very sociable so when she made a friend, I was very happy. Unfortunately, a few months later, her friend passed away. I repeatedly asked for the staff to encourage friendships etc. but this was not done. Then covid arrived. Over the last 18 months, my nanny's health, both physical and mental, has declined very quickly. Since covid, it has been difficult to arrange visits and I have discovered that staff members have not always been truthful when I have called to see how she is. There is now a new manager in place and I am hoping this helps.

Very friendly staff who are always attentive, and followed guidelines efficiently during covid. Comfortable and clean rooms and varied menu. Activities and entertainment have been brilliant especially recently in the last few weeks. This has been portrayed well on social media so we can see what they have been up to. My mum has been at The Chimneys for a number of years, always seems in good spirits when I see her although she had dementia. The staff are always loving and caring for her, which makes life easier for me, knowing this. Food and cleanliness, very good. Lucky to get Mum into the Chimneys as it's very local to me.
