I think the daily is an amazing idea. Also to have the opportunity have nails and hair done is a really important bit of care.
Happy with the way my sister is cared for. All staff are obliging and cheerful. The manager is always ready to chat if I need his help plus his deputy and office assistant.
Homewood is a fantastic place to be. Staff are so kind, caring and affectionate. Food is excellent and plenty to choose from. My room is cleaned most days and laundry returned same day. Senior staff have an excellent knowledge of illnesses and help me manage my health conditions very very well. I would definitely recommend this home.
This nursing home provided great quality care throughout late 2019 to late 2022 for my mother during the Covid pandemic. She was nursed and looked after well despite the most challenging of times. I am very grateful to the staff for their amazing care.
Thank you so much for your kind words and the time taken to review our service.
I can not thank all the staff at Homewood enough.
Thank you for your kind words, we are so very pleased Mum has settled in well here.
The room was comfortable, with plenty of drawers for storage. The room and shower room were cleaned daily. The staff were always pleasant and helpful, but not obtrusive. The food was excellent and varied and too plentiful. I enjoyed my stay here. I have no adverse criticism.
Thank you for taking the time to leave you review of our service.
My review is of necessity incomplete - I made only 3 short visits in a 3 week period. I found the staff helpful and diligent. The accommodation was clean and well adapted to those with limited mobility. Since I was at no time resident, the majority of 'star ratings' below have been marked 'satisfactory' in order to get this poorly designed web page to close.
All care homes would say that in current times particularly with Covid lockdowns, resources are under stress. Nevertheless, I can report that Homewood, Leamington by and large came through these trying times with flying colours. One had the sense that at all levels of management and staff people had genuine concern and support for my mother. If we had any issues they were normally resolved pretty quickly. I would go further to say that I would regard their employees as friends. My mother was generally appreciative too despite the fact that she could be a little difficult at the end. The staff were still understanding and supportive. The whole process has given me a better understanding of the care sector and the fine efforts made by people within it, who are often under real pressure.
I would like to emphasise the affection, love and dignity in the last few weeks exceeded what we could have hoped for.
Thank you Homewood.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and your kind words.
I have only been here for two weeks but have, so far, been treated with care and kindness.
My late mother was at MHA Homewood for two and a half years. During this time she received the highest level of care and compassion from the staff and at the end of her life was treated with respect and dignity. I would thoroughly recommend Homewood for the caring staff and lovely welcoming atmosphere.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and for your kind words. It has been a pleasure to know both your Mother and yourselves.
My late mother was a resident of MHA Homewood for over 6 years. She was treated with dignity and respect, received excellent care and appreciated the many activities organised by the home. The care my mother received at her end of life was exceptional. MHA as an organisation navigated the pandemic well. I would not hesitate to recommend Homewood.
Thank you so much for your time to leave this review and your kind words, it was a pleasure to care for your mother, she was a valued member of our Homewood family.
My Godmother was in Homewood until late, I cant commend the staff team enough for their care and compassion. The management are empathetic and run the home to its optimum, collectively they all deserve a medal for their work especially over the testing 2 years.
Thank you for your review and kind words, it means a huge amount to all of us here at Homewood.
I booked into Homewood on Thursday 30th December and was welcomed by a friendly care worker and given tea and biscuits. I was immediately struck by how clean and orderly the whole home was. This good initial impression being confirmed on being presented with a most comfortable room. Having now been here for a week, I can truthfully say that the care and kindness I have received from all the staff has been exemplary. As someone who is recovering from severe clinical depression, I could not have found a better venue for respite care/.
Thank you for taking the time to submit this review, it is our plasure to have you with us and hope you have found your home with us here.
My late mother received excellent care during the five and a half years she spent at Homewood. She settled in so well because of the friendly and supportive staff. She enjoyed the full and varied programme of activities immensely. She also very much appreciated the spiritual support provided by the two successive chaplains she got to know so well. In the last few weeks of my mother’s life, the family were particularly impressed with the consideration, kindness, love and care expressed by the staff.
Thank you
The staff are very attentive, helpful and caring towards visitors, family and the residents themselves and do everything to make the stay as relaxing and rewarding as possible. They have already organised local occupational therapist, optician and medical support, and are happy to help however possible.
The place itself is clean and on admission were happy to work with us to get the right chairs, setup and cosiness for the in-laws which meant they felt immediately home from home. The 4G signal is not the best but that is not the home's fault, but there are ways to resolve this which they worked with us on.
First impressions are very positive.
Thank you so much for your review and feedback on our home, we are very pleased that we have been able to aid in the admission process and look forward to a long and prosperous stay with us.
My wife became a resident 2 years ago when I went abroad for two weeks. Then her experience was so positive for that fortnight that when she needed to be cared for permanently, her family and I decided on Homewood. She has been in since the end of July 2020. During this time her physical condition and confusion has deteriorated. She has had some falls and broken bones and is now bedridden. I see her daily and am very pleased with the care she receives.
Thank you for the time taken to write this review, we as a team pride ourselves in the care we provide to our residents and making them feel at home.
Mum has been a resident at Homewood since August 2020. My opinion of Homewood is that it is a well-managed care home that endeavours to put the needs of each individual resident at the centre of the daily running of the home. All the staff interact in a meaningful way with residents. The rooms are comfortable and well decorated. During the covid crisis, the home has managed to balance the conflicting needs of keeping residents safe with the benefits of keeping in contact with relatives by a variety of means.
Thank you for the time taking to complete the review. We really appreciate your lovely comments during this difficult time.
All the staff were very friendly, helpful and happy.
On the day of admission, they greeted her at the door which made her feel welcome. As she had to be in isolation for 2 weeks her television was instantly set up and her radio which was important. I have spoken to her she tells me the food is good, everyone is nice and she is now out doing activities. My mum seems very happy there. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and your kind words. We are so pleased that we were able to make a difficult time a little easier for both mum and yourself.
Mum went to Homewood in September 2018 until she passed away in May this year. The carers are exceptional and really looked after and understood Mum's needs and could usually make her smile. The activities and entertainment are really good and she took advantage of these most of the time. Unfortunately, following Covid, she returned to the home for palliative care and it was so reassuring to know that she was in such good hands and that they really cared - we are very grateful for the support they gave to us as well at this awful time.
Thank you so much for your kind words and recognition of the staff team.
