Can't do enough to help you.
All the staff I have so far had the experience of 'have gone the extra mile' to provide a level of service at least equal to that of a good hotel, together with empathy with residents far greater than appropriate.
Thank you so very much for your kind words, the staff team really do go above and beyond.
My mother was diagnosed with Covid-19 in May and was looked after in a caring and very professional manner. I have high praise for all the staff who have worked so hard and brought her through it. I was able to visit her this week (17th June) in the garden, which was wonderful and great to see her looking happy and content. Thank you to all.
Thank you so much for your appreciation, both the staff team and residents have shown such resilience throughout the pandemic.
When the time came both my husband and I needed to sell our house as we required extra care I immediately thought of MHA as I'd visited the previous home and was impressed when the doctor in hospital suggested MHA I could have hugged him! and to think they actually got rooms.
Thank you for your review, it’s good to know that MHA has a good reputation amongst health professionals.
We have been very impressed with how they have continued to care during this difficult time, they have been professional but have taken the time to give a personal touch so that she hasn’t felt too isolated during lockdown.
Our aunt thanks us regularly for finding Homewood for her and we would happily choose it again if the need arose.
Thank you so much for kind words of appreciation, the staff team are truly amazing.
My mother has been a resident at Homewood since September 2019. The Home has many positives, an excellent location, spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and lovely rooms. There is a tranquil and attractive garden and the communal areas offer a nice variety of options depending on what people want to do. Good nutrition is clearly important and the food is excellent. The staff are all very caring, clearly well trained and highly motivated to do the best for all residents. The home runs a varied and full activities programme and outings, which even less able people (like my mother) were welcome and supported to attend. The quality of the staff was one of the main reasons Mum and I chose this home for her. This quality has been very apparent during the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff have kept cheerful and positive despite what must have been very difficult circumstances. It was nice to see that their employer clearly cares about them too as they had PPE. I would highly recommend Homewood.
Thank you so much for your feedback. The staff team at Homewood and, MHA as an organisation, have been amazing both before and during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mum has been a resident at the home for 6 years. She can still get around using her Zimmer and, thanks to a comprehensive programme of social activities prior to lockdown and regular online interaction during it, she has been able to keep mentally active. If we have ever had any concerns, Homewood has listened carefully and resolved the issue. A very big thank you to all the staff for their hard work, especially during the pandemic. I would not hesitate to recommend Homewood.
Thank you so much for your kinds words; your feedback is very much appreciated, especially during these challenging times.
My mother reluctantly entered Homewood after a series of falls which left her unable to cope at home. The staff were amazing with her, laughing and joking with her whilst treating her with the utmost dignity. The kindness they showed to Mum was extended to the whole family, even arranging video calls during the lockdown. The rooms are bright and kept immaculate, and all the washing and ironing was dealt with promptly. There was always a good choice of food on offer prepared to a high standard and a varied program of entertainment on offer. I will always be grateful for the care given during this awful virus from the staff, putting themselves in a vulnerable position to care for our loved ones. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone as a real home from home.
Thank you so much for your kind words and appreciation of an amazing staff team who continue to remain positive, caring and creative during a difficult time for all people living and working in a care home environment.
Very welcoming in the establishment, which is created by the warmth, approachability, sympathy, professional and true care of the manager and her deputies. We had more open communication, involvement and as I said true 'care' in the short space of time we visited than in the six years of another home. We believe our aunt would have truly enjoyed being here, had her circumstance been different and we'd like to thank all there. A great place, run very well.
Thank you for your recommendation. We pride ourselves on delivering the best care possible to each and every resident and making it a home from home and treat all residents here as if they were our own family members. Thank you for the time spent with us.
After losing her independence my mother finally concluded she needed a residential care home and wanted to go to Homewood. During her time at the home (over two years) the staff were unfailingly helpful and supportive even as her needs became greater and more complex. She is well looked after in a professionally run home with staff going out of their way to make her stay as enjoyable as possible.
We are very pleased and proud to receive the compliments in recognition of how the team support and care for the residents here at Homewood.
She loved having a joke with them. As her mobility was nil, she couldn't move around by herself. Due to Parkinson's, she didn't want to join in on the activities which were available which was a pity. My brother and I knew she was being well cared for.
It is very kind of you to take the time during your grieving to submit such a lovely and endearing compliment and is well received and appreciated.
An extremely pleasant, friendly environment created by a caring staff in all departments i.e. Caring, cleaning, cooking, maintenance. Many of the staff going the extra mile looking after residents needs and understanding the importance of providing an encouraging environment and the importance of keeping active and motivated from day to day.
As the new Manager in this service, I am delighted to receive this compliment on behalf of all the staff at Homewood and thank you very much for taking the time to do this formally. I shall share it with all the team so that they know that all the work that they do is recognised.
The entire team at Homewood were from the start, supportive and extremely kind and most of all completely understood our concerns and hopes for our Mum's wellbeing and care. They never lost sight of the fact that we wanted our Mum to be as comfortable as possible and that she was treated with dignity and kindness.
Thank you for the lovely comments you have made about Homewood. It is a pleasure to receive such positive feedback and the staff welcome such recognition of the hard work that they do.
After two months, she had various small strokes and gradually became bedridden.
There was no question of moving her, although she needed nursing care and she was cared for with dignity, love and affection up to the time she died.
Many thanks to Homewood for making her last difficult months so easy for her and all the family.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for the kind and positive comments you have made about your family's experience of Homewood. Staff at the home work hard to ensure that residents retain their dignity and treat all with care and compassion. I am pleased that you felt you were all well supported at this difficult time.
We have been very impressed with Homewood and its staff, all of whom are caring and thoughtful. The building could do with an update in the communal areas but this does not impact on the overall ethos. My mum has been happy there for the last 4 years. The lack of continuity in the overall management is a shame but hopefully, a new manager will be found soon.
What a wonderful place to spend your latter years. Mum was always treated with respect, care, dignity and her need constantly attended to.
During her last few weeks and days, as she entered end of life care, this was particularly true. They kept me informed regularly of changes to mum's state of health and kept a special eye on mum when I wasn't able to be there. Thank you all so much from senior care staff right through to those in support work eg laundry.
Mum stayed at Homewood for over four years and was well cared for all of that time. In the early years, she joined in some of the activities and went on some excursions. She enjoyed these very much. As she became more frail, the care afforded her was appropriate and of a high standard. Mum bonded with many of the carers and many would take the time to stop and chat with her. Overall a very good experience.
After prolonged stays in hospital and two other care homes, dad arrived at Homewood in March an angry man, tired and in very poor health. From the start, the care dad received was exceptional. Not only did the staff ensure that he was clean, tidy and generally well cared for but they also took the trouble to find out why he was so angry. As a consequence, he became calmer and happier and said he was really glad that he was at Homewood. Dad died peacefully, knowing that he was in the best place possible and surrounded by caring and, dare I say it, loving people. Thank you.
Our experience has been wonderful and the care girls have been so supportive to us and our mother who has just moved into Homewood. It's a calm and happy place with lots of smiling faces. Our mother has settled in really well and the care givers are always on hand when and if they are needed. The food is super and always available. We are very happy that our mother is being well looked after.
Food uninteresting. Items running out i.e. Yoghurt, prunes, apple juice. Very noisy at night.
