My dad has been at Cherry Tree Lodge Care Home since July. He has settled here. My dad has got a best friend who he gets on really well with. My dad enjoys the food. My dad enjoys all the activities, especially the singalong. The staff are really pleasant. Cherry Tree Lodge is a well-run home.

In the eighteen months that I have been here, I have been able to settle down so happy that I am now in my comfort zone and happy in this condition. The care and the friendship I get absolutely make me very happy and certainly never want it to change. Happy in the serenity that I have got here. My room is my world in which I am content.

My mum has been at Cherry Tree Lodge Care Home for over two years, she enjoys the fun activities and singing/music. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My mum gets along with everyone. My mum is a vegetarian and is well catered for. I am pleased with all at Cherry Tree.

My wife has been at Cherry Tree Lodge Care Home for eighteen months. I was sceptical at first but am glad that my wife is here as she seems happy and enjoys singing and dancing and all activities. I even participated in singing and play your cards right with my wife. My wife is settled and happy. I feel she is being cared for and eats very well. I find the staff very helpful. Nice that I am kept up to date with the welfare of my wife.

I found the staff very caring and kind, explaining to residents all the time what they were going to do regarding moving them or other duties they carried out.
The home always smelt clean and the bedrooms kept tidy. Sometimes the clothes got put in the wrong room but this was quickly sorted.
The staff were very polite.

The food was very good and lots of choices for individual needs.

Think carefully about placing your loved ones in this Care Home. You will wait an eternity to gain access due to no reception staff. Be prepared to hear room buzzers sounding for prolonged periods due to understaffing. We have been present when Mum buzzed for help and it took over 10min to get staff to help her to the toilet; feeding being their priority. More often than not our mum's buzzer button is out of reach (she can’t throw it away). No one ever answers the phone if relatives are looking to check in on your loved one (some can’t use mobile phones). Clothes keep going missing and Mum is being dressed in stuff that isn’t hers. Perfume got stolen on Mum's birthday. Mum has been left sat in her own urine for long periods of time despite buzzing for help. Room is often dirty with crockery from previous meals sitting around for hours. The only reason we haven’t moved Mum is because of continued promises of things getting better coupled with Mum's anxiety on relocation.

My 100-year-old mum has been at Cherry Tree Lodge for 6 months. She settled in very quickly and has made a couple of friends. I feel that she is well looked after and I find the staff kind and caring. They are always happy to make a cup of tea for both me and my mum. My mum says that the staff are respectful and treat her with dignity when showering and dressing her. The cleaning lady is lovely and waters her windowsill plants and the laundry lady knows my mum's clothes and puts them away with care. My mum is very particular about her plants and clothes so these acts of kindness are very important to her. During the Christmas lockdown, a member of staff made sure that my mum had her hair cut, washed and dried weekly which is also something that my mum appreciated. The receptionist always greets us with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble for her to do. I am kept updated if there are any changes to my mother's health. I feel very happy leaving my mum in the care of Cherry Tree Lodge.

Change of management has improved the overall performance of the home. Staff far more attentive in all areas of caring and appearance with more communication and far more welcoming. Overall appearance of the home with regard to cleanliness better. Definitely a noticeable change from my aunt in her demeanour and manner, seems much happier.

I am please there are now more activities, as this can only help with dementia residents.

My 99-yeard-old mother has been in Cherry Tree Lodge for nearly three and a half years, and during this time, she has been very happy and well cared for. Sadly with Coronavirus, I have been unable to visit my mother in her room since March 2020 and was finally able to do it last week. Mum is well, but the changes in staff and lack of communication has been a sad aspect of Covid. I do not feel in touch with how care is being managed and how many activities are being offered to understand the level of care. I do feel out of touch, and fortunately, a weekly Zoom with Mum and the family is our main contact. Look forward to getting back to normal visits and contact.

The care given to my relative during such a difficult time has been exceptional. All aspects of is needs have been met by the staff and by care professionals brought in. Although I have not been able to have visits due to Covid-19, I have been given regular updates by phone. The family are very grateful and reassured that everything is being done to make residents safe.

Because of coronavirus the home was closed to visitors on 12th March. In my opinion this was exactly the right time to enforce this for the safety of residents. The staff has been great in keeping the family in touch with Mum, which has made us feel reassured that she is in good hands. thank you to all the members of staff.

My mother is very happy at Cherry Tree Lodge. She is always saying the staff are very caring, the food is good, and she has been well looked after.
Our family have always been satisfied with the level of care, but with the onset of Covid-19 in recent weeks, the staff have been extra thoughtful, with photos, messages and updates on the residents. We are very grateful to them for all their care.

I would recommend this home to anyone; thank you.
