My father-in-law moved into Lower Meadows 11/04/23. As with all families, it is one of the hardest decisions a family has to make or either have no other choice to do for their loved ones.

It is still very early days as a family we are still yet to fully understand everything that this care home has to offer the logistics of everything. He has settled in well and is happy. The managers are friendly warm and welcoming- always taking time to speak to us when needed they just want what is best for their residents /care home. All the staff we have met are friendly and caring I must mention his carer she is always smiling so helpful down to earth with such a wonderful caring way about her. We are so thankful that John is in such a caring home. We can’t thank all of the staff enough. It has truly provided us with comfort and assurance knowing he is being cared for in a beautiful safe immaculate happy environment. It’s lovely to hear the music playing in the background when we visit.

A lovely friendly care home whose staff went above and beyond the requirements of their job to make my father feel truly cared for whilst he was at Lower Meadow. The manager and her team should be credited for their work.

On my first visit to discuss my aunt going into a care home, I was very impressed with the look of the home and the condition and more homely than others I had seen. I was happy with the information I was given and clean and bright,

My mother stayed with Lower Meadow, Stratford, for respite care. She seemed to enjoy her stay there and we felt that the staff were able to meet her needs, despite my mother speaking limited English. The staff at Lower Meadow were very welcoming and supportive when following my mother's care plan. The staff along with her carer were a credit to the care home and we will be pleased to use their service in the future.

We moved my mother from another care home to Lower Meadow - the difference is amazing in her now. She is much happier, and the care she is receiving is excellent. All of the staff are kind, professional and interested in her as a person - not just a room number. Just a big thank you to all the staff at Lower Meadow.

I’ve seen a few care homes in my profession and this is certainly one of the best. Clean, tidy and quiet. I’ve stayed the night with my grandmother and have felt so welcome. Having travelled a long way - I was welcome to shower and even offered a room. I stayed with my Grandmother but the offer was very much appreciated. The staff have been amazing. Welcoming, friendly, and respectful of both myself and my grandmother. Informative and very caring. I’ve spoken to the Manager a few times and he’s explained the situation and checked on my welfare as well as my grandmothers. Lower Meadow is definitely the kind of care home I hope I would end up in when the time is right. Thank you Lower Meadow team.

Lower Meadow is highly recommended. Very comfortable and purpose-built so everything works well with regards to the rooms, the communal areas and lounges, the equipment and facilities, and security, etc, etc and everywhere always seems to be immaculately clean.

Most important of course, the staff are absolutely superb - so caring and helpful. My 90-year-old mother is happy there and settled in quickly - she loves all the attention she receives from the friendly and professional staff - nothing ever seems too much trouble for them. Whilst the food is also very good too.

Reply from Carol McDyre, Customer Relations Manager at Lower Meadow

After moving my father from another care home I found Lower Meadow to be a breath of fresh air. I couldn’t ask more of all of the team, from being helped by the Customer Relations Manager with the admission to the rest of the team and the Deputy Manager in particular. Although my dad comes with his own issues due to his illness all the staff at Lower Meadow go above and beyond. Thank you all, finally I know my dad is being cared for properly.

The first thing that is so evident on arrival at Lower Meadow is the friendly and helpful nature of all the staff. The facilities, cleanliness and overall living environment are very good. Moving our mother into Lower Meadow was made so much easier because of the help, support and accommodation of the staff. Above all, Lower Meadow is a caring environment that provides peace of mind that your loved one is receiving the care you desire for them and which they deserve.

"I couldn't imagine being better cared for anywhere else" my father's words. A man who six months earlier when a GP suggested he may at some time need to go to care home replied "unimaginable"

All the staff from the manager to the lady who collected laundry, to the staff that brought him a drink were respectful, considerate and spent time with him. When dad was able he enjoyed their company. This excellent care and above dedication to duty lasted until he passed away peacefully in the care home.

Lower Meadow became a home to my 99-year-old grandmother after a short period of adjustment after living independently for so long, and the welcoming culture of staff, my nan settled in well. The staff are absolutely amazing. They are all so kind, caring and compassionate and really cared about my nan. My nan was forever grateful for their kindness and hardwork and always treated her with respect and dignity.

My elderly mother passed away a few weeks ago (January 2022) at Lower Meadow Care Home in Stratford Upon Avon. I was a regular visitor to the home and got to know the staff really well. The staff were amazing they cared for my mum (99 years of age) so well I couldn't have wished for better care for her. The staff at Lower Meadow are amazing and a credit to the company who own Lower Meadow. Thank you to all the staff at Lower Meadow.

My 99-year-old grandmother moved into Lower Meadow in March 2021. After a period of adjustment my nan settled in well and this was down to the genuine sincere care and kindness of all the staff. Her room was tidy, clean, bright, and spacious. She lived here until she died last week. The staff are outstanding. They loved my nan and the care they gave her and us as a family was outstanding compassionate and professional. We will always be grateful to Lower Meadow, we miss you all.

Lower Meadow is a template care home, but beautifully laid out with lovely decor, spacious communal and outside garden areas, and light airy bedrooms, all with ensuite wet-rooms
We bought my mum here in June of 2021 and as much as a painful experience it was to give up caring for her at home, the staff made this as worry-free as possible.
Mum has dementia but is very mobile - Lower Meadow has ample space for residents to roam around but is a secure facility; we always feel so welcome when we visit too. What really makes this place special is the staff - including the Snr Team Leader, Home Manager, Activities Coordinator, her carer, plus all the other carers, team leaders, caterers, laundry ladies, and managers make this place special. I cannot thank them enough for the care they have extended to my mum, and for the sense of relief we have to know she is happy in her 'Lower Meadow Bubble'

Thanks to the Marketing Coordinator for talking us through the admission process - so glad we chose your facility

All staff from the new manager to care assistants and everyone are so caring and looked after dad so well. He really enjoyed being in Lower Meadow. He was always kept clean and shaved with clean clothes every day. His room was also clean and tidy and we were able to have lots of photos, pictures, and ornaments with fond memories for him in his room. All staff made time to look at these and talk to him about his memories and his late wife. They were wonderful.

My mum was blind and very hard of hearing. She moved to Lower Meadow in November 20201. From the outset, the staff treated her with the utmost respect and dignity. They provided exemplary care until the end of her life. They were, without exception, kind, patient and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. They made my mum and her family feel safe and secure. We cannot express adequately how grateful we are for the care and service provided by Lower Meadow staff to my mum.
