Overall Experience

My father recently passed away, peacefully and comfortably of old age, in the hands of the most professional team of carers I could have asked for. He was resident for about two years, and during that time received consistently high-quality attention for all his needs. I am local to the home and visited several times a week, and can only commend the friendliness, kindness, thoughtfulness and humour of a wonderful team of people who carry out a very difficult vocation. I have no hesitation in recommending Park View to anyone who wants the best for their relative.

This residential home is excellent. My mum has dementia and was distressed when coming in. The staff understand her needs and wishes and she has settled. I find the staff very attentive and kind to all residents in the home and make visitors welcome. I can't praise them enough and I can't thank them enough.

I visit Park View regularly to see my friend, who lives there. I have always found the home to be clean and airy. The staff are very welcoming, always offering refreshments. My friend says she is very happy living here. She has so many choices offered to her at mealtimes and there are activities on too, which she loves. She really is very well cared for. I can't wait to move in.

I would have little hesitation in recommending this home to those who are in need of permanent care. The staff are friendly and helpful.
They treat Mum with kindness and dignity. The kitchen staff are happy to prepare her something of her choice (within reason!) that is not on the menu.
She has her hair done at the 'in house' hairdressers and also a manicure. This certainly gives her a boost.
She has a lovely room with a door which opens out onto the garden.

Although it was a sad decision for her to go into a home, it is reassuring to know she is well looked after.

My mother in law was adamant she would never go into a care home but as she became more and more immobile, even the regular care visits she received at home were not enough so she agreed to a two week stay at Park View.

She is so much better - she loves the place, the food and her bed and can't praise the carers highly enough. Needless to say, she wants to stay indefinitely.

My mother has been extremely well cared for and I am especially pleased with how they look after her if she has, say, a fall. Very professional and hardworking staff. My mother is encouraged to join in activities and to enjoy the garden. They take good care over her personal hygiene, which is so important.

My mother was taken into Park View following several stays in hospital. She was in Park View for 11 weeks in total. She received the best possible care at all times. All staff were so friendly, helpful and exceptionally kind. She was always treated with the utmost dignity and respect. The individual rooms are very light in design, spacious and well furnished. The dining rooms have beautiful views over the park and the food is delicious. We loved the supportive atmosphere at Park View. We cannot thank the staff enough. Park View is an exceptional home with excellent staff. We would thoroughly recommend Park View.

I have only recently arrived at Park View Care Home (about 6 weeks) and I am pleasantly surprised at the care and friendliness I am receiving from staff and residents. A doctor is always on call if needed, so after all, if you need to be cared for, Park View is the place.

My father in law has been here for 15 months and is terminally ill. We cannot express how impressed we are with his care. The home is always welcoming, staff are always friendly and helpful.
He always has a smile for his main carers, who feed and wash him. They are both very caring and patient with him as he is totally bed bound. His room is always clean and fresh.

Chatting to other service users, they are always happy and content.

The ethos of the home is very good. Kindness and consideration are shown to residents at all times, their dignity upheld.
Cleanliness is good, rooms are comfortable, laundry is done well and regularly. Day to day food is good and special occasions are celebrated very well too.
It is reassuring to know medication is dealt with well and any medical needs are referred to the GP without delay.

The only negative was that several months passed without an activities coordinator.

I looked at several places for my mom before deciding on Park View. It immediately struck me as far nicer than other homes we'd visited.

I am generally very pleased. Staff are great with mom. The food is excellent, the room is great. There doesn't seem to be as much going on in activities nowadays especially as that was an attraction of Park View when we first came I appreciate staff shortages etc don't help. Generally, really pleased mom is in good hands Thank you.

My mother moved into this care home in March 2017. The food served at all times was of a very high standard and always beautifully presented. Homemade cakes were always available in the lounge for residents and relatives.

After a two-week stay in the hospital, my mother deteriorated but in her last few weeks in the care home, the staff were extremely caring and loving. I shall be eternally grateful to the amazing carers who sat with her and looked after her.

I am happy living here, the food is excellent and I have a hobby colouring. I get other residents interested in the colouring. Staff are brilliant, always there when I need them. They always speak to me when passing my room. If I ask for anything, it's there for me.
