My mum went into Woodside just before the Covid outbreak, and everything shut down, it was a very difficult time and not being able to see mum was heartbreaking, when I did eventually see her, she looked so happy and had settled very well into her new home, she was very well cared for, looked well and nicely dressed and said she loved her new house, this made me very happy and reassured me that I had made the right decision in choosing Woodside for her new home.
The staff and management were very good, kind and approachable, if I had any concerns, I came to think of them as extended family and Mum loved her time there with her little household of residents.
The set up of Woodside into small households is a wonderful concept, with the added bonus of lovely gardens and a village-type set-up. Thank you for making the last few years of my beautiful, kind mum’s life very happy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review - we really appreciate your wonderful feedback and it was our pleasure caring for your mum. I've shared your comments with the team.
The care staff ensure that families are kept up to date and welcoming.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and your lovely feedback. I'll share your comments with the team. Best wishes.
My mother has been at Woodside since it opened in December 2019. As her health has deteriorated over the years, and her needs have changed, Woodside have supported us along the way. They listen to feedback and act accordingly. It is reassuring when you see familiar care staff on your household when visiting, as a rapport can be maintained. The management team are always looking for ways to improve, adapt and cater for all needs and it is lovely to see a friendly face on the concierge desk. The facilities are great and regular relative meetings are scheduled to give families a chance to meet other relatives and catch up on what's going on. This also is a great forum to raise any issues, but this can also be done in a dedicated review with the team leader instead. Also, a quick shout out to the gardener who does an amazing job keeping everything looking fabulous and the lady who takes care of the resident's cash accounts, which makes our lives a lot easier.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and for your kind words - it really means a lot to us when we get a positive affirmation of what we do. I'll share your comments with the rest of the team, who I know will appreciate hearing your feedback. Best wishes.
I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Especially the staff that work in the definitely independent unit.
Thank you so much for leaving us a review. We really appreciate your feedback. Best wishes.
The home in question has good services, staff are genuinely polite, my father is blind, sometimes we need help to bring my brother home for family time, at times this has been troublesome to arrange, mainly because of staffing issues. My brother also fell from his bed at the end of January 2023, I saw the photo and the injury looked severe and only just missing his eye. Better planning and provision are required to protect sharp corners so this does not happen again.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us, we appreciate your feedback. I'd like to reassure you that our staffing levels are very good. I understand that you requested that a member of staff drive your brother home for a visit. As this is approximately a two-hour return journey, we...
Excellent care and facilities, very happy with care and support given.
Thank you very much for leaving us a review, we really appreciate your feedback. Best wishes.
Mum became a resident recently. She seems to have fitted in so quickly. Her general appearance has improved dramatically, and she is certainly benefiting from living with people around her. Her room is spotlessly clean, newly decorated and is her pride and joy. The carers are all wonderful. My only negative comment is the fingerprint entry system, which almost never works.
Thank you so much for leaving us a review. We're pleased you feel your mum's been settling in well since moving into her new home. I'll share your feedback with the rest of the team. Best wishes.
My dad came to the village at the beginning of August 2021 from hospital after a problem with walking, this was the first time I had been in this type of village. I was totally amazed by what I saw and so was Dad. My dad was looked after in every way possible by all the staff. There were no problems with visiting, even during his last days there. Many thanks from Dad and me.
Thank for you for leaving a review for us. We really do appreciate your lovely feedback. Best wishes.
Despite a shaky start when Mum was admitted a few days earlier than planned after suffering a fall, she is now settled and happy thanks to the incredible management team and staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble and we are constantly amazed at the kindness and professionalism of the staff. The wonderful way that the accommodation is arranged in separate households encourages residents to live as they would at home, except with the benefit of constant help and care. Over the past few weeks, I have seen Mum grow more confident and happy, making new friends and telling funny stories about life at Woodside Care Village (positive ones!). I would encourage anyone seeking care for their loved ones to look no further than Woodside Care Village.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us - we really do appreciate your feedback which I've shared with the rest of the team. It's our pleasure to look after your mum.
On all my visits the staff were lovely and welcoming and my father constantly said to me how well he was looked after.
In recent weeks my father’s health deteriorated and the care and compassion shown to him by staff were amazing and I was given daily updates of his condition. I cannot recommend this lovely Care Village enough and I will always be grateful to them for making my father’s last week special.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review for us - it was our pleasure to care for your father. I've passed on your comments to the rest of the team, who I know will appreciate your kind words. Best wishes.
The Management team were incredibly helpful in enabling the family to move our father into Woodside at short notice following his discharge from hospital. I viewed Woodside with my sister prior to his transfer from hospital and we were impressed with the Covid-19 precautions, the quality of the accommodation and all the facilities provided. We particularly liked the ethos of placing residents with other similar residents in individual “houses” comprising 6 service users sharing a generous and well-equipped sitting and dining area. Service users could maintain a degree of independence should they so wish. Communal facilities are impressive and everywhere looks well maintained. The building being new, incorporates all the latest assistive technology. However, what makes Woodside so special is the professionalism of the management team and the enthusiastic and caring staff. We cannot thank them enough for helping at a time of family stress.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for us - we really appreciate your kind words which I've shared with the rest of the team. Very best wishes.
After 3 months of being very unsettled, my friend eventually began to feel at home, pretty content and delighted to be with new friends, kind and caring staff and a 'home' atmosphere. I know he enjoys good food and really has fun when the village arranges an entertainments session. Every week sees him enjoy his new life more and more, whilst I can now relax more and more knowing he is in excellent hands! Living with dementia has taken my friend to a new level of happiness since arriving at Woodside Care Village.
Thank you for your review. Moving into a care home is a big change and we know that it can take some time for residents to settle and family and friends to also adjust to this big change. We appreciate your kind words and understanding of the process of adjustment. I've passed your comments on to the rest of the team who I know, will appreciate your feedback. Kind regards.
What a relief to find this wonderful place for my relative. Everyone has been unfailingly kind and encouraging, and this has helped her when she was settling in. Residents and their friends are consulted regularly about any developments. The environment is beautiful and stimulating. So glad we're here.
My husband moved into Woodside just before Christmas last year. A very difficult transition was awaiting the family as it was a shock to all of us to learn he needed 24 hr care. The staff at Woodside and the whole ethos and atmosphere of the place made the move so much easier. The care and attention is excellent and Woodside has become our extended family.
The whole set up regarding the village is amazing, from the cleaners right through to management. Friendly, very helpful, professional. Best thing myself and my brother decided to do. Carry on with the great work you all do.
I have found that Woodside is an excellent facility. I cannot fault it. If only other care home facilities followed Woodside qualities the care community would benefit greatly.
