My husband moved to Bramble Lodge aged 54 years, initially for respite care but this soon became a permanent arrangement. We, meaning my husband, myself and family have always been very happy with the welcome, the care, support and professionalism of the team from managers, carers, cleaning and kitchen staff. I visit most days and at various times of the day and see the daily running of the home and feel ALL staff are kind, caring, respectful and help provide a safe, caring, secure environment for my husband and his family.

Thanks again to the staff and residents of Bramble Lodge for supporting this year's 2019 Remembrance Service at West Hallam. Placing your poppy garlands and wreath is always much appreciated by the Friends of the West Hallam Memorial Group. In supporting our community projects we feel that the residents are always remembered as valuable members of our village.

My grandad decided to move into a care home when he started to have more difficulty at home, as his health had deteriorated. They tried carers at home but it wasn't enough for him to feel safe so we found a place for him at Bramble Lodge. He looked 100 times better in just a couple of days and his usual joking personality returned. The staff cared for him like he was their own grandad which was so lovely to see.

My grandma went to Bramble Lodge for daycare for several months. She was anxious about leaving my grandad due to her Alzheimer's but staff were always so kind and welcoming that she started to look forward to it. They helped her to shower and manage her catheter and were helpful and caring towards my grandad too, which really put him at ease each week.

My Mother is currently resident at Bramble Lodge and a few years ago my Mother-in-law was there too. We had no hesitation in choosing it for Mum. She has dementia and the staff and environment are so good for people with this condition. Everywhere is clean and bright and we are always made welcome. There are lots of activities - something for everyone. A great place for all.

My mum went into Bramble Lodge for respite care following a stay in hospital for a broken hip. She was understandably reluctant to go but could not return home at that point.

Her room was spacious, comfortable and private. She was able to have her own tv for when she wanted her own space but was always welcome to go to the communal areas where there was a variety of activities available if she felt she wanted to.

The staff were all lovely and couldn’t do enough for her. We felt confident that she was being looked after and her complex medical needs were being met. We also felt confident that she was safe and secure as security measures were in place to stop anyone wandering away.

The home has a lovely warm and relaxed atmosphere and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to review our home. One of our main aims is to provide a secure environment for our residents, their carers, relatives and friends. We are pleased that we were able to do this for your mum and yet still maintain a homely atmosphere that we are very proud of.

My friend who had dementia was resident at Bramble Lodge for about six months. I cannot praise too highly the level of care she received from all the staff. Her personal needs were catered for and adapted as her health deteriorated.
The gardens are delightful and provided interest for my friend who was a keen gardener when I took her around them in a wheelchair.

The food is good. The programme of activities is very good and when my friend was no longer able to participate she received one-to-one interaction instead.

When my friend died, the staff did all they could to make us feel cared for as well. We were not pressured into clearing my friend's room, it was all taken care of for us.

This is a lovely home. Thank you

Thank you Jo for your kind words. The management and staff work extremely hard to provide a high level of care and a comfortable environment to meet the needs of residents and families at this difficult point in their lives. We are glad that we met with your approval and thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.
