I have found the care home excellent in every way.
The staff efficient and very friendly. The home very clean. Food good.
My mum has only been there two weeks, but the difference it has made to her is marvellous. She has been cared for and has been taken out.
I cannot praise this home enough.

Codnor Park was home from home for Grandpa for the majority of 2023 until he passed away. They cared for him with respect, dignity and love. I was very nervous of Grandpa going into care having never experienced it with a relative before but the whole experience was made easy by the great team at Codnor
Park.
Grandpa was a real cheeky chappie but due to dementia his behaviour could be challenging at times but the staff took it all in their stride and were amazing with.
In his final days, the love and care they gave Grandpa I will forever be grateful for along with the support they gave me as I sat at his side.

I find that the home provides excellent care and creates a calm relaxing environment of which we feel very happy for our mother to stay in.
We find the staff are lovely, caring and attentive.

Great team of people, very caring and attentive. I feel very lucky that this place is only a stone’s throw away from where I live, as not only is it very convenient for visiting my mother, but the quality of care, accommodation, food and people are very high. There’s always someone on hand to speak
with if there are any concerns, which are actioned as soon as possible.
Codnor Park provides regular entertainment and outdoor trips for residents, which provides wonderful distractions.
Whenever I visit, there’s always a smile with a greeting from all.
Codnor Park is a great option, and would highly recommend viewing or even a trial stay.

My dad came to Codnor Park Residential Home in January.
I have found the home very welcoming and staff have always had time to talk and listen to any worries or concerns.
It is a huge change for us as a family and having the reassurance that my dad is as happy as he can be and well looked after is

Our mother has been a resident at the home for the past four months. Initially, we had a few concerns, but these were promptly addressed with the arrival of a new staff team shortly after our mother’s admission.
My sister and I make it a point to visit our mother most days, and during these visits,
we interact with other residents. We feel as though we are part of the Codnor Park Residential Home family. The home provides a broad array of activities for the residents, ensuring there’s something to suit everyone’s interests.
We actively engage in the home’s resident and relative meetings, advocating not just for our mother, but for all residents. We value the fact that the senior staff take our suggestions into account and implement them.
I would strongly encourage other relatives of residents to actively participate in these meetings when they are held. It has proven to be beneficial for the home’s ongoing improvement program. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

My mother spent 14 months at Codnor Park until she died. Throughout her stay, all the staff were kind, considerate and patient in dealing with her. The home was professionally run and that culture was demonstrated by everyone involved. From a relative’s perspective, they were always open, helpful and
supportive. In her final days, the staff showed great compassion and love which came from the heart demonstrating that it was more than just a job. They’d become really close to her and I know she appreciated that. As a relative of someone approaching the end, I was really grateful for the supportive way they helped me and my family. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble! I have no hesitation in recommending Codnor Park to anyone.

My mum had two weeks of respite care and absolutely loved it. The staff are so nice and also loved the food. My mum is coming back in for one month in the middle of July and is happy to be returning so that proves how good the place is. Thanks for everything.

I have been very impressed with all the staff at the home. They are friendly and will do anything they can to ensure the resident feels at home. Excellent interactions and activities are provided and brilliant opportunities and trips are available. Superb! Highly recommend.

Codnor Park Residential Home is a modern clean building. The staff are caring and attentive and my mother is very happy there. My mum doesn't tell me much about what goes on when I'm not there because she has dementia so I can't really say any more.

A bit disappointed with the caring and handling.
Carers pointing fingers at you when talking and using the human rights act without knowing very well what intel (sound as if it's an excuse not to do the job). The resident in question was scared of saying or complaining because it could reflect on the
caring. Was promised a shower every other day, and ended up having one a week, when so. Staff was asked to clean and check some bits in the bedroom of the resident and the answer to that (it was not that important). Even when staff were friendly, communication with the family and answers to information was nearly non-existing, including the next of kin. They were very understanding and caring just at the time the resident was passing away, and the whole family do appreciate that very much. It was the only part of the process that was done smoothly, sadly enough.

My dad moved into Codnor Park in October 21. It was the hardest, most upsetting decision to admit I could no longer care for him myself. But it was also the best decision. Codnor Park is a wonderful, friendly home from home, and the staff treat Dad like one of their own loved ones. They always make
me feel so welcome and keep me well informed as to Dad's health/progress. I would recommend this care home to everyone.

My wonderful dad had been a resident of Codnor Park Residential Home. Sadly he passed away this week. The care and love shown to him was nothing less than outstanding. Each and every single member of staff should be extremely proud of themselves. We spent a lot of time there during his last few days

I would just like to thank everyone at Codnor Park Residential Home for how they looked after my dad for a year, he passed away yesterday and the compassion from every single member of staff was truly amazing, they treated Dad like one of their own, they really did.

I love the feeling of going home knowing that something that I have been able to do has had a massive positive impact on the people living in our home.


The residents drive my passion. I have so much love for them, seeing them smile and enjoy living at the home and being able to support people who are on end of life care, knowing that you have provided exactly what they have needed in that time.


I often forget I’m at work because it feels like home. The people around are like family and I love them all dearly.
One day we will be old and I’d like to know that there is someone to fight for me the way I fight for them.
