My father moved in earlier this year with my mother, who sadly died shortly afterwards. The care and support shown by the staff throughout has been nothing short of exemplary. I live quite some distance away and it is a great help knowing how well my father is being looked after, especially given the current environment.

Thank you!

Looked after well, good selection of food.

Able to visit half-hour slot time which is very well prepared for during the virus. Thank you all the staff for their hard work at this time.

I have always found the staff to be helpful to me and caring, happy and professional with the residents. The home is clean and well organised a friendly atmosphere. I have been impressed by the level of protection given to the residents and the organisation of visiting times during this coronavirus pandemic.

Very pleased with the care that my mother receives. Impressed with the way that Codnor Park has dealt with the Covid-19 issues avoiding the problems of other care homes. The visiting arrangements have worked out well. Overall very pleased with Codnor Park and the way that my mother is cared for.

I went for a visit to see my mum, happy with how they are handling the PPE for visits and that we get to have 1to1 without others around. The staff are very polite and nice with mum and me.

My wife is being well cared for in a clean, friendly environment. The staff is kind and attentive and in normal times there are plenty of activities to keep residents entertained. The food is very good. precautions taken during the COVID-19 pandemic have been excellent. My only complaint is the vast difference in fees paid between the local authority and self-funding residents.

My gran means the world to me and it is a huge comfort to know that she is being looked after in a safe, clean and warm environment.

Having understanding staff is most important. The staff are always welcoming and bringing my daughter to see my gran often generates interests from other residents and it is just like having lots of grans and granddads! It is certainly a home-from-home atmosphere and the activities keep the residents engaged and happy. Thank you.

Mum has only been at Codnor Park Residential Home since early January, but she has been very happy with the care she has received. Unfortunately, she has not had the opportunity to experience all the home has to offer as yet.

Having to put my Mammar in respite, I was so nervous but the staff reassured me everything was okay. As soon as I arrived my Mammar was greeted with a warm meal and comfort. The staff were very helpful, a lovely, clean environment. I visited her a few days later and she was very settled and comfortable.

The members of staff got her involved in a sing and dance activity. They prompted/assisted in taking medication happily.

Impressed by the immediate attention we all received in arrival before entering the building and the professional and friendly treatment on entering the building. We found the atmosphere very home from home. The dining room is light and airy and the bedrooms very well decorated. Credit due to all the staff. Now I can relax knowing my mum is being well cared for.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. When I visit mum I know that I am always welcome, I can turn up at any time and the staff are always the same - welcoming.
My mother is very happy here and it's reassuring to know she is safe, warm, well-fed, cared for and secure.

It's difficult to put one's mum into care but the staff have made it easier by their positive attitude and natural caring ways.

I am Registered Manager of both Codnor Park Care Home and The Firs Nursing Home.

I love the feeling of going home knowing that something that I have been able to do has had a massive positive impact on the people living in our home.

The residents drive my passion. I have so much love for them, seeing them smile and enjoy living at the home and being able to support people who are on end of life care, knowing that you have provided exactly what they have needed in that time.

I often forget I’m at work because it feels like home. The people around are like family and I love them all dearly.

One day we will be old and I’d like to know that there is someone to fight for me the way I fight for them.

Hi, I’m Phoebe! I absolutely love having a good chat and getting to know the families and individuals I help. My goal is to make the process of finding the right home as easy and reassuring as possible.

This is something close to my heart — I’ve had two of my own family members stay within our group, so I truly understand how important it is to feel confident and comfortable in your choice.

If you call us during the week, chances are you’ll get me on the other end of the phone. I’m always happy to answer any questions you have — and if I don’t know the answer right away, I’ll make it my mission to find out for you. I’ll be here for you every step of the way, making sure you feel supported, listened to, and at ease.
