My mother recently celebrated her 100th birthday at the care home. The help and assistance provided by the staff was exceptional and their contribution ensured that everyone concerned has a wonderful celebration.

Visiting my Husband six days a week I always feel welcome, very often with a cup of tea/coffee and a smile and a laugh with members of staff.

We're delighted with the care Mum is receiving, she appears to be much more like herself these days, much brighter and alert. We were particularly pleased that she participated in a trip to the cinema this week. Although she couldn't hear the soundtrack, getting out is a major step forward. Hopefully, she'll get out again as the weather improves.

Mum has been here at Smalley Hall for over three years. Although her walking and dementia prevent her getting out much now she regularly enjoys internal events. The staff work hard and always try to make it a good time for the residents. The food and facilities appear ok, with some recent refurbishment. All in all Smalley Hall Residential Home can be recommended.

As a family friend of one of the service users at Smalley Hall, I have always found the overall care to be above standard. The care shown to service users is of respect, dignity and understanding. The care home is always clean and visitors are always made to feel welcome. I would recommend this home to any future families.

I always find the staff absolutely brilliant. They are welcoming and helpful at all times. The home is spotlessly clean and smells good. All the residents are well cared for even when they can be demanding. I have nothing but good impressions and am always telling people how good it is.

Upon arrival, the staff were very welcoming. It's noticeable that service users did not want for anything. The building was extremely clean and the staff always kept coming back to visitors to see if we needed or wanted anything. I would highly recommend Smalley Hall to anyone.

Lovely residence, very friendly (consider part of the family) now.
Excellent staff only too willing to help if extra help needed.
Nothing is too much trouble.
Lovely food.
Lovely entertainment.
Great activities.
Mum has been in three years and seems very settled.
She didn't like mixing with people at her home. But now joins in with most of the activities and has now got one or two close friends.
Mum suffers from dementia and sometimes gets muddled up and distressed.
But staff always try to help and reassure her in any way they can which isn't always easy.

Great home and welcoming staff and management.

The home sets the residents at the centre of their culture. The home is cheerful, well maintained, spotlessly clean with good food and entertainment.
Each resident is well cared for and receives love and attention.

They appear to invest continually in the property.

An excellent establishment providing me with care, respect and love. As a vulnerable lady in her 90s, it's comforting to know that I can rely on the care around me. The professionalism of the staff is second to none and the parent company seem to be continually investing in the home. I feel safe.

My brother and I recently went to Smalley Hall for V-E day celebrations and it was great. All the residents including my mum really enjoyed it. My mum recently went into Smalley Hall for respite and decided to stay because she loves it. We couldn't ask for better and friendly care. It was difficult to find the right home for my mum but as soon as we walked into Smalley Hall we knew it was the right choice. I would highly recommend.

My mother-in-law has lived with us for 15 years and now has dementia, so over the years we have gone to many care homes for respite care when we go away, but our needs had changed and this time due to dementia. When we arrived to pick mum up 17 days later normally she is agitated and tearful, but this time didn't want to come home! The care she has been given has been amazing all the staff are so friendly and any special requests they will do their best to provide, they have activities every day if they wish, and a cat and dog which mum would like. I will not be searching for anywhere else next holiday this is a first class home with first class staff.

Mum stayed at Smalley Hall Residential Home for the first time for 12 days having dementia she is normally very agitated when we collect her from respite but on this occasion, she was calm and relaxed. We would hope to use them again in the future.
