From the moment we came to look around, we were made to feel so welcome, we knew we wanted our dad to come and stay. It is such a happy, friendly home and lovely atmosphere.

My mum has lived at Brimington Care Home since July 2022. After all the stress beforehand when she lived on her own, the care home was a lovely respite. I am totally at ease and stress-free since my mum came here. The staff are superb, warm and friendly. It's a lovely place to be for my mum and me when I visit! I couldn't wish for a better place! Grand!

As I am fairly "new" to having my partner in care, I assume it is 'good value for money'. I am sure that my partner would not have better care in any other residential setting.
Staff are very caring and work well as a team. The menus look good and the dining tables are always set appropriately. I am always offered a cup of tea whenever I visit and all the staff are welcoming.

The activities therapist is a key member of the team and arranges outings for residents as appropriate plus indoor activities, games, musical events etc.

I live far away from my mother in Australia. Being able to visit my mother for the month of May has been wonderful. Seeing first-hand how happy she is and settled, I know I can go to Australia reassured.
The staff go above and beyond to make sure the residents have what they need are treated with dignity, are comfortable and are fed well.

During my visits, I have been warmly welcomed by friendly staff. I couldn't have asked for more.

This was my stepfather's second home and he settled in so well. The staff are brilliant, from the carers to the office staff and management. Special mention to the activity organiser, who is always posting on social media, what games and activities the residents are doing (which is always plenty). It's great to see our loved ones looked after like we would look after them ourselves, with so much love and respect. Well done to everyone at the home, a review that warrants the highest praise.

The manager and staff at Brimington Care Home have been providing excellent care for my mum for the last two years. The home has a very welcoming and warm atmosphere with nothing being too much trouble for the staff. As a very grateful daughter, I would highly recommend this home. Thank you to everyone.

The care home is warm and welcoming. Staff have been supportive and understanding to mum and her family during the period of transition from home to care home.
The home is always clean and warm and has a really cheerful atmosphere. Meals are cooked onsite with a varied menu. There is always something to entertain, singing, bingo, and an activity organiser. A hairdresser visits weekly.
Moving mum into a care home has been difficult for the family but we don't feel we could have found a more suitable environment.

Can't thank the staff enough.

Although my mum has only been in this care home for a few days, I felt compelled to write a review, as from the first time my sister and I popped our heads into the care home, unannounced, to now, I have absolutely nothing but praise for the home, the manager, and all her staff. They make this home into a very caring home, where nothing is too much trouble and they bend over backwards to make sure Mum is happy. I feel very relieved to have been fortunate enough for Mum to come here, now her dementia has got more challenging and I feel like we have welcomed a whole new family into our lives, when they welcomed Mum into their home. It is clean, comfortable, genuinely caring, great food according to Mum and loads of activities and lots of staff. Keep up the good work. You are ace.

The manager is supportive and empathetic. She identified an ideal room for mum, it was decorated to suit her and we were able to personalise it. The cost of £1000 a week is expensive, although it could accommodate two people (self-funded). All the staff seem to work together well and they are very friendly and approachable. They listen and respond to any queries I may have. Staff interactions with mum seem genuine and very caring. She is happy to see them and is comfortable receiving personal care. Mum choses to stay in her room and the activities coordinator spends time with her.

When Mum's Alzheimer's/Dementia which became rapidly worse, I found that carers weren't enough to keep her safe. I visited a couple of homes but couldn't envisage Mum in any of them as she's still relatively young (77 years) until I got to see the manager at Brimington Care Home. I was in awe of the place, it seemed so lively, felt full of love and I could see straight away that the staff really cared. Both the manager and deputy manager came to Sheffield to assess Mum in her home and Mum agreed to give the home a go. A week later she was in and from the first hour there, I could see she felt at home. The staff are all wonderful, there is a real family atmosphere to the place and when I visit, everyone makes me feel at home too. Mum never asks to go back to her home, she is unable to express much in words but I can tell she is happy. Since May 2021 Mum now has company and friends and I no longer have the stress about Mum's welfare.

This care home is full of the nicest, most caring people you could wish to meet. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to help to make the residents feel happy and cared for.
I would highly recommend this lovely care home to anyone considering the very difficult process of placing a loved one in care.

The management and staff at this home are absolutely incredible. The care my Father received was faultless and all staff members we came into contact with treated him with such compassion and kindness. This is a truly wonderful home run by an amazing group of people.

When my Mum’s dementia deteriorated to the stage where she was no longer safe at home we had to look for somewhere where we felt comfortable to place her. From the first visit, the lady who showed us around made me feel that this was the right place, and we never looked back. Any concerns and these were very few, were dealt with straight away and we always felt that mum was safe and cared for. My mum lived in Brimington Care Centre for just over 4 years and sadly passed away on Christmas Day. I never once regretted choosing this home. Mum was looked after with love, dignity and respect, and all her needs met to the best of their ability. The staff team are friendly, professional, caring and well-led and it was always a pleasure to visit. On the day mum died we were so well looked after, nothing was too much trouble. Brimington Care Centre is not just a care home, it is a family through and through and I would highly recommend it, especially for people with dementia.

Postive and detailed informatory on Facebook regarding covid-19 visits arrangements. On the day, greeted in a friendly and professional manner and guided through the visit to see Mum. Mum was in good humour and got on very well with the carer dedicated to my visits. A good visit, I loved it!

We would like to congratulate Brimington Care Home and all the amazing staff for the professional and caring manner in which they have dealt with covid-19. The test results were an example of this! I know my mum is safe and in excellent care because she's still singing. The staff know exactly how to help Mum and recognise her needs as well as the other residents. They work as a team and a family, and this is a credit to every one of the staff. Thank you.

My Mum went into this care home in February 2020, initially for three weeks respite. I had been my Mum's main carer for the past 6 years and found it very difficult to place Mum in full-time care. I work in a specialist palliative care unit and my standards are very high. As soon as I entered this home I felt the love. I knew instantly this was the place for Mum to spend the rest of her time left. This home excels. The care, love, respect, and dignity for Mum is 100%. During the lockdown, they have all gone above and beyond to care for my Mum and keep her safe, even admin staff.

from the first time we walked through the door with my Father, we have been overwhelmed by the care and friendliness shown by every single staff member at Brimington Care Home, not only for my Dad but also for my Mum as well. As a family, we love visiting Dad. There is space to socialise with a beautiful garden at the back which will be lovely to sit out in on warmer days.

Mum came into Brimington Care Home from the hospital after being treated for fractured vertebrae in her back. She was struggling to move and walk the day she arrived. By the end of the three weeks respite, she was almost back to her normal self, walking alone and toileting independently. This is all thanks to the kind, attentive staff at Brimington Care Home. It has a friendly, clean, bright atmosphere resembling a homely home rather than a care home. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and I want to thank them all for giving mum the confidence to be herself. Mum enjoyed her time here but is happy to be back home.
