Douglas Court is an exceptional home. I could not have wished for better care for my dad during his time there.

The manager and all of the staff are wonderful people, nothing was ever too much trouble and they showed my dad not only care, but love and respect. I will be forever in their debt.

Making the decision to move grandad into a home was a heartbreaking decision for the whole family. Douglas Court made him welcome and made the transition for him as easy as they could. As his condition deteriorated they worked so hard to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. They are a fantastic care home and I will be forever grateful for the care they took of him and us!

Nice, friendly home. Staff are down to earth. The staff show dignity and respect to all the residents.

Plenty to eat and drink and also lots of activities.

p.s. I am going to book my room for when I need it. That's the home I would like to be in.

There is always a happy, relaxed atmosphere, whatever time you visit.

Staff are happy to answer any questions and see to know the residents well. My grandma loves it here. Her room is bright and welcoming with lovely furniture. Always lots of activities for the residents to take part in. Lovely garden area. Dietary requirements are well catered for.

We visited other homes before my sister came here and all were nothing in comparison for Douglas Court. Firstly there is no smell because it's constantly cleaned. Their staff are all so kind and considerate. The food is excellent I can't fault it.

We delayed my mother having to go into a care home for as long as we could so that she would have her own independence. But with her dementia growing worse and a few serious accidents, we had to relinquish to the truth that she needed 24hour care. I was a bit concerned about a home with what you read and see on the news. The staff are like an extended family to us and take extreme care to, not just my mother, but all in the home. After 4 months I can say they are the same as day 1 100% committed to the "guests".

My friend has been at Douglas Court for four years and throughout that time I have always had peace of mind that she is being very well looked after and cared for with the emphasis on care. The home is spotlessly clean and the food is excellent. I am grateful that when she needed it, there was a room available for her at Douglas Court.

My father was admitted to Douglas Court near the end of December 2016, after a sudden deterioration in his condition. We were all very upset on that morning but were met with kindness and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble for all of the staff. We have been very impressed with all the care and patience shown to all of the residents.

Douglas Court is a warm, homely place. Everything has been done to help my father settle in and all his needs have been met. My family and I are made to feel most welcome when we visit dad. They always offer us a cup of tea or coffee, everyone is so kind.

Douglas Court is an excellent facility, the staff are very friendly and approachable and genuinely care about the residents. Communication between Douglas Court and the resident's families is very good and any concerns are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Family members that visit are made to feel at home. The home is clean and very well run and most important of all the residents seem very happy and content.
