Hadrian House is situated in a quiet village of Thurmaston, where residents benefit greatly from staying in such a location with many local shops and amenities just a short walk away. This purpose-built care home allows maximum ease of access and comfort for all residents. Specialising in residential, dementia and respite care to name a few.

The Home has four lounges, light and modern dining room and bathrooms designed for easily access. Car parking facilities for visiting family and friends as well as large surrounding gardens which are secured for residents to enjoy. Regular supervised entertainment and activities either as a group or on a one-to-one basis if needed.

On behalf of all our family, we would like to thank all of the staff at Hadrian House Care Home for their kindness, thoughtfulness and expertise in caring for our mother.
During our mother's stay at Hadrian House, the staff cared and dealt with Mum's needs with as much care and passion as we the family
would have provided, except they did it with much more knowledge, expertise and the necessary medical care she needed.
The staff are always willing to go that extra mile and it fills you with the confidence that you knew she was in good hands.
From the lovely meals provided each day through to staff taking the time to Facetime us with Mum during the afternoons – we always felt confident of the level of care.
We feel sure that after many visits this level of care was not just afforded to our mum but to all the residents, simply put, this is, without doubt, a level of care that is above and beyond.
Our thanks go to the manager and all her staff.

I cannot fault the staff at Hadrian House. My mother-in-law came here back in February 2018 on respite originally. She has always been looked after and treated with respect. All the staff go the extra mile to make sure she is cared for. Nothing is too much trouble, and even during these difficult times,
the care has been exceptional with the staff all making sure the residents are happy and well cared for. The staff are considerate and will do anything to make life pleasant for the residents. The food there is good, the rooms comfortable and staff are on hand to help. They are alert and have the residents best interests at heart. They all work so hard and are a credit to the home.

My mother has been a resident here for some time. She has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. She is not easy to care for as she is very strong-willed to say the least. The staff here have been amazing with her and, despite her feistiness, have been excellent with her and manage to keep her distracted.
She is always clean and tidy and appears happy. As she does not know us anymore this is very important to me. I live in Wales and have health issues of my own but they are always willing to talk to me when I phone and keep in contact with me about any issues that may have arisen. During the Covid-19 outbreak, they have contacted me every couple of days to assure me that she is fine and how they are taken all possible precautions to avoid spreading the virus. I can't praise the staff enough on how well I feel they have been looking after my mum.

Mum has been in Hadrian House for 2 years and is very happy there. The staff are always cheerful, friendly and treat residents with dignity. During the ongoing coronavirus (and before) this care home have impressed me with their care. The home is currently on a shutdown, informing me asap that this was going to happen. I was very relieved that they were acting so speedily to this threat to our elderly folk. Since this news, they have
called me probably every couple of days to reassure me that my stepfather was doing well and there was nothing to be worried about. Even if I am not available they leave me a message to do this, which I greatly appreciate at this very difficult time.
I have found them to be very approachable and friendly and they are always willing to listen to any concerns and to act promptly to ensure that it's been resolved. It is so important to have trust in the carers of your loved ones.
The home itself is bright and has a happy atmosphere, it always seems pleasant.

My mum has been resident here for around 15 months; the staff do a great job generally but at the moment with the Covid-19 virus weirdness going on, I can wholeheartedly say that all the staff have gone above and beyond to try and keep the residents entertained and happy. I love the photos that the
activities coordinator puts on social media; it's keeping us in touch with them and what they've been up to. I'm getting regular updates from the seniors to say how mum is doing.
Although it's been hard not seeing mum personally I know she's in safe hands and am therefore not worrying as much; the decision to close the home to visitors was also made before government guidelines and was very much the right thing to do. Keep up the good work, peeps!

Mum has been at Hadrian House for 3 years and she has been very well looked after and cared for. We are always made welcome when we visit and the staff are very caring towards mum. Obviously, we can't visit at the moment due to the Covid-19 and these are stressful times for staff and families. But the
home is keeping us informed of mums wellbeing frequently and that is all we can ask. She is in good hands and we appreciate what the staff are doing. Thank you.

My mum has now been a resident at Hadrian House for 6 months. She has dementia and it has been a very difficult time for Her and the family. The home has been great with my Mum and made her as comfortable as possible. I have visited my Mum at different times and on different days and there are always
plenty of staff available to help the residents. I have enormous respect for the carers at the home and the treat my Mum with kindness, sympathy and respect.

The manager is very very rude and uninterested in any problems.
Staff don't communicate with each other.
Wish mum had never been placed here.
Awful place for dementia patients.

My Mum has Alzheimer's so needs watching and stimulating. She has settled in very well. The staff are excellent with the residents who sometimes need a bit of enticing to join in but enjoy themselves when they’ve made the effort. There are also organised trips for them to go on, which makes a change
of scenery for them. The staff are excellent, everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. It is a pleasure to visit in this home. In fact, my mum's friends and relations including myself, look forward to the visits. Would recommend to anyone.

My husband had been in a care home previously so I knew what I was looking for and it became clear when I walked through the door at Hadrian House that it ticked all the boxes. I was shown around by one of the carers before I met the manager and nothing was hidden. Sitting in the manager's office
and seeing her deal with various residents who came in to discuss their worries, it was clear that this was a home managed by someone with the utmost professionalism and compassion. Once my husband was resident at the home, I and my family are always welcomed by friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble. My husband has Alzheimer's and the staff have had to deal with a lot of his behaviour problems and these have been dealt with extremely well. It was also clear during a recent emergency with my husband that the staff are knowledgeable and well trained to deal with emergencies. The home is clean and tidy and the staff work extremely hard. I have nothing but praise for Hadrian House.

I cannot recommend this care facility enough. Our mother has been at Hadrian House for the last 8 years. It has been happy, peaceful, caring and responsive to all her needs. She actually thrived on going there, after self-neglect at home. She put weight on, made friends and soon became part of conversations
again. Whilst there has been a turnover of staff, we have never found anything to complain about. These carers work incredibly hard, but they actually care, with the utmost professionalism and compassion to not only our mum but others there too.
As our mum enters her final days/hours in her home, we will be forever grateful to all the staff for their attitude and loving care towards her. I have felt blessed to know such a lovely bunch of staff.
Keep up the amazing work and don’t ever change.

The only issue I am aware of is when my grandmother's hearing aid went missing and nobody noticed. They still haven't been found or replaced, which frustrates me because I cannot communicate with her anymore and I treasure the conversations I had with my grandmother before. I learned so many things
and I cannot learn anything else as long as she has no hearing aid.

Absolutely brilliant! Obviously, care home staff are trained to deal with dementia as I have both mom and dad residing there and dad can be violent with the Alzheimer's. They have coped with a lot of his behaviour problems in the last month he has been there. Carers that actually care. Amazing!
