Lenthall House is situated in a quiet residential area near the centre of the historic town of Market Harborough. Residents benefit greatly from staying in such a well-placed location with many local shops and amenities just a short walk away. My mum now looks 10 years younger since moving into Lenthall House. She is eating properly for the first time in several years. The facility is clean and welcoming and there is good energy about the place. Her room is small with a sink and tv but there are lots of social spaces to sit around the home
which is great for my mum. The staff are helpful and friendly.

We chose this home for its clean airy and pleasant atmosphere. Mother arrived Jan 2018. My father-in-law moved in 3 months later. This was lovely as they knew each other and so spent time together, especially at meal times. It was great we could visit them together. They were both in their 90s but they
had very different needs, these were fully catered for with great care and compassion and kindness by all the staff. Mother was well entertained with crafts, quizzes and outings. Father preferred more solitude but enjoyed a good chat with his carers.


There was a happy family ambience for them both, with much good humour. The family were always made very welcome when visiting or calling and on video links. Sadly both have now passed on, in very different circumstances, the staff supporting both them and us and the extended family members throughout. I must emphasise the friendliness and family atmosphere. All of the staff at the home do a wonderful job, with understated professionalism.

During my aunties brief stay at Lenthall House, the care she received was exceptional. She was happy there and felt safe. The staff loved her and her feelings for them were mutual. The home is clean with no smell and there is always a warm welcome for visitors. Her end-of-life care was well-managed
and she died with dignity. Thank you all.

The staff were always helpful and polite, my brother enjoyed his short stay there and they managed to accommodate him at very short notice. The food was good and they were very helpful with his medication. A good all round experience for my brother's respite.

My mother was at Lenthall House for over 5 years and has been exceptionally well cared for, and was very happy every time we saw her either in person or on FaceTime, staff are so friendly and helpful and don’t mind how many times you ring, which in the last week has been a lot as at the grand age of
nearly 100 she, unfortunately, succumbed to her age. They kept us up to date on what was happening and Informed us immediately when she passed. We have been very impressed with the way they handled themselves and the problems. Thank you all very much.

Dad has lived at Lenthall for the last 15 months and during an extremely difficult and challenging time, he has been well cared for and looked after. The end of last year was a bit worrying with regards to staffing levels and staff turnover but the revised management team has changed things for the
better and the home feels relaxed and happy again. Dad is contented at Lenthall House and is treated kindly. I am always made to feel welcome and the staff have lots of time for him and me and are always available to talk through any issues dad has.


In terms of decor, there are improvements to be made and the residents' lounge is currently undergoing a makeover. Dad's bedroom is basic but very clean and tidy and has been refloored recently.


Overall, Lenthall House has been a great choice :-)

My husband spent a number of weeks at Lenthall house on his journey to getting home from the hospital and I was able to visit regularly and saw firsthand how his days were spent and to meet and see all the staff working. During the time there, the improvement in his mobility and general well-being was
amazing; this was down to the wonderful care he received, the courtesy and dignity with which he was addressed, and the most appetising meals he enjoyed without fail. We both have sincere admiration for the team and our heartfelt thanks goes to them.

It is my view that care was poor for my mother. Her false teeth were often not cleaned properly or not in. Her hearing aids often had the need for batteries so not working.
When needing a doctor for the attention they seemed slow to respond.
Mother had 3 infections in a few weeks of being there, sadly
she died there.
Some staff confusion seemed apparent on my visits. I had the impression the care was very hit and miss and made representation to social services.

I have been visiting a friend at Lenthall House over the last few months. Initially window visits due to Covid and now we are able to go inside! Without exception, the staff and management have been absolutely amazing! Difficult times with Covid but they have all been so accommodating and understanding.
I can see how well looked after my friend is. He always looks relaxed, happy and well cared for. When we visited inside, everyone checked that we were OK every time they walked past and more importantly, they all interacted with my friend in such a lovely, friendly way! So much reassurance of the level of care! The home is clean, the activities are great, the care is first class, the staff are amazing! Thank you, you are all doing a fantastic job!

I have been visiting my aunt in Lenthall House for several years. During February 2021 whilst we are in lockdown, me coming to visit makes even more work for the senior carers as they have to carry out a rapid Covid test before I can see my aunt for a short time. They always do this in a very cheerful
manner, even though they must be far busier than ever.
My aunt is so happy there and very well looked after. It is good to know she is so well cared for and staff are doing all they can to keep Covid secure.

My mum has been a resident for a couple of years and has been looked after really well. Looking after someone with Alzheimer’s is a challenge but the staff have done it with love and compassion. Throughout Covid I have had numerous FaceTimes and pictures of her. I would not want her to be anywhere else,
I know she is happy and cared for by the amazing, tireless staff.

I have a family friend who has been a resident since 2015. The staff have always been great and done their best for him. They are always welcoming and also give regular updates about how he is. At the moment they are helping us stay connected to him by arranging video calls with him as at the moment
with the virus we can’t see him.

Over the past eight years, the home became Mum's 'home' and the caregivers and residents, her family. Mum sadly passed away on the 25th of October, but the care and consideration we received was amazing. Obviously, through lockdown, we were unable to visit, but received lovely pictures and videos of
Mum which were greatly appreciated. It was a relief to know she was safe and well cared for.

My father resided at Lenthall House for a little over a 1 and a half years as well as respite breaks prior to this. Lenthall staff are excellent and the genuine love and respect they provide is outstanding. Dad passed away on Friday 4th of September. I am forever grateful to all who cared for him so
well. I couldn't have asked for more.
