Oakleigh Residential Home is a 30 bed family run residential carehome, established in 1983 set in the heart of the National Forest providing long-term, day care or respite person-centred care for the elderly, physically disabled and those with dementia.

The aim is to provide tailored support in a safe, homely, happy environment to enable each individual to maintain their independence, achieve their aspirations and to enjoy each day.

Care is delivered by a team of professional, highly trained, long-serving staff who are dedicated to their role ensuring each individual is treated with dignity, respect, kindness, compassion and encouragement.

All food is home cooked and nutritious with various daily menu options available.

Regular activities and outings are promoted and clients encouraged to remain part of their community through assistance with access or by community groups visiting the home.

The Home has since January 2019 been undergoing refurbishment with a view to making the environment more dementia friendly for clients.

Ample Parking is provided.

CQC rated the service as GOOD during its latest inspection in December 2019.

Since mam has been a resident at Oakleigh she looks very well and content, her colour has returned. All staff are approachable and friendly. Good choices of food. No restrictions on visiting (I try to avoid meal times). Overall impression is that it an excellently run residential home that I would recommend
to anyone.

My mom initially came to Oakley from hospital in August for a convalescent stay. As she felt so safe, happy, so well cared for by wonderful staff and developed lovely relationships with other residents, and with so much activity going on around her, she decided to stay. We as a family feel relieved
and reassured to know that she is happy and safe and very well cared for, which is all that you want for your loved one. The house itself is very warm and welcoming with good clean on sweet rooms and communal areas.

My sister came to Oakleigh for respite after a hospital discharge in August and decided to stay permanently. The home is very homely. The staff are very friendly and caring towards all the residents and family members. The managers are very approachable and know the residents very well, being attentive
to their needs. My sister is very happy at Oakleigh. We have no concerns and are extremely happy she is here.

My father-in-law arrived here in March of this year. I must say, has settled in so well here.
His room is lovely and clean, as is the whole home.
The staff are extremely helpful and considerate and nothing is too much trouble.
And the care that Father-in-law receives is second to none. Definitely
the right place for his needs. Beautiful home.

Since Mum became a resident here she has thrived both physically and mentally. Her care from all staff is second to none. I cannot recommend all the benefits that staff provide highly enough. I find Mum happy each time we visit so all extremely confident and pleased with the care provided.

My mom came here in May after struggling to live at home on her own. As a family, we cannot recommend the place highly enough. The care home is well-maintained and very clean. All staff are very nice and helpful and see that my mum is happy and content and as a family we can rest and know that she is
