Myself I found the staff friendly and I find it is very clean and doesn't smell as opposed to the home my dad was in.

Since in new ownership the home has much improved. It is cleaner, the previous 'urinal' smell has now gone shortly after new owners took over. Thank you for giving the home an uplift. The rooms look a bit tired but appear comfortable. The staff are welcoming and kind. Thank you for your hard work.

Very good overall. The only problem, which I don't think can be resolved, is that they have to wait a long time to go to the toilet due to all wanting to go at the same time. Also some have to use a hoist. Activities are great and they have time for each person. Very good!

When I visited my mum on Thursday, 20th June, 2024, it was a very hot and sunny day, and I expected to find a fan in my mum's room, but there wasn't. My mum was saying that she was hot, despite both windows being open, so I had to go and ask for a fan to be put into my mum's room. It had been stated on the TV that it was going to be hot today and the day to follow, so I thought that fans would be put into the residents' rooms ready for this hot weather. Also on this visit, I found my mum to have sick all on her blouse she was wearing and sick all down the bed sheet; I don't know how long she had been like this for.

A very well-presented care home with very friendly staff. They gave my mother-in-law great care over the years who was blind and also had dementia. Food was well presented at meal times with staff in assistance. The room was always clean and tidy throughout her stay until she passed on 21/05/2024....

Went to see a friend and it was very easy to get there and the staff were very friendly and helpful to us all. Then we sat with him and he had his lunch, then we went to the lounge and we watched TV. Then we left to come back home.

It's not a pleasant thing to be putting a relative into care but the staff here were fantastic. They were on the ball and the level of service was second to none. The home was spotless and the food was excellent. Thank you to all staff and the adult social care manager who we dealt with.

I find this place unacceptable, sheets are dirty, commode hardly ever clean except if I ask them to. Very often when I visit the bed alarm is not on the bed. I had to clean her up as she had an accident in her pants, her bottom was so sore it was bleeding and when I asked them about it they said...

I want to say how well all staff and management have looked after my brother, over the last few months. They have all shown compassion and care not only to him, but to our family who live quite a way from Leicester, but have always been able to call for updates and whoever picks up the phone is...
Sadly my brother passed away yesterday with his daughter by his side (as she had been for several days). Everyone looked after him and her so well, especially one staff member and we thank her and all staff for everything they have done.

In 2021, I joined Kirklands Care as their Operations Manager, overseeing all of their care homes. Kirklands Care is a family-run business that shares my own beliefs about care and that the residents' care is of utmost priority, and this, for me, comes first. My love of spending time with the residents shines through my work, hearing their stories and having the ability to make a difference in their lives. Every resident I care for is treated how I would expect my family member to be cared for, which for me is with love, dignity and respect.
