Mum has been here for six days so she is still settling in. So far, I cannot fault the home or the staff - well done.

I came to Meadows Court for respite care and made the decision to stay. I enjoy living here and spending lots of time doing the activities. The food is lovely. You can always have fun with the staff and they never mind helping with whatever you need.

Mum has been a resident at Meadow's Court for 7 months having transferred from another care home due to a decline in her health. Since arriving she has been much happier in mood. She is allowed to move around freely and interacts with other residents and staff. Staff are pleasant and engage with residents. Mum can often be found enjoying a cup of tea with staff when they are sitting doing paperwork. Mum can sometimes be difficult due to her dementia, but staff manage her behaviour well and avoid conflict. She can often be found roaming the corridors, engaging with staff who are always pleasant.

Over the last six years since my mother has been in care here, I have enjoyed a nice time when I visited my mother. All of the staff from management to care staff and catering and domestic staff, have been very helpful, friendly and caring.

The overall quality of Meadow's Court is excellent. My mother loves being in this home. Prior to arriving at Meadow's Court, she was not eating. Within 2 days she was eating more than I saw her eating for the last 6 months. The staff and care given are excellent. The overall feeling in Meadow's Court is very welcoming. The management does a great job in making this care home what it is today.

On 27th April my dear Granny turned 100. She has a large family and we wanted to celebrate this wonderful achievement together.

The team at Meadows Court couldn’t have been more accommodating and helped to make her party a truly memorable occasion.

We would like to thank all of you for being wonderful hosts and for providing the lovely buffet. All of the guests commented on what a fantastic job you all did. They also commented on the home and how lovely and helpful the staff were.

Thank you for your kindness and lovely care shown to Granny. It means a great deal to all of us.

Although my father has only been in the home for 3 weeks, the service and care and support is first class. All the staff are very helpful and supportive, and my dad is receiving excellent care. The food choice is excellent and home made, and it looks lovely. Although my dad has only just lost his wife and home, everyone is included in helping him settle in and feel part of the home. Nothing is ever too much trouble and we look forward to spending time in this lovely home on a long term basis. I would highly recommend this home to anyone in a similar position.

Staff always kept me updated on any changes to my friend and the care she received at the end of her life was exceptional.

Every time we visit nan, the carers make an effort to stop and chat. Nan always has a smile when carers talk to her, the staff treat her amazingly.
The staff are very friendly and want nothing but the best for the residents.
Nan's needs are met with high standards of care and never go unnoticed.

Thank you.

My mother was admitted into an assessment bed having met with several members of staff. They are all very friendly and always speak to me. I feel welcome. The manager understands the situation that my brother and I are in. Having worked in the community as a district nurse for 28 years I was concerned about mother going into Meadows court, but having checked the CQC site and visited I believe that the home has been turned round and provides an excellent standard of care.

My name is Baljinder Kaur and I’ve been a registered manager at Meadows Court Care Home since January 2023. I am a very motivated, hardworking, reliable, honest, loyal person and a fast learner who can work well within a team or individually using my own initiative.

I am a professional who has successfully finished under graduation degree gaining a BA (Hons), NVQ 2 and 3 in Health Social Care with over 10 years’ experience. I am also currently doing a B.Sc in health and social care 3rd year (part-time on hold at the moment) whilst successful in my current employment as a Home Manager and fluent speaker in English, Hindi and Punjabi. I have good health and social care experience and transferable leadership and management skills to work flexibly in any environment.

My self-sufficiency and motivation always have led me to where I am, also I am not apprehensive about new challenges to achieve any opportunities undertaken.

I am passionate and have always enjoyed working with older people and I have a wealth of experience, knowledge and skill from my past roles. In my current role as home manager, I have already built up a good effective working relationship with staff, service users and their families. I can lead, motivate, supervise, support and assist the team to carry out their job roles to the best of their abilities. I can carry out full assessments and risk assessments on new and current service users. I have a good understanding of End-of-life care, Mental Health, MCA, Best interest decisions, Safeguarding, Notifications, Khloe’s, the Recruitment process, Challenging behaviour and Dementia. I have excellent knowledge on day to day-to-day operations of residential homes and the various audits that need to be carried out to ensure safety and effectiveness.

I can also work alongside professionals such as the Care Quality Commission and local authorities. I have worked my way from Care Assistant to senior care assistant, deputy manager and Home Manager. Having worked at every level has ensured I have a greater understanding of person-centred care and care planning. I am also trained in the safe handling of medication, safeguarding, moving and handling, care planning and many other trainings. I am very confident in liaising with GPs and all healthcare professionals. I am now looking to bring my wealth of experience and knowledge to my current position. Michelle Caisley
Michelle CaisleyJob Title:Operations ManagerJoined: 2021

I started my career in care as a Health Care Assistant and have progressed and worked my way up through the Health and Social Care Industry, working across many services such as mental health, learning disability, children's services and dementia nursing, reaching the position of Area Manager.

In 2021, I joined Kirklands Care as their Operations Manager, overseeing all of their care homes. Kirklands Care is a family-run business that shares my own beliefs about care and that the residents' care is of utmost priority, and this, for me, comes first. My love of spending time with the residents shines through my work, hearing their stories and having the ability to make a difference in their lives. Every resident I care for is treated how I would expect my family member to be cared for, which for me is with love, dignity and respect. My role allows me to work with families to take the pressure off whilst allowing them to feel their loved one is in a suitable environment, is safe and cared for.
