My mum had a very bad fall in October, the break to her leg was so bad, that she was bedbound for the last two months of her life, she died on 30th December 2015. The staff at Chater Lodge were so compassionate, patient and caring. She was on palliative care for eleven days before she died. The manager is really a credit to you and all the staff and the carer who sat with mum I cant thank them enough! Personally I've been in care for 26 years and don't think you could do better than Chater Lodge.
My husband has been a resident for four months and has received excellent care. He suffers from dementia and has been treated with respect and understanding. The home is clean and attractive - the individual rooms are well furnished and comfortable. The staff are caring, not only to the residents but also to family and visitors. The meals are presented in an attractive way with freshly cooked food and a good variety of dishes.

Meet the Team (8)

Hello. My name is Zoe, and I am the General Manager at Chater Lodge Care Home. I have worked in care settings since leaving school and have worked my way up from apprentice to my current management position. I joined Chater House in 2012 and was soon promoted to Deputy Manager, and then again to General Manager in 2017. I have nearly completed an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management. I take pride in ensuring the whole team provides high-quality care to all our residents, and I enjoy making people laugh and feeling loved.
I like taking on new challenges and learning all the time through new experiences and training. Outside of work, I like to spend my time keeping fit, walking my dogs and sitting in front of a fire reading about my favourite subject - Greek myths.

Hello. I am Mandy and 1 have worked in healthcare since 2000, gaining a wide range of care and nursing experience.
I joined Barchester in 2017, working at a home in Grantham as a Care Practitioner. In 2022 I transferred to Chater Lodge to become Deputy Manager and I am currently studying for a Level 5 Management qualification.
I love getting to know residents so I can make their days at our home as happy and comfortable as they can be.
Outside of work, my interests are cycling, keeping fit and spending time with my family.

Hello. I am Donna, the Administrator at Chater Lodge Care Home.
I joined the team in 2009 and have been proud to support the home for many years. Before working in care, I spent several years in a busy sales office in a customer service role, building the organisational and communication skills I use every day.My role includes finance, data analysis, recruitment and supporting families with the practical side of moving into our home. I love getting to know our residents and their loved ones, and I really value the warm, family atmosphere we have here at Chater Lodge.
I’m known for being energetic and cheerful; outside of work I enjoy gardening and walking my dog.

Hello. I am Maria and I have lived in Ketton for most of my life.
I worked at the local primary school before joining Chater Lodge in 2019. My first role here was as a Dining Host and have now found my passion in creating an interesting and inclusive programme of activities for all our residents. I like having fun with residents, dressing up, singing songs and celebrating special events. I love being a part of the team here and my career change to Activities Coordinator is the best thing I have ever done.

Hello, my name is Marta and I am the Head Chef at Chater Lodge. I have worked at Chater Lodge since 2018.
Cooking is my passion and has been for many years.
I ensure each resident enjoys tasty and nutritious food. I regularly speak to our residents to ensure the menu meets their tastes and requirements.

Tinumol is a Senior Carer at Chater Lodge and takes great pride in delivering care to our residents.
She shows compassion in every aspect of her role and loves to spend time with our residents.
In her spare time Tinumol loves to cook and this is a huge passion for her.

My name is Anthony but everyone calls me Tony, I am Head of Maintenance here at Chater Lodge. I have been working at Chater Lodge since January 2023. I work closely with both the General Manager and Deputy Manager to make changes within the home that will benefit our residents.
In my spare time, I am part of an amateur dramatics group and enjoy singing various songs, I was also part of a 'Rat pack' group, you will often find me singing to keep our residents entertained.

Michael came to Chater Lodge in the summer of 2023, looking for his own care needs he was apprehensive about coming into a care home, initially he came to Chater Lodge for a short stay and then quickly fell in love with the home, its residents and colleagues that he decided to make Chater his home.
Michael was a Major in the British Army for over 40 years and has had so many life experiences in that time and lived in a variety of locations. He says that since the passing of Irene his loving Wife, he has found the new friendships he has forged at Chater Lodge have helped him with his grief.
Michael is so proud to have become the homes Resident Ambassador and is delighted to be given the opportunity to represent our home.
