My husband and I were "admitted" to Digby Court for "emergency" respite care after inpatient treatment via A/E in hospital.
We were made to feel very welcome and soon became part of the Digby family.
While here, we were able to find Warden Controlled accommodation nearer to our home and to put our
home on the market.

Digby Court Care Home is well managed with a very pleasant atmosphere. In the event of further need for similar help, I would have no hesitation in recommending Digby Court Care Home.

Required 2 bedroom emergency respite care for my parents at New Year.
With what was a shock at 12 midnight, the respite of two weeks has now done my parents wonders and has enabled me to look for suitable long term accommodation, knowing more of the care issues required for them.
They've also been
very supportive of me, on all occasions.

My step-mother had been in Digby Court for two years before she passed away in late December 2016.
In that time she received the best possible care having regards to her needs.
This extended to the one-to-one personal, care and which I personally witnessed on my visits to the home.
She had her personal
favourites with regards to the staff, and with whom she had an excellent rapport...she could be quite challenging at times!
She confided in me on several occasions that whilst she didn't want to be there (in a care home) she thought in the circumstances that she was in the best place and liked the staff/food...she always liked her food!

Digby Court have been a life saver to my parents while mum has had to stay in Digby for 8 weeks and not ever been in a home before she has been extremely happy and well looked after all down to the dedicated staff whom I believe do not look on this as a job to them but actually caring for all residents
whether long term or temporary as mum was, they have helped with her physical health giving her the time with exercise each day making dad welcome on visiting and not an extra. Digby Court is a warm Homely Clean Caring environment with big welcome and smiles what ever they are dealing with they are extremely helpful with a smile. Thank you all so much for looking after Mum. I would not hesitate to stay in Digby at all its a truly happy home.

Mum has spent the last month in Digby Court whilst rehabilitating from a broken leg. She has improved so much with their care and the staff assist with her battle for daily independence.
Staff also have taken time to get to know her and notice very quickly if she is a bit down or dehydrated and are
able to act accordingly. They have been brilliant in accommodating our wishes and requests and mum is loving the weekly hairdresser and the activities leading up to Christmas and the food. She has actually said that if she had to stay anywhere permanently she would like to stay there!
The atmosphere is always friendly whatever time you visit, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Digby court.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.312)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.312) out of 10 for Digby Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 13 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.487 for Digby Court is calculated as follows: ( (92 Excellents x 5) + (42 Goods x 4) + (18 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 152 Ratings = 4.487
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.825 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Digby Court is based on 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.825
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 registered maximum number of service users is 7.2, which has been reached with 13 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Michaela joined the Trust in 2021 after relocating to Lincolnshire from Rutland, where she worked in a care home for 5 years. She worked her way up from Care Assistant to Senior Care Assistant in just under a year. Whilst also gaining her NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care. Michaela is currently completing her Level 5 QCF in Health and Social Care.

Michaela joined the Trust as a Night Lead, and after just a few months, she moved up to the Head of Care role. Michaela is a Safeguarding Ambassador for the Home and is keen to continue developing her knowledge and skills.

Michaela has always had a passion for care. She said: “I enjoy working in a care home as the residents become family, creating a home from home environment. We get to know them, and they get to know us. This includes their loved ones who visit, too. Growing up, I experienced my Grandma living with Alzheimer's; she lived in a care home for the last 8 years of her life. I just want to do my best to see all residents feel at home and safe.”

Michaela took some time out from October 2024 to September 2025 when she had her daughter, Lyra. She is happy to be back at work doing what she loves, learning to balance her professional life alongside her new role as Mum.

Michaela has recently become a National Trust member, enjoying visiting the Historic Sites that Britain has to offer. She also enjoys visiting different aquariums, and both her Husband and Daughter love the water. She takes her daughter swimming at the weekend and enjoys quality family time.
