My mother having tried two other care homes in the area settled on Eresby Hall because of the friendly staff and attentive service. As a relative I am always greeted with a friendly smile and kept informed on mother's condition.

Mum settled well at Eresby Hall quite quickly due to the help of the kind and understanding staff. She enjoys the food, takes part in some of the activities and now has the social life she lacked at home. She appears to be a very happy, contented lady and as her daughter, I am extremely grateful for all the staff do for her every day and night.

I have found the standard of care very good. My father has dementia and the staff are willing and caring towards him. There are various entertainment afternoons and games. The food is good and he seems very happy.

The overall standard of care that my Mum receives is excellent and has contributed enormously to the improvement in her mobility and overall quality of life since coming to Eresby Hall in the summer of 2016. The staff seem to cope well with the pressures of helping many residents at the same time on occasions, always keeping their patience and protecting the dignity of the residents. My mum is getting involved in more and more of the group activities which has helped her to get fully involved in the home life and has also contributed to the improvement in her overall well-being.

It is reassuring to know that my mother is being properly looked after. The carers have been sensitive to her needs. The facilities are excellent and every effort has been made to keep her engaged in sociable activities. It's the happiest I've seen her in years.

Staff always welcoming and go out of their way to answer our queries for example always offering tea/coffee. Staff seem to know all residents well. Aunt is happy with her room. Although we feel it is rather small and dark. Meals- much better than in other homes we know, fresh, often home cooked and looked appetising.

Very friendly happy home. Service user settled well even though she was adamant she was not coming to Eresby Hall. Could do with some air fresheners. Seats in the dining room need steam cleaning now and again.

Reply from Donella Savage, Home Manager at Eresby Hall

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am pleased that you find Eresby Hall a happy and friendly home. I note your comments regarding the air fresheners and seating in the dining room, which we will action accordingly.

The overall level of care and attention is excellent. Staff are very friendly but they need to tell him who they are when entering his room. Also tell him what they are doing - giving him a drink etc.

I have been a regular visitor to the home for 6 years assisting with my friend's needs. The kindly welcoming staff are caring and considerate, doing their best to attend to every need. They only have one pair of hands, but I marvel at their patience with some very demanding individuals. The food is excellent with devoted, long-serving cooks. I have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

My wife entered Eresby Hall with a terminal prognosis and was given the best possible care and attention. My experience of care homes was very limited but I felt she could not have received better care etc. in any other similar institution. I and my family were most grateful. The staff and management were most attentive and fully exceeded my expectations.
