The Gardens Care Home

My sister moved here in June 2023 as she was unable to live on her own with dementia and anorexia. She is starting to put on weight as being encouraged to eat regular meals. All the staff have been very kind to her making sure she always looks clean and tidy and encouraging her to join all the activities. We have noticed a big difference in her. This is the best place for her to live.

I now feel she is in the best place for her. The staff are all very good to her and make us all feel very welcome. We take her to the gardens and feed the fish every Monday with my grandson. I always feel she is happy to see us and I am at ease when we leave. So happy she is in here.

Dad's quality of life has improved.

The Gardens Care Home is simply the best care home. The facilities are excellent, always clean, the food is excellent and the management and staff are friendly and professional, treating residents like people - with dignity and empathy. The Gardens Care Home set the standards of care so high, other care homes should copy them. Well done, a credit to the care industry.

Dad has been a resident in The Gardens Care Home since the Autumn of 2022. He is very settled and gets on well with the staff and residents. The food is cooked from scratch in their kitchens, and there is a good choice. The staff are very kind and have shown Dad a great deal of patience and care. I know Dad is in the best place for his condition. The other week, a talented singer came to the home, and Dad enjoyed his jiving with the staff. They are organising a trip to his local golf club soon, where Dad is a lifetime member. I am very grateful to the staff at The Gardens.

Compared to previous establishments, the care being received here has, without a doubt, been exceptional and above standard. All members of staff have been very professional and above all, treated my nan with care and dignity. The food is very nutritious and varied and cooked to a high standard. Lastly, the entertainment for my nan has been stimulating and leaves no room for boredom. The establishment comes highly recommended; you can be sure that any person who is left in care here will have their needs met.

I feel my mum is safe, well cared for and kept warm and clean. The staff are very caring and kind towards my mum and supportive to the family. The staff are always very responsive to attend to my mum if we ring with an issue when Mum becomes distressed. Medical concerns are dealt with and communication with family is good, on occasions we have to request results. Overall, happy.

The Gardens Care Home has become our saviour in the search for a safe and caring home for our dad. All of the staff from the maintenance to kitchen workers, cleaning and laundry ladies, along with the nursing staff are, in our opinion, first-class, they look after Dad like one of their own. He is very happy with the large comfortable room that has views over the gardens and we have all noticed a change in his, now, cheerful demeanour since he moved in at The Garden. We cannot recommend the home highly enough, the manager and all other staff are always there for your every need and information so you have no reasons to worry.

Mum has been in The Gardens since February 2022. We as a family, are more than happy with the standard of care and feel it is a lovely, friendly environment. We have no complaints whatsoever about the home or the staff.

The care provided is excellent, the staff are always happy to help and talk to family, if required and happy to answer any questions. They keep family updated on their family member. Residents' needs are well cared for and met, always using their names when talking to them. Cleanliness is also excellent and the food always smells appetising.

My mother recently needed a hospital visit. Everything was arranged by the care home's staff. At the last minute, the home were aware of a possible issue with transport. I was contacted and we agreed that I would transport Mum. The carers made sure that Mum was ready for me to collect her with everything she needed. On her return, a hot lunch was quickly supplied for Mum and a warm welcome by the staff.

An excellent visit, all staff are very kind and caring. This standard has always remained constant. Every visit the care and attention exhibited has remained at the highest standard. Every question asked is always acted upon and met with a kind caring response.

I find the staff genuinely compassionate and caring. They also care for the whole family, particularly my father, who is finding it difficult in accepting that my mother needs personal care. After a short spell in hospital when Mum was extremely ill, they have gone over and beyond to nurture her back to health. I know I can contact them at any time, and they are always willing to talk and to listen.

I think the care home is very good and kept residents looked after really well. Staff excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.

My husband has been a resident at The Gardens Care Home for three years. I cannot recommend the home highly enough! He is being very well cared for with his dementia and physical needs and treated with patience, dignity and respect. The managers, seniors, carers and all the staff groups - kitchen/laundry/cleaning/activities and maintenance staff - produce a safe, effective and well-led care home. My family and I feel supported by the manager and staff; they respond quickly to any queries, and we are kept informed of health concerns. Overall, I think the professional teamwork combined with a kind, courteous and friendly staff make The Gardens a care home that is "second to none". Thank you, everyone - so much!

Excellent care home, staff are lovely and very caring. Would recommend always.

I feel very fortunate, comforted and grateful for the loving care and attention shown to my mother by the professional and dedicated team at The Gardens. The home is impeccably run and organised, with staff whose first concern is always the welfare of the residents. I am grateful for many things; the consideration shown to me as a relative whenever I visit or all, the lockdown video calls to help us stay in touch with our loved ones, the contact with me to keep me abreast of doctors' visits or changes in medication, and their willingness and quickness to respond to requests. The premises are always spotlessly clean, the quality of the meals is excellent, and the residents enjoy the many and diverse activities. And I will never forget the lovely birthday surprise for Mum last year!

Mum is 97 and a half. My brothers and I cared for Mum until one had a fall in December 2021. She has dementia. Originally she was admitted to The Gardens for respite care. She adamantly refused to be cared for outside the family. She is now a permanent resident and very happy. She has made friends. We can see she is happy and content, warm, fed and cared for. We are at peace knowing one won't have harmed herself in her home.

I have found the staff are most attentive to my wife and all other patients. They are also very aware of my need and are very helpful to me. I would like to finish my days at this home.

I love the care and friendliness of the home, in general. The fact that if anything happens to Mum, I am told and kept informed all the time. I haven't been able to visit for almost a month due to covid. I was worried, but found her just as she should be - happy and cared for. I have respect for all the staff that care for her and will always be grateful.
