Overall Experience
Mum lived at Westerley Care Home for 6.5years. She has chosen the home herself. When she first went to live there, her mobility skills were poor, but she was encouraged to maintain her independence, however, mum developed Dementia.
She became completely bedridden and never developed a single bedsore. Although confined to bed, mum was including things as far as was possible., for instance, a visiting PAT dog would be brought up to see her. When the staff discovered her responsiveness to music, a visiting violinist would go and play for her.
The staff were always very approachable, supportive and caring towards us, her family as well as towards mum.

The devoted care that she received throughout her time there, was second to none.

A very welcoming, warm, clean and homely house.

Communal rooms well presented. Meals served well in the dining room or alternatively room by room if requested. Overall general care is good.

The Westerley Christian Care Home was highly recommended to us and I can only say that it lives up to its reputation. I couldn't have wished for a more caring environment for my mother to stay. It is welcoming and friendly and the staff couldn't be more helpful. There are activities for the residents to join in on most days which my mother enjoys very much. This is one of the best care homes I have ever visited and is more akin to a hotel.

We always find that Westerley is clean and tidy, the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and visitors are welcome at any time and made to feel at home.
Emergencies are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Most importantly, the residents all appear to be very content.

I have visited several care homes throughout my life and Westerley has to be top of that list for recommendation.

My uncle recently celebrated his 100 years. The family asked if we could arrange a party at the home. A room was set aside, decorated and prepared for 45 guests. We requested a buffet and birthday cake and an amazing spread was produced. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout the afternoon. All the family were welcomed and an enjoyable time was had by all - especially the centurion.

After searching for a suitable home for my Uncle, I found Westerley on the Broadway, Woodhall Spa. It is a magnificent establishment which I recognised as being the best care home in the country! The staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. Recently my Uncle celebrated his 100th birthday and the staff laid on a party for 50 friends and family. He couldn't have hoped for more. I would have no hesitation to anyone in a similar position of recommending Westerley as a home. It feels more akin to a hotel than an institution! The rooms are en-suite and lounges are generous. Visitors are treated just as well as residents.

My mother moved into Westerley with a broken leg and from the moment she moved there until now, she has been treated with the utmost care and consideration. The staff are wonderful, so helpful and friendly and no task is too much trouble for them. The food is of a very high standard and cleanliness is second to none. All in all, I cannot speak too highly of Westerley.

Clean, tidy and well maintained beautiful care home. Staff are always polite, kind and cheerful. Always eager to help residents and visitors - nothing is too much trouble. Food is marvellous so I am told and I have to say when visiting, what I have seen, looks extremely tasty and appetising! It is all homemade and good choices are available with lovely freshly baked cakes and puds.

The level of care my mother received was exemplary. The staff not only made every effort to meet her physical needs to ensure her comfort, they also provided emotional support and reassurance. She was treated with dignity and respect. My family and I were always made very welcome when visiting the home. Information regarding my mothers well being was always shared in a professional, confidential and supportive way. My mother was encouraged and supported to participate in a variety of activities of her choice and provision was made for her spiritual well-being in this caring, faith filled environment.

Westerley Christian Care Home is an excellent care home that puts the individual resident at the front of its thoughts. My aunties year at Westerley Christian Care Home was very pleasant. She enjoys the activities especially the trips for fish and chips and the visits by the girls to play bowls. The atmosphere is relaxed and she was able to make fiends and spend time relaxing with them in the conservatory. I thought the staff were very good in their care of her and other residents. Overall an exceptional care home to be well recommended.

I traveled with my Aunt of 93 to see her sister who is a resident of Westerley for her 100th Birthday. We had a very welcoming atmosphere at Westerley, from what my husband and I saw of the care home they are wonderful with their care and attention to the residents. They are very attentive and make sure all the residents feel involved. I would not hesitate to put a member of the family in Westerley.

My mother came to Westerley for two weeks respite care following a short spell in hospital. Everyone has been so kind and attentive to mum, and to me. She is now fully recovered mainly thanks to the excellent care given by everyone at Westerley. I would have no hesitation bringing mum back in the future. Thank you so much!
