My Dad has been at Oxendon House for just over a year now. He receives very good care and all staff are kind and considerate of his needs. I visit him often and observe professional, respectful and caring treatment to all residents and their families. I highly recommend Oxendon House.
Thank you for your lovely review and kind words, it always lifts our spirits for rewarding reviews. We love our Job
On the day we moved dad in, it was late afternoon/early evening, the team were waiting for us, with a meal ready to give Dad some comfort. New place and food waiting was a hit with him. This hadn't been requested by us it was simply something the home recognised was important.
The continued care and interaction I have had with each and every staff member I have encountered since that first afternoon has continued in the same vein. Helpful, communicative, understanding, supportive and knowledgeable. There is always something going on to encourage him to socialise and engage with others. I would definitely recommend Oxendon House.
Thank you for your kind works and lovely review, this means alot to read this, the team will be delighted
Dad became a resident in November 2025, my brother and myself share the view that the staff and environment are perfect for my Dad's medical condition and needs. The staff are very patient, friendly and compassionate when dealing with Dad's very demanding nature. It's very homely and welcoming, it does feel like home from home. We often say its better than some hotels we've stayed in! The most important aspect for us as a family is that when we leave Dad after a visit we 100% know that he is being cared for and is safe, and that is what makes Oxendon House excellent.
thank you for your lovely review, the team will be really delighted to hear your kind words
The environment and the staff have helped my parents and myself cope with the changes in their lives. Well done.

Thank you for having us

We couldn't have coped without them and I don't think she would still be with us if we hadn't found Oxendon.
Thanks folks.

Thank you for your kind review, the team will be delighted with your feedback I will ensure that they see this review, thank you once again
Every single member of staff, without exception, showed my Dad the utmost care, patience, understanding, love, and respect. He was always treated with dignity, and it was clear to me that his needs always came first. I saw firsthand over 13 months what outstanding care looks like. The compassion extended to my Dad was equally extended to me. I always left Oxendon House knowing my Dad was safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for, and that peace of mind meant the world to me. Communication with management was always open and honest; nothing was ever too much trouble. It was evident that everyone's focus was on doing what was best for my Dad. What sets Oxendon House apart is that everyone there truly cares, not in a procedural sense, but from the heart. I feel so grateful and fortunate that my Dad was cared for at Oxendon House. He was treated with respect, kindness, dignity, and love every single day, and for this, I will be forever thankful.
Thank you for your lovely review of our care home and the team members will be delighted. It has been our pleasure to look after your wonderful father and get to know you and your family. Thank you once again for your kind words.

Mum has been a resident at Oxendon House for nearly three years and is very happy in the very 'homely' home. The staff are always cheerful and friendly when we visit and understand mum well. The activities are varied, the food always looks appetising and the menu sounds excellent. The care mum has received has been excellent from the dedicated and hard working staff. We are sure mum is in the right home.
Thankyou for your lovely review and very kind words. We use all feedback to continually review our service. Thank you for all your continued support. The team will be delighted with your review of our lovely home.
My mother has been a resident since January 2024 and I couldn't be happier with the care that she receives, it really is a home away from home. She has Alzheimer's and this can sometimes cause challenging behaviour, but it is always dealt with gently and with exceptional professionalism. I can rest easy knowing that she is safe and her sparkle and smile are still there.
Thank you for your kind review. We pride ourselves in getting to know a person and there families, we love smiles and most definitely sparkles at Oxendon House
My sister has been a resident in Oxendon House since January 2024. She is very settled and happy there. She responds well to the staff, who are all understanding and very aware of her needs; they are also very supportive of us, her family. They provide a wide range of activities, some of which she joins in with. I am pleased to have been able to recommend the home to friends who are looking for residential care for their parents, etc.
Thank you for your lovely feedback and recommendation of our lovely home. Myself and the team have the pleasure of working in our residents home and what a Joy it is. The team will be delighted, thank you once again.
The range of food provided takes into account dietry requirements and clients medical needs. My aunt still gets "treat" items when she wants them, not just the catered meals. Services like hairdressing and manicured help clients to feel positive about themselves helping with the move from independent living to a care setting. We couldn't be more satisfied with the care provided here. My aunt is gently encouraged to join in, especially on days when her mood is low and engagement expectations are tailored to these ups and downs due to her developing dementia.
Thank you for your lovely review! the team will be delighted with your kind words. We are committed to providing the best possible care for our residents. Thank you
Our father is very happy and content at Oxendon House. The staff are fantastic and very caring. There is plenty to keep Dad stimulated and it's a real 'home from home' but with all the safety and support you would expect.
Thank you for your review of our home, the team will be thrilled to read this review and you kind words. The whole team have the values at the heart of everything we do to make Oxendon 'home from home'
Excellent activities.
Good fresh food. One of the main reasons we selected Oxendon. All freshly prepared on-site.
The staff are all so dedicated.
Thank you for your feedback I will ensure to pass this over to the team.
My auntie moved into Oxendon House some time ago after a prolonged hospital stay, followed by being poorly looked after at a different care establishment. Whilst she still suffers from mobility issues, the staff and management at Oxendon House have provided excellent care, enabling her to regain her health and enjoy a much better quality of life than she had previously. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely review. I will ensure that this positive feedback is fed back to the team.
Everywhere is kept very clean and nicely decorated. We especially loved the peaceful and secure garden that can be accessed freely from within. Activities are improving now as new staff have come in and the social media page keeps us up-to-date with photos – lovely for those of us that can’t often visit.
A huge thank you to everyone at Oxendon House Care Home for doing such a great job: very well done.
Thank you for such a lovely review. It was an honour to care for your mum and get to know her in the time that she was with us. I will ensure that your comments are passed on to the team as well. Thank you again, Beth.
Mum reached the end of her journey with this terrible illness whilst in residence. They were always one step ahead of her needs and talked me through everything, preparing me for things that I'd never considered.
I spent the last week with Mum day and night and felt involved in her care 100%.
Losing her to dementia was heartbreaking but would have been so much worse without their love and care.
I can't thank or recommend Oxendon House enough.
They are wonderful!
Thank you for these lovely comments. I will ensure that they are passed onto the team. It was an absolute pleasure to care for your Mum and to get to know her as well as we could. Thank you for trusting us with her care. We hope that we still see you around.
My brother has been in Oxendon House Care Home for twelve months. He seems comfortable and the home is well looked after. Most of the staff are good, some excellent - I've never seen any being downright unhelpful. Senior staff are generally on the ball when it comes to illnesses and medication and keep me informed of any problems. There seems to have been a lack of organised activities over the last year, which is more of a concern to some users than others, no doubt. It bothers me that the GP hardly ever visits, (whatever the CQC might like to think) leaving most things to a physician associate but I suspect this is par for the course now in most care homes.
Hi Paul, thank you for this review. We now have a full-time activities coordinator in place and are currently recruiting for an additional part-time activities coordinator. Activities are really important for our residents and we have had some difficulty in sourcing the right candidate, which we...
This is a really well-run home. There is a happy and caring atmosphere. Staff are always present and respond quickly to the resident's needs. My father can no longer express an opinion, but I know he is relaxed and content, always smart, well-fed and in safe hands. Congratulations to a fabulous team.
Thank you for such a lovely review. I will ensure that your feedback is passed on to the team.
