They've kept me updated, responded professionally and been genuinely caring. Really grateful for their help. Lovely team of people. Can highly recommend.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback and for your kind words. I will pass this on to the rest of the team to make sure they are aware of the comments you have made.
On arrival and since it has been very satisfactory and I can't fault it. I have made some good friends with other residents and staff.
Thank you for submitting a review on Oxendon House. I will pass on your feedback to our team members.
This is the third time my husband has been a respite resident and has seemed a lot more settled as time has gone on. The staff have been amazing and very welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. I have no worries about his care when he is at Oxendon House.
They really take the time to ensure my mum is well cared for and kept active.
Despite her obvious communication issues, they go to great lengths to understand her and her needs.
The social media page is well maintained and is a pleasure to see how engaged all the residents are in the various regular activities and themed events.
She enjoys her food and is complimentary about the meals.
I am very happy that the manager and the team were able to take her in at short notice during the pandemic. She is clearly happy here in a safe, open and homely environment.
Very well done and thank you to all the team for always making me feel welcome when I call or visit.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for your kind comments. I'll pass these on to the rest of the team. It's been lovely having your mum staying at Oxendon House and we all appreciate the support you have given the team with helping your mum to settle, particularly when it comes to the difficulties she has at times with her communication.
My husbands room is beautifully maintained his bathroom is spotless. It is obvious that a great deal of hard work has gone into maintaining standards. During my visits various meals have been served, again I have been impressed by the presentation and quality of these meals. My husband loves his food therefore this is very important to him.
Oxendon House is a very beautiful building that has the feel of a home, its not ostentatious but just really pleasant and homely, the sort of place you feel comfortable.
Thank you all.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback and for your kind words. I will pass this on to the rest of the team to make sure they are aware of the comments you have made
We stayed safe during the pandemic under trying circumstances.
I can’t live in my own home anymore but here is the next best thing.
The staff are very good to me.
Well done.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and I'm glad to see you feel warmly welcomed when you come to visit. I'll be sure to pass on your feedback to the rest of the team.
He has settled very well and feels very happy and content. The staff are extremely kind and caring. Dads room overlooks the garden and is kept very clean and tidy. We can find no fault with Oxendon House.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and it's been great to see how well your dad has settled in at Oxendon House. Thanks also for your comments on the team, which I will pass on to them.
The food is excellent; I really like my bedroom. I feel safe.
I love the garden and like walking around it and sitting out there.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us, and it's great to read your comments, which I will pass on to the rest of the team.
She says her room is really nice and very clean. She enjoys the singing but is disappointed she cannot join in with the activities because of her poor eyesight. She was rushed into care last September due to a dramatic change in family circumstances - the carers went out of their way to help her to cope, as she really was not prepared for the change. Once again, in November when her son died; the compassion shown to her was second to none, which was very reassuring to us as her family. We look forward to a time when we can be more involved with her care at the home. Big thank you from all the family.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Given how sudden things changed for her, your mother-in-law settled in very quickly, and it's been a pleasure having her living here. I echo the sentiments about looking forward to a time when you can be more involved in person. It will be great...
My mother-in-law started off staying as a respite resident. She enjoyed her stays and remarked how lovely everyone was. Recently, she has moved in and appears to be much happier being around the company constantly, both other residents and staff, and they can offer the care and attention that we weren’t able to provide as time went on.
The staff have been so supportive during respite and moving in. Not once has this felt like a business transaction, which sadly I felt with other places we looked at. Right from the start, it was about my mother-in-law and what she needed. I’ve never felt rushed when I called to ask numerous questions.
Feel very assured about my mother-in-law living here.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review and for your kind words. It's been nice to see your mother-in-law settle in over a period of time, and hopefully, this continues to be so as she stays longer-term now. I'm glad you have felt supported during the respite and on your mother-in-law...
I was riddled with guilt from not seeing her for nearly a year and it was such a relief to visit today.
My last phone call with Mum mainly revolved around sleep, but today she managed a good half hour! Superb and just enough time to catch her brilliant smile, which just goes to show just how content she is,= and what a great job you are all doing making Mum at home and looking after her.
Thank you all so much.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'll pass on your feedback to the rest of the team. It's been nice to see your mum getting more settled in the home, and hopefully, as restrictions are lifted, you and the rest of your family will hopefully get to spend time with your mum in the home in a less structured way soon
The home provides a safe and caring environment situated in a lovely position in a small village. The care that is given is first class and my mother has been well looked after especially after what we have been through. She is happy and feels very safe. There are also activities every day for the residents if they want to join in. I would highly recommend this care home as you will not be disappointed. The staff have been amazing.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review and for your comments about the home and the staff team, which I will pass on to them. It has been a pleasure having your mum stay at Oxendon House and hopefully, we are heading towards a bit more normality where you will be able to spend time with her regularly inside the home.
We moved our Mum from the Care Home she was in and were very impressed with Oxendon House. They were very happy to provide a virtual tour and answer all our questions. At this time when we are unable to go into the care home to see Mum, Oxendon really put our minds at rest. It was good to see visiting is facilitated both by secure pod and also at the window. They are always happy to talk on the phone if we have any questions and keep us informed of how Mum is. Mum's room looks very nice and she was able to take her chair and some personal things. The staff were very welcoming when Mum arrived at the home, which was lovely and really helped her. It is good to see the activity list each week and I think now Mum is settling in, she will enjoy what is on offer. I like that the Facebook page is updated regularly so that we can see what they are doing. My sister and I feel confident that we have made a good decision for Mum and know she will be happy there.
Thank you for your review and it's pleasing to see the comments you have made about the home and the team. I will pass these on to the rest of the team to make sure they are aware. Hopefully, it won't be too long before you are able to be able to have a proper walk around the home and see...
I have always said that I have found that the care home is very very family orientated and friendly. I found it very welcoming. As soon as I walked in I knew that this was the right place for my husband. I would just like to say that all members of staff have been very helpful and I appreciate everything that they are doing.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your kind words, which I'll pass on to the team. They will really appreciate what you have said on here. I'm sure we are all looking forward to getting back to how things were prior to the last year and hopefully we aren't too far away from that now.
Oxendon House staff are extremely dedicated and work so hard to make sure that they do not have one case of COVID-19 in the home. They have kept my dad safe and well during the pandemic, as well as having to think of their own families, and in the absence of most of the professional visitors who normally support residents. I can't thank them enough. It is so difficult for me not to be able to visit as often as I used to, but the staff help me to keep in touch with Dad and keep me up to date with what is happening. I can't wait to visit regularly and see Dad, as well as all the staff and residents.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review and for your kind comments. I will make sure to pass them onto the rest of the team, I know they will be thrilled with the feedback. We look forward to seeing you as soon as we are able to. Thanks again.
My whole family feel Mum has been cared for wonderfully during the working time she's needed respite. We'd love to see inside the house to view the room and surroundings and to meet all the carers eventually.
Thank you for taking the time to write the review. It's been a pleasure having your mum at the home and I echo the sentiment, it would be great to be able to have yourself and others in the home sometime soon.
The care staff at Oxendon have gone above and beyond during the Covid crisis. Firstly, they have managed to keep the home virus free by their diligence outside and inside. Secondly, they have done everything possible to ensure that we have contact with our loved ones, however tricky that may be. The staff have been patient, kind and, most importantly, empathic during a time that has been very distressing. Not being able to see a frail, beloved relative is torture but all the staff have done whatever is possible to make a terrible situation that bit better.
Thank you for the review and your kind words about the team. As we have said in the updates the patience of friends and family members of those living at Oxendon House has really been appreciated too, as we know this has been a difficult time for you all. Hopefully, we will be able to have you back in for your regular visits soon.
I just want to thank everyone at Oxendon House Care Home for keeping my friend safe, well looked after and very well fed with all the lovely home-cooked food during the pandemic. The home has had no cases at all of COVID-19 which is a reflection of the great care they have taken during the lockdown. Well done to all concerned.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review like this. The team have done a great job collectively through this period and that being acknowledged is really nice to see. We look forward to being able to welcome you back for visits soon
Just want to thank all the staff for all their hard work through this difficult time of lockdown due to COVID-19. Even during this time all the staff are very helpful, polite and caring to my mum and myself when I ring to speak to her. Reassured to know my mum is very well cared for.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review, and for your comments. I will make sure to pass them onto the team. Thanks again and we look forward to welcoming you back at Oxendon House as soon as we are able.
