Welcome to Clipstone Hall & Lodge Care Home, located in the mining village of Clipstone. The purpose-built home is situated in the shadow of the Grade II listed colliery headstocks and just a short drive from Mansfield.

Each of the 90 ensuite bedrooms is furnished to a high standard offering Residents the chance to enjoy comfort and tranquillity.

At Clipstone Hall & Lodge providing independence and choice is very important.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own belongings to help them feel at home.

All Clipstone Hall residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. The person-centred care ethos puts residents' health and wellbeing central to everything providing a truly holistic care package.

The facilities at Clipstone Hall & Lodge allow residents to enjoy other everyday routines that promote independence, from using the communal lounges, enjoying the gardens and views to utilising the Beauty Salon or meeting friends for a drink in their own ‘York House Tavern’.      

There is a whole range of activities on offer including arts and crafts sessions, gardening, exercise classes, cinema nights, quizzes, musical performances, and pamper sessions. These activities are purposeful and full of self-worth. There is a great variety of activities to try, with new activities added frequently.

The in-house chefs will prepare exceptional food from fresh, seasonal produce that’s locally sourced where possible. Menus will include a mix of delicious and nutritious options including traditional classic meals, Residents’ favourites and exciting international cuisine.

The staff is very friendly and helpful and also very caring towards the residents, we couldn't have wished for better staff looking after our mother. The staff is also very understanding with the residents. The care home was also very clean and tidy and had lovely meals for the residents.

When I visit my friend in the home he is always well cared for by the friendly and efficient staff who have got to know him and his needs during his time there.
The home is always very clean and calm.
The food is excellent and when I have visited at meal times everyone seems to be enjoying it.

Overall, a positive experience. Great, caring staff. My husband is treated with dignity, no task is too small. I am treated with respect. Always informed about my husband's well-being. The staff are caring towards visiting loved ones and always available for a chat, a supportive shoulder to cry on and
a friendly face. Management are easy to approach and are sensitive to every aspect of my husband's and my care.

Myself, son and daughter can't speak highly enough for Clipstone Hall & Lodge who are currently caring for my wife. The staff are kind and friendly and the place is spotlessly clean. The food is varied and well cooked and the manager is always on hand to talk to. The rooms are very spacious and include
ensuites. A very good care home.

My mother has been in this home for three years and is very happy. The staff look after my mum well and she is happy with all her meals. I always feel welcome when I visit and I leave knowing my mum is safe.

My friend only moved to Clipstone Hall & Lodge a couple of months ago. The move was made as smoothly as possible and everyone was so helpful. The carers all seem to be doing a good job and are so friendly. My friend has only mentioned a couple of times that he's had to wait a while for one to come when
he's buzzed. The manager had a meeting in June which was very informative. He said what he intended to do to improve and listened to friends' concerns. It was a good meeting.

My mum went into Clipstone just over 4 years ago just before COVID struck. I was going to move her out, but very dissatisfied, obviously COVID came, had to leave her there, this morning I finally moved her out to a new care home, which for a 92-year-old with dementia is a big issue. The new manager
arrived nearly a year ago full of good intentions to make it a better place, but none of them materialised. It went into special measures and residents' families had to find out through reading the newspaper, disgusting. I would wholeheartedly not recommend Clipstone Hall and Lodge to anybody.

I feel your comments regarding the management at the home are not only incorrect but unfair. The home was put into special measures in April 2022. The existing manager arrived in June 2022 and subsequently and quickly raised the standard at its re-inspection in September 2022 and was removed from its restrictions. We are saddened that you feel your experience at Clipstone Hall & Lodge was a negative one.

My sister became a resident here in November 2022. She's settled nicely and is happy and contented. Im happy with the care she is given, all staff are kind, caring and sympathetic to her needs. I know she is well looked after, she has regular meals and is warm and safe.

Cannot fault Clipstone Hall & Lodge. Excellent carers and great management. It's clean, bright and airy. Nothing is too much trouble. Home-cooked food. Good housekeeping-so clean. Entertainment programme and its like home from home.

The home is a lovely place for my mum to stay, the staff are so kind and understanding, and it feels like nothing is too much trouble. The manager and the admin team are positive and have been both helpful and supportive of both my mother and our family during a time of real worry for us all.

Have been a resident since July 2020, came in at the height of the pandemic which was dealt with extremely well in keeping us safe and well. My experience has been very good as I came in as an emergency. Everyone has shown kindness as it was a difficult situation when I first came. Much appreciated

My dad has been living at Clipstone Hall & Lodge Care Home since June, he has relaxed and fitted straight in. Every time I visit he is happy and content. My friend asked me to go and look around Clipstone Hall and Lodge Care Home for her brother. On arrival, we were met by the home manager who took time with us to show around the home and explained everything. Her brother went into the home and has settled really well, the staff have been fantastic in
making him feel welcome and make him happy. Would definitely recommend the home.

Clipstone Hall & Lodge is absolutely fantastic, I have a friend who is in the home and she loves it. We have seen a massive improvement in her since being there. She is always well looked after, clean and always well cared for. The home always smells clean.
The management team and carers can never
do enough for not only the residents but for all their families as well.
I cannot thank them enough.

I can't thank the staff enough for what they have done for my friend. Before going to the home she had become withdrawn now she is like her old self always smiling and chatty. We get to speak over video call where she tells me about all the activities she has joined in with and I get to visit her and
have a natter via their pod. I have found that the staff are friendly and approachable, I know I'm not family but we are close friends, known each other for years and it helps knowing she is safe and well looked after in a beautiful home.

My mum has been a resident at Clipstone Hall and Lodge Care Home since February 2021 following a bad fall. I have been extremely happy with the care and attention she has received from all members of staff, who have treated her with kindness and dignity at all times since her arrival, and this has helped
her to settle in quickly to a new way of life with minimal disruption.
I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone considering residential care for a loved one.
