Welcome to Clipstone Hall & Lodge Care Home, located in the mining village of Clipstone. The purpose-built home is situated in the shadow of the Grade II listed colliery headstocks and just a short drive from Mansfield.

Each of the 90 ensuite bedrooms is furnished to a high standard offering Residents the chance to enjoy comfort and tranquillity.

At Clipstone Hall & Lodge providing independence and choice is very important.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own belongings to help them feel at home.

All Clipstone Hall residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. The person-centred care ethos puts residents' health and wellbeing central to everything providing a truly holistic care package.

The facilities at Clipstone Hall & Lodge allow residents to enjoy other everyday routines that promote independence, from using the communal lounges, enjoying the gardens and views to utilising the Beauty Salon or meeting friends for a drink in their own ‘York House Tavern’.      

There is a whole range of activities on offer including arts and crafts sessions, gardening, exercise classes, cinema nights, quizzes, musical performances, and pamper sessions. These activities are purposeful and full of self-worth. There is a great variety of activities to try, with new activities added frequently.

The in-house chefs will prepare exceptional food from fresh, seasonal produce that’s locally sourced where possible. Menus will include a mix of delicious and nutritious options including traditional classic meals, Residents’ favourites and exciting international cuisine.

Had a visit on Saturday with my lovely mum who has been in Clipstone Hall and Lodge for over a year now. I was very unhappy to find mum with long dirty fingernails. It looked like faeces caked under her nails. Later that day I found out mum has had E-coli. The home did not inform me of this, although
I am one of the family contacts. She has been poorly for a few weeks now. It breaks my heart to see mum this way, she deserves a lot better. All it would have taken was staff to have made sure she was clean, it's basic care that is not being given. We asked to trust in these people to care for our dear loved ones and I don't feel some even have a caring bone in their body. To some, it is just a job.

My mum was accepted as an emergency, the team made her very welcome and really looked after her. We were able to make this a permanent home for her, which we and my mum were very happy about. Even though the pandemic, everyone has made every effort to keep my mum safe and let us visit.

My mum is currently at Clipstone Hall & Lodge on respite (and hopefully permanently) after an increase of falls at home, and due to her no longer feeling safe in her home. Since she has been there I have visited her not only in the designated visitors pod but also in house following lateral flow testing
and by following PPE guidelines. The care staff have made her feel at home and safe and she now refers to Clipstone Hall & Lodge as ‘home’. She has been socialising with the other residents and carers and after over a year of shielding and having little contact with anyone she is the happiest I have seen her for a long time especially as she is such a social individual. The care staff keep me updated with what is going on, and I have spoken to her on the phone most days, and even FaceTimed her with the help of one of the carers. She is enjoying the activities that she is participating in, and has nothing but praise for the food which is being served too.

Very obliging and very friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble. Excellent service throughout. I have no complaints. Situated on the outskirts of Clipstone with easy access to a car park. My husband is very settled there.

My mum has been in Clipstone Hall & Lodge for 3 years now and from the very beginning, it has been like home not only for my mum but for me too! Every single member of staff is kind, caring and friendly. The pandemic has been a difficult time for everyone, throughout all this I have been kept up to
date with everything that has involved my mum, this has been greatly appreciated by me and my family. Before Covid I was a very regular visitor to the home, although I obviously missed my mum I was comfortable in the knowledge that she was being well looked after not just physically but loved too. The atmosphere in the home is always very pleasant and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble should you have a concern or query. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend Clipstone Hall & Lodge to anyone. Thank you to everyone.

Clipstone Hall and Lodge are fantastic. Communication has been wonderful during this very difficult time. They have been really supportive and made sure that Mum has everything she needs. They have been very good at letting me know how Mum is, even passing her the phone for a chat. They have helped
me through a very difficult time as well, always willing to lend an ear. They go above and beyond. I am really looking forward to a time when we can have 'proper' visits, without the perspex. But the pod and video calls will get us through.

Speaking as my wife's husband I cannot speak highly enough about my wife's stay at Clipstone Hall after multiple fractures. It is equally as good as a five-star hotel.

My mother moved to Clipstone Lodge about six months ago. The carers have taken really good care of her and she is very happy there. The management are always helpful and caring. It was a hard decision to let Mum live there as she used to be so independent but she has settled in really well and our family
are so grateful to the staff.

My grandad went into respite three weeks ago now. He was only going in for two weeks as planned and he loved it that much, he wanted to stay an extra week. I highly recommend this care home to anybody who has mixed decisions for any family member of their own who is looking around. The home care manager
has gone above and beyond for us and my grandad along with all her staff. They’ve all made us feel at ease knowing that my grandad is safe and being very well looked after in the hands of their care. They’ve always phoned to let us know if he needed anything. I’ll be more than happy if my grandad decided to stay here permanently. They welcome you with open arms and make you feel like you're at home. Thank you, Clipstone Lodge and Hall, for all you’re doing and the help you are providing for us and my grandad, you're amazing!

My grandma has been in here for a couple of months now. She began to be a resident though lockdown, which was a very difficult time for everyone. However, the staff were incredible and made my grandma feel at home. She is so settled and happy now getting the right care that she deserves. They don’t

These are difficult times for everyone at the moment. How many of us have been watching the care home crisis unfold alongside the Coronavirus epidemic, fearful for our loved ones in care? At Clipstone Hall & Lodge, all the staff, ably led by the manager, have done the utmost to create a safe and peaceful
haven for residents. As a family, we are beyond grateful for all your love and care of our dear Mum and would like to thank you for your tireless attempts to keep going when the going got tough! You took the time to give us regular updates, making Skype calls available when face to face contact was lost, and the telephone could always be put to an ear to allay fears. My husband was in for 2-weeks respite and settled so well he wanted to stay an extra week. He seems much calmer than he was at home and is eating well. Staff are always friendly and only too willing to chat about any concerns you may have and to give regular updates. Would be more than happy if his

My friend has been a resident at Clipstone Hall for around a year, she was very nervous at first when she went into a residential care home. I have to say she truly enjoys living at Clipstone Hall, the staff have gone that extra mile to ensure she settled in and spent time reassuring her and encouraging
her to join in the fantastic activities the care home offers, even during the COVID-19 outbreak she has spent time with the activities staff in the garden, planting flowers and doing arts and crafts. I would recommend this care home to everyone, the staff are truly outstanding and I can’t thank them enough for all their hard work.

All carers are lovely and really helpful. They really make the resident settled and at home. The staff don’t make it feel like a care home they make it more like a holiday home and making every day different to entertain all residents and guests. Lovely people and a lovely place.
