My father has received the most excellent care, love and affection from all staff at Derbyshire House. He was a resident for two and a half years and was always treated with dignity and respect. Initially, he was a bright able man with medical needs that couldn’t be met at home. He was stimulated and entertained. When his health deteriorated in the last three months his views and needs were taken into consideration and his care was exemplary. When I was unable to visa due to Covid 19 restrictions the staff stepped in, each and every one of them truly magnificent. I cannot praise high enough.

The staff would give him a shave as we struggled ourselves and got his hair cut. They make a lot of effort for holidays like Easter, Halloween and Xmas. Everyone was so caring and they have shows, demonstrations, singers, entertainment and they took him out for the day. He always came back happy and he loved the animals, dogs, cats, chickens etc. The gardens are lovely and are well kept, safe and secure, he loved walking around the garden. The place is clean and well-kept and has a homely feel. Always ate well and one night a week they all have a take out.
My Mum was a resident in Derbyshire House from Nov 2015 - May 2016. The Care she received was excellent. The atmosphere is of one big family. All the carers I encountered were very committed to their job. There was always a good ratio of staff to residents at all times. The food was good, my mum...
When my mum deteriorated I did not want her to go into hospital and she stayed at Derbyshire House. The end of life care she received was amazing, all her needs were meet. Whenever i went to visit her there was always someone with her and the staff were a great support to me at a very difficult time. I cannot praise them enough.
She passed away peacefully without distress or pain. Thank you Derbyshire House.
