My father is extremely happy at the Old Vicarage Care Home and thinks the staff are very good. My brother and I feel this is a very good service and know dad is safe and well supported. He would like to get our more when family do not visit, possibly in the garden when the weather is appropriate.

Staff are friendly and very helpful; any concerns are dealt with efficiently. There are a variety of activities which keep the residents engaged, brightening up their days. Meals are cooked on site and enjoyed by residents.

The staff all know my mother-in-law and do not have to be prompted or reminded. Her hygiene and dress care are always very good and she enjoys her meals and when able the social activities. Plenty of information in reception hall about what is going on and future events and photographs. From the manager right through the staff we have never felt we could not approach to ask any questions. We enjoy going in the lounge on our visits and everyone is always dressed nicely.

After a bad experience in previous care we moved mum to the Vicarage. From the first viewing we felt confident and happy this was a good place to be. Staff are friendly and competent, food is delicious and the whole feel of the place is that of a relaxed and safe environment.

The care and support for both the resident and their family is great and staff/management are always available to answer any questions or worries we may have.

I was sent into The Old Vicarage Care Home after falling on my garden path and breaking my back in two places. The attention I received during my stay was absolutely first class each and every day nothing seemed too much trouble for all the wonderful staff, they were always obliging whatever you needed, and whatever time you needed it. The meals were well prepared and adequate. I have informed my family if I ever needed to go into a care home again, it's The Vicarage or none!

The Old Vicarage has a warm and homely feel, I am well looked after by the caring staff and enjoy socialising with the other residents. Everyone is easy to get on with and have a laugh with. It is fair to say I am being cared for in the best possible way.

My dad came to be in residential care after my mum sadly passed away, she had recently become dads carer. It has been life changing for both of us but the help and support that the staff have given us has been invaluable in getting us through it all. Dad now has the care and stability he needs for him to be happy and I have peace of mind that he is safe and well. Senior staff have given me the help I needed with filling in forms to access benefits and healthcare professionals in relation to my dads condition, and with reassurance dad is fine. Aside from that nothing is too much trouble and if I have any worried they are addressed straight away by the home manager.
