Beechville provides residential, dementia and short-stay care for up to 63 residents in a peaceful, purpose-designed home in Bolton, Greater Manchester.

Once a Quaker home, Beechville has a long legacy of care and community. Today, it offers a safe, comfortable setting with en-suite bedrooms, cosy lounges, and a vibrant central coffee shop where residents, families and staff come together throughout the day.

Outdoors, the landscaped gardens include a courtyard with mature trees, bird feeders, raised beds, and a summer house gifted by a resident’s family. The space is used year-round for gardening, relaxing, and events such as barbecues and seasonal celebrations.

Meals are freshly prepared by an experienced head chef who also trains other MHA cooks. Menus are shaped by resident input and include hearty favourites, afternoon teas, and fun events like Sandwich Week. Families can book the coffee bar for private gatherings.

I looked at many dementia residential homes before choosing Beechville. Beechville is a cut above everywhere else I looked. The standard of care is excellent, all the staff from housekeepers to the manager are caring, & really helpful. They go above & beyond to care for my mum. There is a regular activity
program - something that is really important for someone living with dementia. Most importantly I know mum is in good hands with people who care. Thank you Beechville.

My mother had a 3 weeks stay for respite care. She stated how happy she has been and well cared for. All family visitors have commented on how pleasant, caring and respectful the staff have been, and the range of activities available.

I found Beechville care home to be first class. The care my wife was shown was 1st class. The cleanliness & house keeping was 1st class. My father has been a resident at Beechville for 12 months. I have found the car really good, with a genuine family atmosphere. He is really well looked after, especially when medical interventions have been necessary. I feel totally reassured and am confident that he is safe, secure and happy. I have

My mother-in-law came to Beechville in December 2023. We have found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful and had a busy December with all the amazing activities, various singers, crafts and coffee afternoons. My mother-in-law has settled in and enjoys the singing and dancing.

Our immediate experience on visiting our relative is that Beechville is a very friendly and well-run home. The staff seem very professional and caring of the residents. The coffee shop is a welcoming area for residents and visitors. The activities lady is very active and friendly.

Beechville provided a wonderful programme of events leading up to Christmas and New Year. A group of staff also gave up their their time to entertain on Christmas Day and on Christmas and New Years Eve. Cannot praise them enough for their dedication and care as they made it a time to enjoy and remember
for all.

When we first visited Beechville to see if it was suitable for our friend, we were struck by how light, bright and clean the environment is, but more especially by the kindness of the staff. Since our friend moved in, she has been treated with gentleness and care. The food is nourishing, and she has
put on weight. She was very anxious but is always smiling now. The range of activities is lovely, and the coordinator is very energetic. Our friend is warm and safe and no longer lonely.

My mother was a resident in Beechville for 10 months. Right from when she first moved in she was treated with loving dignity by all of the staff. Her room was large, warm and comfortable with her own en-suite. All of the staff, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners, laundry etc were unfailingly polite and
cheerful to my mum and all of her visitors. We were always kept informed about her medical care. She gradually became more frail and was looked after beautifully by the carers, with regular input from district nurses. During her last few weeks, the family spent a lot of time with her and the Beechville staff extended their care to all of us - making sure that we had meals and drinks. She died last week peacefully at the age of 99. The family are so very glad that we chose Beechville to look after our beloved mother- Thank you to everyone.

The staff provide an excellent level care in comfortable surroundings. The food is made with fresh ingredients and is outstanding. However, the levels of communication needs improvement. We have not been made aware of our key worker (after 4 months) despite this being an action plan from a previous
comment by another user in January. Similarly, appointments are not always recorded accurately and decisions on care are made without consulting close family. With improved management Beechville could be an outstanding care home.

After looking at many care homes Beechville was the only one that felt right and ticked all our boxes. Since coming to Beechville I feel my dad has a new lease of life. The staff are truly wonderful with him, giving regular updates and going the extra mile with the personal touch. I like that he has
freedom of choice, he can watch tv, wander safely or join in the many activities on offer. I wish this level of care was available to all.

Thank you so much for your review, it brought a lump to my throat when I read this out to the staff today. The staff in the home truly do try so hard to make sure all the residents are happy and safe and respect their choices. I think it's important to note that there are days that some of the residents may not want to join in activities and that is absolutely fine. Dad is absolutely able to walk round the home and will often nip into the office just to see that we are ok (and also because he knows that he will get a cuppa and some chocolate). I have visited Beechville care home on a number of occasions. I have always found the home to be a friendly and inviting place with lovely private rooms for the residents. The home is always spotlessly clean and any members of staff I have met appear to genuinely care for the residents and treat them
with respect and kindness. A number of forms of stimulation are provided to ensure residents have a full and happy life. A home I would be happy to entrust with a close relative's care.

My mother has been in Beechville for 3 years now. Since the beginning, I have been very happy with the excellent standard of care she has received and the way she has been treated by all the staff. I feel she is happier now than she has been for many years.
The home is bright and clean and everyone
is friendly and cheerful. I regularly tell myself and other people how happy I am that Mum came to live in Beechville.

When Mum was diagnosed with early-stage dementia and confined to a wheelchair, a friend recommended Beechville as her mother had excellent care there. As soon as Mum came to the home we realised what a special place it was. As a family, we have been delighted and impressed by the consistent quality
of the care she received from all the staff in the home. This includes medical knowledge, patience and warmth shown by staff, innovative entertainment planning and liaison with family members. Mum passed away in January and the tender management and care during this difficult time, which Mum and the family received, was amazing.

Lovely and friendly staff. Always available to listen to any problems or questions (by residents or family members). Residents are treated with dignity. Activities are suitable for all and great entertainment. Good food and cleanliness in all areas.

Our relative has been permanently resident at Beechville since September 2022. She has settled in exceptionally well. The home is secure and well-managed. The care she receives is wonderful and tangible. We are advised immediately if our relative has any incident, furthermore, they also inform the social
services who document, investigate and contact the relatives before closing the incident. Beechville attempts to immerse all of its residents in a large range of supervised activities. Beechville also respects resident's wishes who do not want to participate. Thank you to all of the management team and staff who are extremely approachable and accommodating.
