Beechville provides residential, dementia and short-stay care for up to 63 residents in a peaceful, purpose-designed home in Bolton, Greater Manchester.

Once a Quaker home, Beechville has a long legacy of care and community. Today, it offers a safe, comfortable setting with en-suite bedrooms, cosy lounges, and a vibrant central coffee shop where residents, families and staff come together throughout the day.

Outdoors, the landscaped gardens include a courtyard with mature trees, bird feeders, raised beds, and a summer house gifted by a resident’s family. The space is used year-round for gardening, relaxing, and events such as barbecues and seasonal celebrations.

Meals are freshly prepared by an experienced head chef who also trains other MHA cooks. Menus are shaped by resident input and include hearty favourites, afternoon teas, and fun events like Sandwich Week. Families can book the coffee bar for private gatherings.

Life at Beechville includes music therapy, baking competitions, bingo, crafts, fitness sessions, and special visits—from llamas and opera singers to schoolchildren and scout groups. Regular trips and a full calendar keep the home lively and inclusive.

At Beechville, care isn’t just about support, it’s about creating a community where residents thrive. Whether you’re searching for yourself or a loved one, for residential, dementia or short-stay care, the team at Beechville are here to help.

Mum moved to Beechville in August 2022 as she could no longer live safely in her own home. Her transition was carefully managed. The care staff are incredibly proactive and contact me with concerns and solutions before I have even noticed anything is amiss. The relationship with their partner GP practice
is equally impressive and Mum is being very well looked after. She sees it as 'home' now and says how much she likes it there. The building is well-maintained and the layout is pretty much perfect. Ensuite bedrooms are roomy and pleasant. Cleaners keep the place spotless and laundry staff ensure residents look clean and smart. The kitchen staff serve up a healthy and interesting menu. The activities coordinator works hard at delivering a programme that is varied, educational and fun. Mum is extremely well cared for, settled and happy. I am so glad I chose Beechville. This is a well-managed care home with a great ethos. The staff truly care about residents and I’m very grateful.

Thank you so much for writing such a beautiful review for us. Mum really has settled well into the Beechville family, as have you. I will of course share this with the staff but it was so lovely to hear that you are so happy with the home. I could not agree more in regards to all the staff, from carer to kitchen to domestic to laundry - they really are here for the residents and the majority are long-standing staff who have been here years and absolutely love the home. In regard to our activities person – I don’t think I have ever worked with anyone with as much energy. So thank you again and we will see you soon.

Mum has made such good progress, both physically and mentally, since she arrived at Beechville Care Home. She is now very settled and seems a lot happier than she was a few months ago. The staff at Beechville treat Mum with care and dignity and it is a direct result of this degree of care that Mum is
now more animated and content.

Thank you so much for this review. It's always so worrying for families, friends and advocates when someone moves into a home. There are so many anxieties around ‘have we done the right thing’ and as much as the staff in the home will try and ease the anxieties it's not until you really get to know the staff, the home and everyone involved in it that anxieties ease a little. Mum really has settled in well. I know the staff absolutely adore her. The review is so lovely to read, especially since Mum has not been here long. I will of course share this with the staff. Thank you again for taking the time to write this.

Beechville truly feels like a home.
Delicious homemade meals and snacks, always served with a smile.
The staff are amazing, treating residents with love and care as if they were their own families.
There is a huge range of activities and events for all interests.
My mum has lived here for 4 years
and I have recommended Beechville to other friends.

Thank you so much for taking the time to send through a review. I will share this with the staff in the home. It’s been wonderful having Mum in the home for the last four years. I think our activity coordinator will be pleased to hear how happy you are with the activities, she really takes so much pride in all she organises for the residents who live here. I’m also pleased to hear you are happy with the food, it's so lovely – our kitchen team work so hard to make sure they provide such wonderful food, we are also looking forward to some more event days in the home, so make sure you keep a lookout for these. Thanks again for writing this. See you soon.

Mum has been resident at Beechville for just over 12 months and in my view is loved and cared for by all the staff from the managers down to the cleaners. Mum is encouraged and cajoled into joining in with the range of daily activities provided to help improve her socialising skills. Having lived alone
for 10 years before joining Beechville she has been short of social interaction and can be reluctant to join in, so the gentle coaxing helps. That said if mum needs some quiet time she is helped to have her meals in her own room.
In my view, Mum is treated at all times with dignity and loving care. The staff are very experienced in all forms of dementia care and I find them all to be approachable and are always knowledgeable and up to date about Mum's needs and her daily routines.
After a less than successful spell at another care home, Mum seemed to lose years off her age from the moment she moved into Beechville. I cannot recommend the home highly enough.

Thank you so much for spending the time to send through a review. All the staff in the home absolutely love Mum and when she does come out of her room and join in with the activities, she really loves it. It's lovely to have the family come and join in too, we like to think of the home as one big family. We feel Mum is really settled in the home and she is so loving and kind to all of us here. Thank you again for writing this review, I will of course share this with the staff.

Our mother has been in Beechville for almost a year and we are so pleased with our decision to use this home. Whilst she has dementia and her condition is changing, the care that she receives is not. From the very first day, the staff have been fantastic and she looks healthier (has thankfully put on
some weight), looks happy - and regularly tells us she is and is encouraged to get involved in the many activities that are put on for them.
We were worried that she would sit in a chair all day and deteriorate but this is most certainly not the case. The event coordinator is proactive and we love seeing all the social media posts. The app has been a revelation, not only does she do things that we are doing but we can see things that the rest of the family is involved in.
Thank you so much for everything you do for Mum (and therefore, for us as well).

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review for Beechville, I will share this with all the staff. It's so lovely to hear how happy the family is. Mum is loved by all. The Activity Co-ordinator is truly awesome, isn't she? Everything she does is for the residents and wants to make it a really fun home to be in. We try really hard to make sure that we add activities to the social media page as we think it's important for the relatives to see what we are doing. Thank you again for writing this review.

My mother-in-law has been a resident for 12 months now at Beechville. The care and attention she receives are excellent. There are activities going on most of the time, which the residents are encouraged to take part in. However, it is completely their choice. The staff are very welcoming, they know
who you are and who you have come to visit without asking. I would have no hesitation in recommending Beechville.

Thank you so much for writing us a review and of course, this will be shared with the staff in the home. Mum is loved by us all and you are right, it's absolutely her choice should she wish to take part in any activities. Your comment in regards to the staff knowing you were so lovely to read. I have always felt it important that staff get to know families, friends and advocates of relatives as that brings the whole home closer together. Thank you again for writing this review.

Before, during and after admission to this wonderful care home, my aunt and I have been treated with the utmost care and consideration. The communication between management and myself to facilitate her moving to Beechville was seamless. Everything regarding her care and well-being has been met with
so much empathy by all members of the staff. The daily activities coordinator is a joy and every effort is made to engage with residents. True professionalism.

Beechville is a great place for people to live in a safe and caring environment. I would recommend Beechville based on my own experience of my mum being a resident and also have helped with some social events as a volunteer. The home is always clean, the carers and management are always helpful and
the food is appetising and delicious.

Thank you so much for this review and for commenting on the home. It's lovely when relatives support by becoming a volunteer too. We really are so grateful for all you do for the residents and how much support you give all the staff in the home. So many of the reviews talk about the wonderful care the home gives and although we do love to hear that, it's nice also to see comments such as it's clean, as this really gives a boost to the domestic staff who take so much pride in making sure the home is clean and tidy for everyone. Once again thank you for sending through this lovely review. It means so much to the whole team.

My dad has been cared for by the wonderful staff at Beechville now for over two years. I can't thank them enough for their devotion to the care of Dad. He is well looked after, happy and content. I am kept informed of his well-being and am always welcome into the home. I feel part of the Beechville
family too! I know I do not have to worry about Dad, he is cared for in every single aspect of his daily living. Good job Beechville, you are just great!

My stepmother originally went to stay on a respite basis in May. She has decided that she would like to stay on a permanent basis. The staff are very supportive friendly and professional. I myself feel that I can be assured that she is being cared for in a safe environment. The home work very hard to
provide social activities for its residents which relatives are welcome to attend. Thank you to all management and staff.

Thank you so much for your review. It's so lovely to hear that families are happy with the services we are providing. We all try so hard to make Beechville the home it is, and the staff want to ensure that everyone who comes to Beechville is made to feel like part of the family straight away, including relatives and advocates. It's very true that the activities at the home are really wonderful and our activity co-ordinator is so passionate about bringing happiness, and excitement (and plenty of entertainment) to the home too. My husband went into Beechville in 2020, during lockdown. This was a very distressing time for both my husband and I. All the staff were so supportive to both of us and really helped my husband to settle. My first opinion of Beechville and its staff was very good. I can now visit my husband whenever
I want. Popping in and out daily has given me plenty of time to see that my first opinion was correct. All of the staff from management to maintenance and everyone in between treat all of the residents with dignity, love, compassion and patience. There is also lots of laughter and joking going on, which my husband has always enjoyed.
Since the end of lockdown, there are more activities, outings and entertainment. Families can also be a part of that, which is lovely and the coffee shop is open more often again. I would definitely recommend Beechville Care Home.

Mum has been in Beechville Care Home for a year now. In that time, of course, we had limited visiting before Covid closed the home to visitors. However, I have been kept informed of any information from a lovely weekly newsletter. Also loads of pictures of Mum joining in activities which happen all

Beechville has been home to my Aunty for over 10 years, and she really considers it to be her home. She is very happy and well looked after by all. I cannot speak highly enough of the care, compassion dedication and willingness of the staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble, often they go above and
beyond their duty. It is obvious that for many working at Beechville, it is more than a job, it is a true vocation. They have become like an extended family to us, and knowing just how much they care about our loved ones makes this horrible pandemic just a bit easier to bear.
My heartfelt thanks to a wonderful team of volunteers, carers, seniors, managers, administrator, chefs, kitchen staff, handyman, activities- coordinators, music therapists, cleaners. I hope I haven’t missed anybody. You are all doing an amazing job!

Thank you so much for your heart-warming review on Beechville. I will of course share this with all the staff. It's lovely how you have mentioned all the different roles in the home as they all work so closely together as a team. It’s been a truly difficult time for the staff and the residents in the home and we are all missing the relatives and friends that often visited. I also believe that the staff in this home all care so much for the residents they look after and we will continue to do so. We keep everything crossed and it continues in our prayers that one day this will all be over and we can look forward to having family and friends come back in the home to celebrate special events or just for a chat and cuppa. Thank you again.

    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 63 registered maximum number of service users is 12.6. 12 Positive Reviews ÷ 12.6 = 0.952
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
