Beechville

Thank you so much for writing such a beautiful review for us. Mum really has settled well into the Beechville family, as have you. I will of course share this with the staff but it was so lovely to hear that you are so happy with the home. I could not agree more in regards to all the staff, from carer to kitchen to domestic to laundry - they really are here for the residents and the majority are long-standing staff who have been here years and absolutely love the home. In regard to our activities person – I don’t think I have ever worked with anyone with as much energy. So thank you again and we will see you soon.

Thank you so much for this review. It's always so worrying for families, friends and advocates when someone moves into a home. There are so many anxieties around ‘have we done the right thing’ and as much as the staff in the home will try and ease the anxieties it's not until you really get to know the staff, the home and everyone involved in it that anxieties ease a little. Mum really has settled in well. I know the staff absolutely adore her. The review is so lovely to read, especially since Mum has not been here long. I will of course share this with the staff. I think our activity coordinator will be pleased to hear how happy you are with the activities, she really takes so much pride in all she organises for the residents who live here. I’m also pleased to hear you are happy with the food, it's so lovely – our kitchen team work so hard to make sure they provide such wonderful food, we are also looking forward to some more event days in the home, so make sure you keep a lookout for these. All the staff in the home absolutely love Mum and when she does come out of her room and join in with the activities, she really loves it. It's lovely to have the family come and join in too, we like to think of the home as one big family. We feel Mum is really settled in the home and she is so loving and kind to all of us here. The Activity Co-ordinator is truly awesome, isn't she? Everything she does is for the residents and wants to make it a really fun home to be in. We really are so grateful for all you do for the residents and how much support you give all the staff in the home. So many of the reviews talk about the wonderful care the home gives and although we do love to hear that, it's nice also to see comments such as it's clean, as this really gives a boost to the domestic staff who take so much pride in making sure the home is clean and tidy for everyone. As you state, he has been with us for over two years and is part of the family, as are you and the family. We all try so hard to make Beechville the home it is, and the staff want to ensure that everyone who comes to Beechville is made to feel like part of the family straight away, including relatives and advocates. It's very true that the activities at the home are really wonderful and our activity co-ordinator is so passionate about bringing happiness, and excitement (and plenty of entertainment) to the home too. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for Beechville. I will share this with the staff team. We all know how hard it has been for relatives, as well as the residents, not to be able to see their loved ones, especially during the ‘lockdowns’. It’s been so wonderful to open up the home again and see family, friends and advocates coming back into the home. It feels like we are finally getting back to some normality. Thank you so much for your wonderful review of Beechville. We absolutely loved having your mother-in-law with us for her short respite stay. I know that both she and her husband found the break really beneficial and relaxing which was lovely to hear when she gave feedback in the home. It's lovely how you have mentioned all the different roles in the home as they all work so closely together as a team. It’s been a truly difficult time for the staff and the residents in the home and we are all missing the relatives and friends that often visited. I also believe that the staff in this home all care so much for the residents they look after and we will continue to do so. We keep everything crossed and it continues in our prayers that one day this will all be over and we can look forward to having family and friends come back in the home to celebrate special events or just for a chat and cuppa.
