Beechville Reviews (84)
Beechville has a Review Score of 9.5 (9.491) out of 10, based on 12 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Beechville has 84 reviews.
The staff provide an excellent level care in comfortable surroundings. The food is made with fresh ingredients and is outstanding. However, the levels of communication needs improvement. We have not been made aware of our key worker (after 4 months) despite this being an action plan from a previous comment by another user in January. Similarly, appointments are not always recorded accurately and decisions on care are made without consulting close family. With improved management Beechville could be an outstanding care home.
Fantastic home with caring staff, who regularly go above and beyond. All staff greet you when they see you and take an interest in the residents and their families.
I’m so pleased that you and the family are happy with the care, and your wonderful review of the home means so much to all the staff involved in providing Mum’s care.
After looking at many care homes Beechville was the only one that felt right and ticked all our boxes. Since coming to Beechville I feel my dad has a new lease of life. The staff are truly wonderful with him, giving regular updates and going the extra mile with the personal touch. I like that he has freedom of choice, he can watch tv, wander safely or join in the many activities on offer. I wish this level of care was available to all.
Thank you so much for your review, it brought a lump to my throat when I read this out to the staff today. The staff in the home truly do try so hard to make sure all the residents are happy and safe and respect their choices. I think it's important to note that there are days that some of the...
I have visited Beechville care home on a number of occasions. I have always found the home to be a friendly and inviting place with lovely private rooms for the residents. The home is always spotlessly clean and any members of staff I have met appear to genuinely care for the residents and treat them with respect and kindness. A number of forms of stimulation are provided to ensure residents have a full and happy life. A home I would be happy to entrust with a close relative's care.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us. Your kind words will be shared with the team. Regarding the cleanliness of the home, the staff really do work so hard and are so passionate about everything looking just right, which can be hard at times considering we are not a new home. Thank you again for your lovely words.
The home is bright and clean and everyone is friendly and cheerful. I regularly tell myself and other people how happy I am that Mum came to live in Beechville.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us at Beechville, of course, I will share this with all the staff. Mum is so lovely and very settled here at Beechville and the staff absolutely love her to pieces. I’m so pleased that you and the family are happy with the care here (even...
When Mum was diagnosed with early-stage dementia and confined to a wheelchair, a friend recommended Beechville as her mother had excellent care there. As soon as Mum came to the home we realised what a special place it was. As a family, we have been delighted and impressed by the consistent quality of the care she received from all the staff in the home. This includes medical knowledge, patience and warmth shown by staff, innovative entertainment planning and liaison with family members. Mum passed away in January and the tender management and care during this difficult time, which Mum and the family received, was amazing.
Thank you so much for this review. We all miss Mum so much and the family. We do understand what a huge decision it is to move into a care setting and especially for those having to make the decision on behalf of a loved one. Beechville is a lovely home and the staff who come and work here truly...
Lovely and friendly staff. Always available to listen to any problems or questions (by residents or family members). Residents are treated with dignity. Activities are suitable for all and great entertainment. Good food and cleanliness in all areas.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review us, I will of course share this with the staff. It's always so lovely to hear that families are just as happy as the residents who live with us. I could not agree more in regard to the activities and entertainment, our activity coordinator is a...
Our relative has been permanently resident at Beechville since September 2022. She has settled in exceptionally well. The home is secure and well-managed. The care she receives is wonderful and tangible. We are advised immediately if our relative has any incident, furthermore, they also inform the social services who document, investigate and contact the relatives before closing the incident. Beechville attempts to immerse all of its residents in a large range of supervised activities. Beechville also respects resident's wishes who do not want to participate. Thank you to all of the management team and staff who are extremely approachable and accommodating.
Thank you so much for completing a review. You are right – your relative has settled in so well and was part of the Beechville family within hours of moving in. She really does enjoy the activities and will try and join in with the majority. Regarding the reporting – everyone here at Beechville...
Mum moved to Beechville in August 2022 as she could no longer live safely in her own home. Her transition was carefully managed. The care staff are incredibly proactive and contact me with concerns and solutions before I have even noticed anything is amiss. The relationship with their partner GP practice is equally impressive and Mum is being very well looked after. She sees it as 'home' now and says how much she likes it there. The building is well-maintained and the layout is pretty much perfect. Ensuite bedrooms are roomy and pleasant. Cleaners keep the place spotless and laundry staff ensure residents look clean and smart. The kitchen staff serve up a healthy and interesting menu. The activities coordinator works hard at delivering a programme that is varied, educational and fun. Mum is extremely well cared for, settled and happy. I am so glad I chose Beechville. This is a well-managed care home with a great ethos. The staff truly care about residents and I’m very grateful.
Thank you so much for writing such a beautiful review for us. Mum really has settled well into the Beechville family, as have you. I will of course share this with the staff but it was so lovely to hear that you are so happy with the home. I could not agree more in regards to all the staff, from...
Mum has made such good progress, both physically and mentally, since she arrived at Beechville Care Home. She is now very settled and seems a lot happier than she was a few months ago. The staff at Beechville treat Mum with care and dignity and it is a direct result of this degree of care that Mum is now more animated and content.
Thank you so much for this review. It's always so worrying for families, friends and advocates when someone moves into a home. There are so many anxieties around ‘have we done the right thing’ and as much as the staff in the home will try and ease the anxieties it's not until you really get to know...
Delicious homemade meals and snacks, always served with a smile.
The staff are amazing, treating residents with love and care as if they were their own families.
There is a huge range of activities and events for all interests.
My mum has lived here for 4 years and I have recommended Beechville to other friends.
Thank you so much for taking the time to send through a review. I will share this with the staff in the home. It’s been wonderful having Mum in the home for the last four years. I think our activity coordinator will be pleased to hear how happy you are with the activities, she really takes so much...
In my view, Mum is treated at all times with dignity and loving care. The staff are very experienced in all forms of dementia care and I find them all to be approachable and are always knowledgeable and up to date about Mum's needs and her daily routines.
After a less than successful spell at another care home, Mum seemed to lose years off her age from the moment she moved into Beechville. I cannot recommend the home highly enough.
Thank you so much for spending the time to send through a review. All the staff in the home absolutely love Mum and when she does come out of her room and join in with the activities, she really loves it. It's lovely to have the family come and join in too, we like to think of the home as one big...
We were worried that she would sit in a chair all day and deteriorate but this is most certainly not the case. The event coordinator is proactive and we love seeing all the social media posts. The app has been a revelation, not only does she do things that we are doing but we can see things that the rest of the family is involved in.
Thank you so much for everything you do for Mum (and therefore, for us as well).
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review for Beechville, I will share this with all the staff. It's so lovely to hear how happy the family is. Mum is loved by all. The Activity Co-ordinator is truly awesome, isn't she? Everything she does is for the residents and wants to make it a...
My mother-in-law has been a resident for 12 months now at Beechville. The care and attention she receives are excellent. There are activities going on most of the time, which the residents are encouraged to take part in. However, it is completely their choice. The staff are very welcoming, they know who you are and who you have come to visit without asking. I would have no hesitation in recommending Beechville.
Thank you so much for writing us a review and of course, this will be shared with the staff in the home. Mum is loved by us all and you are right, it's absolutely her choice should she wish to take part in any activities. Your comment in regards to the staff knowing you were so lovely to read. I...
Made very welcome on arrival and joined in with the activities that were on today. The staff are always attentive and there when needed. Entertainment is very good with all joining in. All areas are clean and tidy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. Mum has really settled into the home and seems to absolutely love all the activities we have on, especially the entertainers. It's so good to know that you have been happy with the staff. I feel so lucky and blessed that all the staff...
Before, during and after admission to this wonderful care home, my aunt and I have been treated with the utmost care and consideration. The communication between management and myself to facilitate her moving to Beechville was seamless. Everything regarding her care and well-being has been met with so much empathy by all members of the staff. The daily activities coordinator is a joy and every effort is made to engage with residents. True professionalism.
Beechville is a great place for people to live in a safe and caring environment. I would recommend Beechville based on my own experience of my mum being a resident and also have helped with some social events as a volunteer. The home is always clean, the carers and management are always helpful and the food is appetising and delicious.
Thank you so much for this review and for commenting on the home. It's lovely when relatives support by becoming a volunteer too. We really are so grateful for all you do for the residents and how much support you give all the staff in the home. So many of the reviews talk about the wonderful care...
My dad has been cared for by the wonderful staff at Beechville now for over two years. I can't thank them enough for their devotion to the care of Dad. He is well looked after, happy and content. I am kept informed of his well-being and am always welcome into the home. I feel part of the Beechville family too! I know I do not have to worry about Dad, he is cared for in every single aspect of his daily living. Good job Beechville, you are just great!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for Beechville. I will share this with all the staff. It's an absolute pleasure to care for your dad. As you state, he has been with us for over two years and is part of the family, as are you and the family. I think what any care home aims...
My stepmother originally went to stay on a respite basis in May. She has decided that she would like to stay on a permanent basis. The staff are very supportive friendly and professional. I myself feel that I can be assured that she is being cared for in a safe environment. The home work very hard to provide social activities for its residents which relatives are welcome to attend. Thank you to all management and staff.
Thank you so much for your review. It's so lovely to hear that families are happy with the services we are providing. We all try so hard to make Beechville the home it is, and the staff want to ensure that everyone who comes to Beechville is made to feel like part of the family straight away,...
Since the end of lockdown, there are more activities, outings and entertainment. Families can also be a part of that, which is lovely and the coffee shop is open more often again. I would definitely recommend Beechville Care Home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to add a review. Since your husband came to Beechville both he and yourself have become a close part of our Beechville family. It's lovely to see him happy in the home and he truly does enjoy all the activities. We would also like to say a huge thank you to you...
