Everyone at Epworth Grange have gone above and beyond to welcome my mum and help her to feel settled and safe. The kindness she is shown is constant and obviously comes from genuine care and compassion- qualities that you hope for when you are choosing a suitable care home for your very vulnerable loved one. The place is beautiful and clean and the facilities are amazing. I could not wish for better care for my mum.

My uncle settled in almost immediately. The staff are absolutely brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. They have managed to sort things out for my uncle in a very short time which I have been trying to organise for years. I really could not have placed him anywhere better. He is 95 years old. I have recommended the home to many people. I would have no objections going in there myself if and when due.

I was very upset at having to put my father into care as he had always been able to look after himself up until the last three years. The staff at Epworth Grange are absolutely wonderful and nothing is too much trouble for them to do. As a very private man, my dad is never asked to do anything he feels uncomfortable with. He compares Epworth with being a 5-star hotel and I couldn't agree more! Keep up the good work!

I have been visiting my friend since before covid and I am so pleased to be back to regular visiting. The staff have done an amazing job through this difficult time and have continued to care for residents in a highly individualised way - nothing is too much trouble and an air of friendly efficiency and kindly respect permeates the home. Thank you for being so consistent and focused on doing the very best for residents.

My mum came to Epworth Grange in late March and we were both very apprehensive about this huge change. After Mum being so independent for so long it is taking time for her to adapt but staff have worked hard to ease the transition. Both my mum and myself have been shown nothing but kindness by all staff and I am happy in the knowledge that she is safe and well cared for 24 hours a day. Nothing is too much and staff are there to care for the residents and support relatives. Epworth Grange is a happy, clean, modern, and well-planned home that gives residents the opportunity to be independent or socialise as the mood takes. I feel sure that the care that my mum now receives will give her a new lease of life and want to take this opportunity to thank all staff for their kindness and for giving my mum such a high quality of care.

My father-in-law has been a resident at Epworth Grange for over six months now. Despite the challenges of Covid-19, I have found all the staff at Epworth excellent in their care of him and their communications with us. I am very glad that we chose Epworth to care for him.

I have found the staff to be caring and considerate, showing great compassion and awareness of my mums needs. There is a positive attitude within the home with laughter high on the list to keep spirits up. End of life care is dignified and supportive.

My mum, who has Alzheimer's disease, joined the Epworth Grange family at the end of February 2021. Due to the timing of her admission, I was not able to view the facilities beforehand and Mum had to go into quarantine. I was most impressed with the seamless way Mum, who can be very difficult, was taken under the wing of the carers and made to feel comfortable and welcome. I was fortunate that nominated visitors were soon allowed and have seen for myself how Mum has settled.

It was so unfortunate that we were unable to show you our lovely home prior to your mum coming to stay with us, thank you for putting your trust in us. It is always lovely to receive positive reviews, which I will share with the staff as they work really hard to make sure the residents are well cared for.

Exceptional levels of care delivered. Residents treated with respect and dignity. Where possible, residents are involved in all aspects of care and daily living. Despite not being able to visit as much as we would like due to Covid restrictions, we continue to feel well informed. Fewer activities than usual due to a staff vacancy but every effort is being made to provide meaning and routine to life, with other staff members picking up the baton wherever possible.

We are extremely grateful for the sincere and caring attitude demonstrated by all the staff we have had contact with. This has been a very difficult time for my relative to move to a new home but the helpfulness and dedication of the staff have contributed to her settling in so well.

Sadly, my father passed away in July having lived at Epworth Grange for the last eight years and I am leaving this review on behalf of my sister and I. My father’s time at Epworth Grange was characterised by a very high standard of care and, as part of this, he was very much placed at the centre of the approach of the whole team. Importantly, all the staff made our father feel that he was not just in a home, rather he was at home; often going the extra mile to create that sense. So much so, that when he was hospitalised on a number of occasions he was visibly agitated to return, only settling when he got back to the comfort of his room and the welcome of familiar faces. We will always be grateful for the compassion of everyone at Epworth Grange over the last eight years and, to us, it was fitting that he left Epworth Grange on the day of his funeral. It was sad, but also comforting to our family to observe that the staff felt they had lost a member of their family as well. Thank you.

Mum has issues with mobility and onset of Dementia. Looking after herself became a problem and, even with daily carers, following another fall 24-hour care was needed. Mum came to look at Epworth Grange and on the brief visit commented on how friendly and happy the staff and residents seemed and that she would be happy to live there. She loves her room to which we brought items from home and is very comfortable and happy. She really enjoys mealtimes and says the food is just how she would make it! She has joined in with some of the activities, Grand National and making Easter Cards, and I love seeing her pictures on Facebook. I know she is well cared for, but importantly she is more contented than she has been for many years, and that gives me confidence for the future.

I spent most of my working life within the health sector and from my experience of going into many nursing homes, Epworth Grange is the best I have ever been in. The manager is wonderful and leads her fantastic team of carers. My mum is kept busy with all the activities arranged and everybody has a smile and a welcome comment when I visit. My mum settled in very quickly and tells me how kind everybody is in looking after her. She loves the food served and from a visitors point of view everything is scrupulously clean, homely and welcoming.

How lucky we were to find this placement for my mum when she could no longer live in her own home. All our worries were over in trying to look after our mum on the day she was admitted.

This is a small, welcoming home, with excellent, dedicated staff, who are always chatty and positive. The standard of care is very high; there is no hesitation in calling GP's etc if needed, my aunt's personal care is excellent, I have never had a reason to complain. She is happy and contented, enjoys the food and has been very well cared for. They always let me know if she needs anything in particular, eg a wheelchair and have a review of her situation every 6-months. The home is bright, clean and well maintained, there is a hairdresser and chiropodist, as well as communal organised events and close links to the church for those who want that. The high standards of care from the staff are reflected in the fact that they have had very few Covid cases; they have been rigorous in their hygiene and testing. They have maintained regular contact by e-mail with residents' families, followed up by personal calls if necessary. I can't fault their communication and dedication during this difficult time.

Mother has been at Epworth Grange for well over 2 years now.
She is extremely well looked after by a very caring, attentive and understanding staff. Mother does have her moments of uncertainty, as we all do, but a little reassurance and the moment is passed.
Her sunny room meets all her needs. Her window looks out into the garden, a pleasing view, even in winter when the green grass is the main highlight. Most months have flowers somewhere to be seen, and she does enjoy going round the garden when we are able.
The menu is well thought out with plenty of variety, and mother certainly doesn't go hungry.

All the staff make an excellent team, from carers, cleaners, seniors, admin, laundry, kitchen staff and maintenance to entertainment and the chaplain (I hope I haven't missed anybody out!). One big happy family, thank you.

Mum has resided at Epworth Grange just over three years, she is very happy there and throughout this time has received excellent care from wonderful, friendly and very caring staff who go above and beyond. They are like her extended family.
Epworth is a lovely, welcoming and clean home with a fabulous garden. They provide a varied programme of daily activities as well as meeting her spiritual needs.
During Covid-19 staff have facilitated Skype calls which have maintained virtual face to face contact with Mum and our wider families, so beneficial for her wellbeing and our peace of mind. Staff have also sent regular updates, keeping family informed during these challenging and frightening times.
Mum says her care is very good, the staff look after you really well and nothing is too much trouble. A testament to Mum's happiness.

Thank you Epworth Grange.

On March 21st I will have resided here for 2 years. I only have a nephew as blood relation who is unable to visit me, apart from twice a year, owing to disability. However, I have been welcomed and very well cared for here and attend all the social activities. My room is clean and comfortable and has some of my own furniture and photos etc. I have a very clean, well-equiped bathroom. My teacher friends visit me and comment on how well I look and a younger appearance. I benefit from the hairdressing and reflexology and now become mobile!
